2026 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: JSN Leads My Team From Pick No. 5

It's time for our second fantasy football mock draft of the year!

We will again use the FantasySP mock draft tool, this time selecting fifth in a 10-team PPR setup. The roster includes one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one flex spot, one kicker and one defense/special teams, along with five bench slots.

The first mock draft we did was similar settings, but from the fifth pick. Keep checking back for more mock drafts as the 2026 NFL season nears!

Round 1 - Jaxon Smith-Njigba

I decided on JSN with the first pick in this mock. I debated Christian McCaffrey and Jonathan Taylor, but felt most confident in Smith-Njigba.

He was a top-end fantasy wideout last season, and I expect a similar performance in 2026, as the Seahawks didn't change too much offensively. With Kenneth Walker out of the picture, I think JSN's fantasy ceiling is even higher than last year.

He's a stellar player to build around.

Round 2 - Omarion Hampton

I love the fantasy outlook for Hampton, so I'm happy to take him here in round 2.

It's worrisome that he only played nine games in his rookie season, but I just like his ceiling too much to take anyone else over him. He'll be the workhorse for LA, and I expect Hampton to shine in his second season.

Especially after not getting a running back in round 1, I felt I needed one here in round 2, and was tickled to land Hampton, who I believe has top-10 fantasy upside.

Round 3 - Kyren Williams

I passed on several players on the ADP list to take Williams, who I believe is being undervalued coming into 2026.

I wanted to solidify my running back position, in case Hampton deals with injuries again, and Williams was the best pick to accomplish that. I passed on Breece Hall at RB, plus Josh Allen, A.J. Brown, Malik Nabers, Chris Olave and Rashee Rice.

Again, I went with who I believe who had the best upside, and that's Williams in a loaded Rams' offense.

Round 4 - Tetairoa McMillan

I decided on a second receiver here in McMillan - he was the top player on the ADP list.

I liked his outlook more than Tee Higgins, DeVonta Smith and Zay Flowers, who are next up on the ADP list. McMillan is the unquestioned top wideout in Carolina, and despite having a so-so QB in Bryce Young, I feel confident enough in him to grab McMillan here in the fourth round.

Round 5 - Bucky Irving

I was torn between two Buccaneers here, and eventually landed on Irving over Emeka Egbuka. My previous picks at these positions led to me grabbing the running back over the wideout.

Irving dealt with injuries last season, so like Hampton, he's a bit of a riskier RB pick. If Irving stays healthy, he could be a huge draft steal from this spot, so I decided to grab him.

Round 6 - Mike Evans

From a Buc to a former Buc. I decided on Evans here in round 6 to serve as my third fantasy wideout already.

I like his outlook in San Francisco, and there's room for him to outproduce his draft slot if he stays healthy and meshes with Brock Purdy and company right away. 

Round 7 - Tucker Kraft

I reached a bit, according to ADP, to draft Kraft here.

I debated a quarterback, but didn't love the value there. I looked at running backs and wide receivers again, but couldn't justify a backup option over a starter in Kraft. Things can fall off quickly at TE, so I decided now was the time to get Kraft, who is poised for a big season, but has some risk coming off a major injury.

Round 8 - Jadarian Price

I am taking Price for a second straight mock draft. That'll continue for as long as he stays near this ADP.

Price has a chance to start all season in Seattle, as Walker is gone and Zach Charbonnet is coming off a major injury. If nothing else, Price gives me another weekly starting option at running back, and he could be a great value from this draft slot.

Also, there was a massive run on tight ends after I got Kraft, so I'm thrilled about that pick even more so now.

Round 9 - Trevor Lawrence

I wasn't super fond of the options at this point, so I decided to fill a quarterback slot finally with Lawrence.

He ended last season hot, and I think he's being overlooked going into this season. I love this draft value, and think he could go down as a fantasy steal again. 

I'll still probably take another QB later, but I don't need to as I believe in Lawrence.

Round 10 - Wan'Dale Robinson

I again wasn't thrilled with the guys around this pick, so I took a swing on Robinson, who broke out last season.

I like his outlook with the Titans, and think he could emerge as a weekly flex-starting option. If that happens, I like the value and upside of this pick.

Round 11 - Jake Ferguson

A second fantasy tight end was a priority after I got Kraft earlier, and I decided to take Ferguson now to assure I got a guy I really liked.

He was a good fantasy asset last season, and I expect another good season out of him in the Dallas offense. He protects me in case Kraft isn't his old self after the injury, and could even be a flex-level option here and there.

Round 12 - Matthew Stafford

I feel really good about my roster and honestly was tempted to go after a high-end fantasy DST or K, but decided to get a second quarterback first and snag Stafford here.

He's criminally underrated going into this season after what he did last season. I have a second starting option at QB, and might end up playing him over Lawrence - that might make that Lawrence pick a questionable one, but I don't mind having two options there.

Round 13 - Brandon Aubrey

DSTs started going after my last pick, so I probably should have trusted my instinct before making my selection. I decided to skip DST here and get a top-end fantasy kicker in Aubrey instead.

When fantasy owners are feeling good about the rest of their teams, that's when Ks and DSTs become draft options. It might not seem like it in the moment, but these picks can take teams from good to great, or average to good, so don't be afraid to make the move if you feel set before your last two rounds.

Round 14 - Broncos DST

There were two DSTs I considered here, and I chose the Broncos DST over the Browns DST in the end.

I was going to wait until the 15th round to grab a DST, but didn't want both to be scooped up, so I made the move in round 14 instead. Denver's defense should be a top-notch one again in 2026, so I'm loving my team's final few picks.

Round 15 - Woody Marks

I decided on Marks with my final pick, even though I was very tempted to grab Charbonnet.

Marks has the chance to carve out a decent role in Houston, even with David Montgomery around. Marks will be droppable if I need to stream elsewhere, otherwise I'll stash him and hope he gets the lead role at some point in the coming year.

Final Thoughts

I love the final look of my roster, but I was given an 84/100, which is a B grade. That's likely because I reached on a couple picks.

Again though, I love how my roster sets up. Starting at quarterback, Lawrence and Stafford are a great duo, and should mean I don't need to stream anyone else this season, unless one is bitten by injuries.

An RB room of Hampton, Williams, Irving, Price and Marks is a very strong one in my eyes. I have high upside all over the place, and could see all five, and especially the top four, being weekly starting options.

Wide receiver feels good too with Smith-Njigba, McMillan, Evans and Robinson. It's probably my weakest position overall, even though my first pick was that position. I think I can get by with these guys, or deal from other positions of strength to improve wideout, if needed.

Tight end also feels strong with Kraft and Ferguson in the room. I should have two weekly starting options, meaning I could trade one away for a wideout if needed, or just start both tight ends if they are delivering.

Kicker (Aubrey) and DST (Broncos) are also two high-end fantasy options, so this team is well-rounded and a playoff contender in my eyes. Injuries would probably determine if I could win it all or not, as most fantasy seasons are determined.
