A look at the top first base prospects in the latest MLB top-100 rankings.

Top-100 Ranked First Basemen

For the first time in this series, there's less than 10 players ranked in the top-100, so we will switch the sections around and discuss just the top-100 first basemen first.

Cincinnati's Sal Stewart (No. 22), San Francisco's Bryce Eldridge (No. 25), Colorado's Charlie Condon (No. 70) and Cleveland's Ralphy Velazquez (No. 89) are the top-100 ranked first basemen.

Stewart is 22 years old and can play around the infield. He was the No. 32 overall pick in 2022, and has already made his MLB debut.

In 18 big league games last season, Stewart had a .255 average and .293 on-base percentage. He had a .289 average and .390 OBP over 323 minor league games, and if he can tap into that, Stewart could have some good fantasy value in all leagues - he is a better dynasty league asset for now.

Eldridge made his MLB debut in 2025 as well. He's 21 years old and was the No. 16 overall pick back in 2023.

He had a .107 average and .297 OBP over 10 big league games last year. Eldridge has a .279 average and .360 OBP over 249 minor league games, so we'll see if he can improve to closer to those marks in his next taste of MLB action. He's just a deep-league asset for now, but that could change with a big spring or showing in the big leagues.

Condon is 22 years old and is expected to debut sometime in 2026. He was the No. 3 pick in 2024.

He has a .249 average and .351 OBP over 124 minor league games so far. Condon can also play the outfield, so he has multiple ways to make the majors. He'll be a name to keep in mind, but probably for a call up later in the season, not anything right away.

Velazquez is another first baseman who can play the outfield too. He's 20 years old and was a first-round pick in 2023. Velazquez has a 2027 ETA.

In three minor league years, he's played 229 games. So far, Velazquez has a .253 average and .345 OBP. He's got more minor league seasoning before he's ready for the big leagues, so he's just a dynasty asset for the time being.

Other Top-10 1Bs

New York Mets' Ryan Clifford, Cincinnati's Cam Collier, Chicago Cubs' Jonathon Long, Milwaukee's Luke Adams and Tampa Bay's Xavier Isaac and Tre' Morgan are the other top-10 first basemen in the newest MLB prospect rankings.

Clifford is a 22-year-old who was taken in the 11th round in 2022. He has a 2026 ETA - he's helped because he too can play the outfield.

Clifford has played in parts of four years in the minor leagues, posting a .242 average and .370 OBP over 408 games. He's made it up to Triple-A, so he's probably not super far away from making the big leagues. He'll need to play well, have an injury to a Met or get a change of scenery, to help the youngster reach the big leagues and stick for an extended period.

Collier is a corner infielder, also being able to play third base. He's 21 years old, was drafted 18th overall in 2022 and has a 2027 ETA.

Collier has played 334 minor league games over four years and has gotten up to Double-A. He owns a .259 average and .367 OBP so far. He has some more minor league seasoning ahead of him, but if he excels this coming year, I think there's a chance he gets called up to the big leagues late in the season.

Long is 24 years old, was drafted in the ninth round in 2023 and has a 2026 ETA.

In three years of minor league play, Long has a .294 average and .398 OBP over 280 games. He was great at Triple-A last season, so he's got a chance to make the MLB team right out of spring training - he should be in the big leagues for some team before 2026 is up, and if he continues to hit there, he's got some fantasy value to take advantage of.

Adams is another corner infield option. He's 21 years old, was a 12th-round pick in 2022 and has a 2026 ETA.

In four years and across 283 minor league games, Adams has a .236 average and .423 OBP. He's yet to appear in Triple-A, so he has some more time in the minors ahead probably, which makes him a late-season call up option probably.

Isaac is 22 years old - he was a first-round pick in 2022 and has a 2027 ETA. Morgan is 23 years old, was a third-round pick in 2023 and has a 2026 ETA.

Isaac has played in 250 minor league games over four years, posting a .262 average and .378 OBP. He struggled over 41 games at Double-A last year, so hopefully he can bounce back this coming season.

Morgan has played in 206 minor league games over three years. He has a .307 average and .408 OBP so far, so he definitely intrigues me as a prospect. He can also play the outfield, so I think there's a chance he makes the big league team right away, or not too deep into the season - he could have some good fantasy upside if he keeps producing like he has in the minor leagues.
