Top Pitchers
Chicago White Sox’s Erick Fedde had the longest start of the weekend, going 8 1/3 innings. He earned a win after striking out nine batters and allowing two runs on seven hits. Fedde didn’t walk a batter.
New York Mets’ Jose Quintana and Philadelphia’s Aaron Nola and Ranger Suarez all worked eight innings.
Quintana allowed one run on three hits and a walk, while striking out three. He did not get a decision.
Nola earned a win after allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk, while striking out 10. Suarez also got a win after surrendering a run on three hits, while striking out eight and walking none.
Seattle’s George Kirby led the league with 12 strikeouts. He didn’t allow a run over seven innings while getting the win. Kirby surrendered two hits and one walk.
Arizona’s Brandon Pfaadt struck out 11 over six innings, but didn’t earn a decision. He allowed two runs on five hits, while walking none.
Texas’ Dane Dunning struck out 10 over just 5 1/3 innings. He got the win after allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, while walking none.
Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene allowed just one hit and a walk across seven scoreless innings. He picked up a win and struck out six along the way.
Atlanta’s Chris Sale allowed a run on two hits, while striking out six over seven innings. He also earned a win.
Chicago White Sox’s Chris Flexen allowed two hits and three walks over five scoreless innings to get a win. He struck out just two.
Los Angeles Dodgers’ Tyler Glasnow allowed a run on two hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out nine and picked up the win.
New York Yankees’ Carlos Rodon allowed a run on two hits and a walk across six innings on his way to a win. He struck out eight batters.
Seattle’s Emerson Hancock allowed a run on two hits, a hit batter and two walks across six innings. Hancock struck out four and picked up the win.
Dodgers’ Gavin Stone allowed a run on two hits and two walks across seven innings while getting the win. Stone struck out only two batters.
Cleveland’s Tanner Bibee didn’t allow a run across seven innings, but didn’t get the win. He struck out nine and allowed just two hits.
Kansas City’s Seth Lugo got a win after striking out nine across seven innings. He allowed no runs, while giving up three hits and two walks.
St. Louis’ Sonny Gray struck out nine over six innings while getting a win. He surrendered four runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks.
San Francisco’s Jordan Hicks also struck out nine batters over six innings, but didn’t earn a decision. He allowed a run on five hits, while walking none.
Boston’s Tanner Houck struck out nine over 6 2/3 innings. He gave up a run on four hits, while walking none and hitting a batter.
Seattle’s Logan Gilbert struck out nine across 6 1/3 innings. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk.
Minnesota’s Bailey Ober worked 7 1/3 innings and got a win after allowing two runs on three hits and three walks. Ober struck out eight batters.
Atlanta’s Charlie Morton struck out six over seven scoreless innings, but didn’t earn the win. He allowed four hits and one walk.
Baltimore’s Cole Irvin didn’t allow a run over seven innings while earning a win. He allowed four hits and hit a batter, while striking out five.
Pittsburgh’s Quinn Priester didn’t earn a decision despite tossing six scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and a walk, while striking out six.
San Francisco’s Kyle Harrison tossed six scoreless innings. He struck out seven, while allowing five hits.
Texas’ Kirby Yates, Washington’s Kyle Finnegan, St. Louis’ Ryan Helsley and Detroit’s Jason Foley all picked up two saves this weekend. Foley allowed two runs, while the other three all worked two scoreless innings.
St. Louis’ Andrew Kittredge and JoJo Romero, Baltimore’s Yennier Cano and Danny Coulombe and Washington’s Hunter Harvey all had two holds out of the bullpen. Coulombe was the only reliever in that group to allow a run.
San Francisco’s Camilo Doval pitched in three games, earning one win and a save, while striking out two across three innings.
