Is Andrew Luck safe to draft in 2018?

Brant Tedeschi Jul 20th 5:06 PM EDT.

The news just broke that Andrew Luck has been cleared to fully participate in training camp with the Indianapolis Colts. Colts fans are probably relieved that their guy is finally back and the quarterback drama is over.

But what does this mean for fantasy owners? Is Andrew Luck safe to draft as your quarterback? We are early into draft season for 2018, but as it stands today Luck has an ADP of 129. This puts Luck at roughly the 19th quarterback in most leagues.

Adalberto Mondesi offers deep league help

Brant Tedeschi Jul 11th 6:03 PM EDT.

Adalberto Mondesi went from unheard amongst pretty much anyone to a slightly wider range including some fantasy baseball team owners. Mondesi had a breakout game last night and is worth taking a look at.

Last night Mondesi had two hits, one home run, one run scored, one stolen base, and 4 runs batted in against the Minnesota Twins. A great statline for even MIke Trout.

Andrew Suarez's fantasy value

Brant Tedeschi Jul 9th 5:21 PM EDT.

San Francisco Giants rookie Andrew Suarez has quietly put together a solid case for himself as a top waiver claim.

The past 5 starts for Suarez have been great and brought his ERA down from 5.06 to just under 4 at 3.92. Meanwhile his WHIP has been fairly consistent during this stretch hovering around the 1.25 to 1.28 range.

Deep League Pitcher Help, Under 15% OWN

Brant Tedeschi Jul 2nd 5:36 PM EDT.

Today we are going to talk about Max Fried, a pitcher on the Atlanta Braves who has been very impressive during his 5 appearances so far this season. He is currently slated to pitch on Thursday, but his future in the rotation on the Braves is completely unknown.

So far this season Fried has pitched 17.2 innings with a 2.55 ERA and 1.3 WHIP to go along with an amazing 12.2 K/9. Fried started off as a reliever and has been extending his PC to a season high 101 as of June 30th against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Deep League OF Waiver Wire Help

Brant Tedeschi Jun 30th 2:35 PM EDT.

In deeper leagues, it's completely understandable that you may go through quite a few outfielders during the course of the season. The goal is to ride hot streaks and drop them when they get cold. If you happen to find an outfielder to hold onto all season-long, then consider yourself lucky.

Keon Broxton may be the guy you are looking to snag for a season-long replacement in the outfielder position. He was recently called up on Tuesday and in 3 games is batting .444 with 2 home runs, 4 RBI, and 4 runs scored to go along with 1 stolen base.

Do Not Drop Chase Anderson

Brant Tedeschi Jun 29th 2:31 PM EDT.

I've been watching the ownership of Chase Anderson plummet as the season has gone on. As of today, his ownership is hovering at around 64%.

We can all understand why owners have felt it was time to unload Chase for better options, but keep in mind that Anderson was a part of a lot of winning fantasy teams last season. Few pitchers were better down the stretch than him.

Zach Eflin is the pitcher to pick-up on the waiver wire

Brant Tedeschi Jun 28th 3:36 PM EDT.

Zach Eflin has been absolutely stellar in the month of June for the Philadelphia Phillies. For the month of June, Eflin ended with a 5-0 record, 30.2 innings pitched, 28 strikeouts to go along with a 1.76 ERA and 0.97 WHIP.

Before even continuing this article, you should be jumping on the waiver wire right now to pick him up. There is still a slight chance you can snag in in a 10 or 12 team league with ownership at around 56%.

Sonny Gray makes the cut list and a buy-low candidate

Brant Tedeschi Jun 24th 12:18 PM EDT.

Sonny Gray of the New York Yankees hasn't had the stellar year that most of us hoped he would with his first full season with the club and plenty of run support.

So far this season Gray has a 4.93 ERA, 1.44 WHIP to go along with 8.2 strikeouts per nine innings. His record for the year is 5-5.

Healy has caught fire, plus his future fantasy value

Brant Tedeschi Jun 14th 3:47 PM EDT.

Ryon Healy has just caught fire over the past three games after overcoming a tough month or so of extremely poor hitting.

In the past 3 days, Healy has 3 home runs, 5 runs scored, and 5 runs batted in. Fantasy owners everywhere are scrambling for the red hot Healy, but let's not forget how poor he has been in the past 30 days.

Anderson's fantasy value

Brant Tedeschi Jun 13th 2:18 PM EDT.

Brian Anderson is on a bit of a tear as of late for the Miami Marlins. He has hit safely in all but one game in June and 6 of those are multi-hit games.

The 25-year old rookie is hitting 311 with 4 home runs, 32 runs batted in, and 37 runs scored. Anderson is not exactly a power hitter, but he has been very productive in all other areas. Half of his home runs have come in the month of June.
