Fantasy Baseball Weekly Projections: 8 Waiver Wire & Streaming Targets

As promised, we are back with a fantasy baseball article focused on weekly projections. We will identify some more waiver wire/streaming options for the coming week.

Here are more traditional waiver wire/streaming stories for Monday (hitters and starting pitchers).

Hitters

Caleb Durbin - Boston Red Sox

Durbin is rostered in 71.88% of fantasy baseball leagues as the new week begins. He's got seven games lined up for the week, and is projected to fare well.

Durbin went hitless in his lone at-bat (pinch hitting) on Sunday, which snapped a six-game hitting streak for him. He had nine knocks, 10 RBIs, six runs scored, two stolen bases, four walks and just three strikeouts over that stretch.

Durbin now has a .251 average and .323 on-base percentage over 110 games and 414 plate appearances this season. He has 22 doubles, 11 homers and a triple among his 92 total hits, plus 54 RBIs, 55 runs scored, 31 walks, 14 stolen bases and 55 strikeouts.

The primary third baseman could be eligible elsewhere from last year, but even just as a 3B, he's faring well enough to own/utilize in more fantasy leagues right now. I like him in all deeper leagues, and a fair amount of standard leagues, so look into adding him today.

Kaelen Culpepper - Minnesota Twins

Culpepper has six games scheduled for the coming week. He just got called up to the big leagues a couple days ago, but has delivered pretty well already. He sits at 25% owned.

The highly-regarded prospect has played in two games so far. Over eight plate appearances, he has a homer and a walk, plus an RBI, two runs scored and a strikeout.

It's early in his big league career, but he's already flashed a little power, and looks the part. The projections like him this week, and it's possible he pops off, so be ready to add him if that happens.

He's a better deep-league fantasy asset for now, but that could change quickly, so be ready to pounce.

Bryson Stott - Philadelphia Phillies

Stott is sitting at 68.75% rostered as he prepares for a six-game week ahead.

He has hit really well since moving to third base, after spending the rest of the season as the Phillies' second baseman. Stott now has a .263 average and .336 OBP over 113 games and 440 plate appearances.

He has 103 total hits now, including 25 doubles, eight home runs and six triples. Stott has 53 RBIs, 51 runs scored, 22 stolen bases, 42 walks and 75 strikeouts.

Stott is gaining fantasy value of late, not only because he's hitting well, but because he's gaining position eligibility at a spot other than 2B. He's a very good deep-league fantasy asset, and is worth trying in standard leagues, at least until his bat cools off considerably.

George Lombard Jr. - New York Yankees

Lombard has six games scheduled for the coming week and is projected to do well. He's rostered in 63.18% of fantasy leagues after a fast start to his big league career.

Across five games and 20 plate appearances, Lombard already has five hits and three walks. He has two home runs among the hits, plus two RBIs, four runs scored and five strikeouts.

He's a highly-regarded prospect as well, and to see him excelling early is a great sign. Lombard went from being a very good dynasty asset to a good redraft fantasy option in his first week in the big leagues.

Lombard is worth adding in any deep leagues he's still available in. He's sneaking into standard leagues already, so if you want the shortstop on your squad, you might have to add him soon.

Pitchers

Noah Cameron - Kansas City Royals

Cameron has two scheduled starts this coming week, one against the Dodgers and another against the Angels. He's owned in 58.04% of leagues.

The clash against the Dodgers is not a very favorable one, but after his past three starts, he's not a bad option either - more on that in a second. The matchup against the Angels is a super favorable one to try Cameron in, regardless of how he does against the other LA team.

Cameron has pitched 23 innings over his past three outings. Despite the Royals being 1-2 in those games, Cameron has allowed just one run on six hits and six walks. He's also struck out 24 batters in that three-outing stretch.

So you can see why Cameron is trending up. He's not the best streaming option against the Dodgers, but I also don't hate the idea of trying him because of how well he's pitched of late. Definitely try Cameron against the Angels, and expect another stellar outing.

Ryan Weathers - New York Yankees

Weathers sits at 70.09% rostered as he gets set to make two starts this week. He is lined up to face the Mariners and Blue Jays.

Both of those matchups are better than expected this season. Seattle and Toronto have both underwhelmed offensively, so Weathers is set up pretty well for the coming week.

Weathers has pitched very well of late, also allowing just one run over his past three outings. He's covered 18 2/3 innings in those starts, while surrendering 13 hits and five walks. Weathers has struck out 17 batters in that stretch.

So with Weathers trending up, he's worth streaming in both of his matchups this week. And that goes for all leagues, not just deeper leagues.

Hayden Wesneski - Houston Astros

Wesneski is owned in just 23.18% of leagues. He will make starts against the Giants and Mariners this week.

Both of those matchups are solid on paper, especially that one against the Giants. Wesneski could be in line for a big fantasy week as a result.

Wesneski has made just two big league starts in 2026. He's fared well, winning in each appearance. Wesneski has allowed five runs over 11 2/3 innings, while giving up 11 hits and four walks. He has eight strikeouts so far.

It's a small sample size, but Wesneski has pitched pretty well so far, and in two solid matchups this week, he's a good streaming option. I like him better in deeper leagues, but he's also a standard league option, so give Wesneski consideration at least.

Bryce Elder - Atlanta Braves

Elder has starts lined up against the Mets and Diamondbacks this week. He's rostered in 67.73% of fantasy leagues right now.

The Mets are a very favorable matchup for a streaming pitcher. The D-Backs are a so-so matchup.

Elder has excelled of late, allowing two or fewer runs in four straight starts. He's covered 24 innings in that stretch, giving up 14 hits and 10 walks, while striking out 18 batters.

He's been up and down this season, but has fared better of late. Elder is a good deep-league option for the coming week, and in two good matchups, he could also be tried in standard leagues.
