Fantasy Baseball Draft Software

Brant Tedeschi Mar 15th 4:52 PM EDT.

Preparing for a fantasy draft can be pretty daunting, especially if you may be new to fantasy baseball. Luckily there are tons of useful tips and tricks that can making drafting a whole lot easier. I highly suggest following these fantasy baseball draft tips before your next draft.

Chances are you are here to learn about fantasy baseball draft software and what makes it so useful for both veterans and newbies. The goal of our draft tool, which we call the Draft Genius, is to make drafting a better experience and less stressful. I'll go into more detail below, but first I want to mention one of the biggest knocks that people might say about draft software.

Those of you who decide to use draft software can do so knowing that is not cheating. It is no different than heading into a draft in the 90s with a fantasy baseball guide book and others deciding not to use a guide book.

Some people just take their fantasy draft more seriously than others. For those of you who take drafting seriously and also enjoy every minute of it, then continue on.

Draft Software Recommends Picks

The Draft Genius will make drafting easier by recommending picks for you based on their value. The goal for each pick is to get the most value possible so we suggest the top 10 picks with the most value.

You'll notice in the picture above that Carlos Correa offers the most draft value followed by Whit Merrifield.

Included with each pick suggestion is a ton of useful stats at your fingertips. We show their projected totals for the upcoming season, previous years stats, and their latest news from around the internet. Staying on top of a players news is absolutely imperative during a draft and we wanted to make that as easy as possible.

In addition to those stats, we also show Draft Value, Average Draft Position (ADP), and Trending ADP. Trending ADP data will show the rise or fall within the past week and is an important indicator on players you may want to avoid or target.

By clicking on the Trending ADP number a new popup will appear indicating their entire draft position for the draft season. This is especially useful when trying to narrow down value for a specific player.

You can customize draft picks by a specific position and/or a specific category. Let's say you know you are weak in strikeouts and want to narrow down the best remaining pitcher with the most projected strikeouts.

During a draft, how would you know if you were weak in strikeouts to begin with?

Real-time Team Projections

Our fantasy baseball draft software will automatically project your team across categories that are relevant to your league.

This is a massive advantage when it comes to drafting because weak and strong points for a fantasy team may not be easily known as a draft unfolds.

Each category listed shows a range of the best and worst projected team in that category. The green or red lines indicate if you are projected to do well compared to the rest of the league. The location of the red line shows exactly where your team stacks up.

As you can see from the picture above, overall I have drafted a pretty good pitching staff (aside from saves) but my hitters are weak across the board. At this point in the draft I could focus more on saves or trying to get some power hitters to improve in my weakest hitter categories.

Even if I ended the draft with these numbers, at least I know heading into opening day that I will need to improve my hitters.

Wrap Up

The combination of Draft Value and Real-time projections are the two biggest reasons why you would want to use draft software for your next draft.

The best part is that it is perfect to use for a category based league or a simple points based league. The Draft Genius will automatically adjust accordingly.
