Jordan Reed on PUP list, but likely just precautionary move

Fantasy owners and Washington Redskins fans know how important Jordan Reed is to their success. Evidently, so does Redskins management as they decided to put Reed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Reed has been suffering from a sprained toe which does not seem to be too serious. The move is apparently a precautionary one, according to the Post's source.

Chris Sale Continues to Dominate

Chris Sale and the Boston Red Sox dominated the Seattle Mariners by the score of 4-0. Sale ended the day with 7 IP, 3 hits, 1 walk, and 11 strikeouts.

Business as usual for Chris Sale. He has given up only 4 runs for the entire month of July and lowered his ERA to 2.37 and WHIP to 0.88.

Aroldis Chapman's disappointing season continues

The Yankees and fantasy owners had high hopes for Aroldis Chapman heading into the 2017 baseball season. He was projected by many to be a top 3 closer and hasn't come close to meeting those expectations.

He has been activated from the DL over a month ago and has only managed ONE save. Yes, you read that correctly, he has more blown saves (2) since coming off the DL than actual saves.

Jacob Faria is a hot waiver pickup

Jacob Faria has two starts so far this season and looked extremely impressive in both starts for the Tampa Bay Rays. He picked up two wins and two quality starts already.

Faria has pitched 12.2 innings for a 13/3 K/BB and a 9.2 K/9 with a 1.42 ERA and .95 WHIP. Those are lights out numbers and he has already increased in ownership up to 53%.

Joey Gallo moved to clean-up spot in lineup

Joey Gallo is moving into the cleanup spot in the Rangers lineup. Gallo is one of the team's most productive hitters so far this season and is leading the team in home runs with 8.

This move also means that the team's previous 4 and 5 hitters, Rougned Odor and Mike Napoli, will be moved around. Odor will move into the 2 spot and Napoli will drop down to the 7 spot in the order.

Gary Sanchez expected to be out four weeks

New York Yankees young phenom Gary Sanchez is expected to be out four weeks with a "Grade 1 strain of a muscle behind the biceps", according to Bryan Hoch.

This is a big blow to the Yankees who is their most exciting player to watch and most productive since being called up to the majors last season. Prior to this injury, Sanchez didn't have much time to get going and currently heads to the DL sporting a .150 avg, 1 hr, 2 rbi, and 1 run.

Zach Britton overcomes injury scare to close out Yankees

Zach Britton was pitching in the ninth when fielding a comebacker to the mound by Sanchez. The ball did not hit him, but he was grimacing afterwards and may have tweaked his knee while bending down awkwardly to field the grounder.

After throwing out Sanchez at first base, the trainer was called out but Britton indicated that he was okay. He then promptly closed out the Yankees a few minutes later.

Francisco Lindor hits home run in 1st

Francisco Lindor stayed red hot heading into Friday nights game against the Arizona Diamondbacks hitting a solo home run in the first inning.

Lindor is off to a blistering pace in this young season. The game has yet to finish, but so far he is hitting 364 with 3 home runs, 7 rbi, 4 runs scored, and one stolen base.

Brandon Belt hits Grand Slam

Brandon Belt has had a monster game against the Padres, hitting a Grand Slam in the top of the 6th inning and a solo home run in the 8th.

Belt was red hot today and finished with 5 RBI and 2 RUNS. His big day boasted his batting average to 286. He is leading the Giants in home runs (3) and RBI (7) in this early season.
