Top 20 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers for the Divisional Round
Morgan ranks his top-20 fantasy wide receivers for the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
Let's knock off our third set of rankings for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Here, we will go over wide receiver rankings, offering up a top-20 list.
Be sure to check out rankings for quarterbacks and running backs. Check back soon for the tight end ranking article.
Use the FantasySP start/sit tool to help determine the best options for the Divisional Round.
1. Puka Nacua
Nacua gets the No. 1 ranking for a second week in a row - this time, he had more competition though.
Nacua had a good fantasy outing in the first round, and should deliver big against the Bears this coming week. Chicago was the second-best fantasy matchup for a wideout, so Nacua won't be the only Rams' wideout who will deliver big.
Smith-Njigba gets the No. 2 spot after getting a week of rest. He was right there with Nacua for the top fantasy wideout this season.
San Francisco is a slightly above-average test for JSN. He had 124 yards across nine catches and 13 targets in week 1 against the Niners, then 84 yards on six grabs and eight targets in week 18.
I expect Smith-Njigba to star again this week, and contend for the No. 1 fantasy wideout spot.
Adams is the other Rams' wideout who could star this week.
He returned to the field in the Wild Card Round and posted 72 receiving yards across five receptions and 13 targets. In a favorable test, Adams should shine as a fantasy asset.
I am going to give Sutton my No. 4 ranking for the week heading into a tougher test against the Bills.
Sutton had a pretty nice finish to the season, so I have enough confidence taking him here as a result.
5. Nico Collins
Collins is dealing with a concussion, so his status needs to be watched. If he cannot go, the Texans' offense will be in a world of hurt.
The Patriots are a tougher fantasy test for wideouts already, so expectations would need to be tempered if Collins is able to suit up.
6. Stefon Diggs
Diggs ranks sixth for me heading into a very tough matchup against the Texans.
Diggs was held in check in the Wild Card Round, but I believe in him the most of the Patriots' wideouts still and trust him enough to try him sixth among all wideouts.
Jennings was another wideout who underwhelmed last week, but he threw a touchdown to save his fantasy day.
He has a tough test against the Seahawks, who he posted just 51 yards on six catches and 11 targets against in both regular season meetings combined.
I expect a bounceback outing for Jennings this coming week, especially with George Kittle out with an injury.
Shakir is the top Buffalo wide receiver, so I decided to finally rank him here.
His matchup against the Broncos is very tough. Coming off a huge game though, I couldn't pass on Shakir any longer.
I'm going to take Burden as the top Bears' fantasy wideout for the coming week.
He had 42 yards across three grabs and seven targets last week. An above-average test against the Rams is a chance for Burden and other Bears' wideouts to deliver several fantasy points.
10. Christian Kirk
Kirk surprised in a big way in the Wild Card Round, and could take on more with Collins at least banged up. If Collins is out, I'd bump Collins up between Diggs and Jennings.
He could deliver big again even with Collins out there, because the matchup isn't super daunting.
11. Kayshon Boutte
Boutte had a pretty solid outing in the first round of the playoffs.
If not for the brutal test against the Texans, I'd have ranked Boutte a couple slots higher. He could surprise again, but I feel safest ranking him here at No. 11.
12. Rome Odunze
Odunze didn't do a ton in his first game back from injury last week, but he was targeted six times, so that was a positive.
The favorable test against the Rams makes him a decent option for this week. With no clear leader in the wideout room for fantasy points right now, Burden, Odunze and the next-ranked player are all fantasy options to consider this coming week.
13. D.J. Moore
Moore was the top fantasy wideout on Chicago last week, with a score helping him deliver a really good fantasy score.
Maybe all three wideouts could deliver solid fantasy scores, but it'd probably take a high-scoring game for that to happen. I'm not sure that happens in the outdoor venue in Chicago.
Robinson surprised in a big way in the first round of the postseason. He could again with Kittle out and if a teammate (who ranks 16th) doesn't play again.
Robinson played once against Seattle while with San Fran, going for just 24 yards over three grabs and four targets in the final week of the regular season.
15. Troy Franklin
Franklin spent some time looking like WR1 in Denver, but feels safer as the No. 2 option now.
He could still deliver a nice fantasy score in that role, but he doesn't feel like a super safe/confident option to me.
16. Ricky Pearsall
Pearsall is working through a knee injury, so his status needs to be watched closely.
He could return to a big role without Kittle around, but he wouldn't be a confident play coming off a couple-week absence. Pearsall is still an option, especially considering he went for 108 yards on four grabs and seven targets against Seattle back in week 1.
17. Brandin Cooks
Cooks had a decent fantasy performance in the Wild Card Round. He could be WR2 for Buffalo after Shakir.
The tougher test against Denver doesn't make him super appealing for the coming week, but someone has to deliver for Buffalo, and it just could be Cooks.
18. Jayden Higgins
Higgins was involved enough to mention near the end of my rankings, especially with Collins possibly limited or out completely.
You can bump him up a few spots if Collins ends up sitting for the next round. Higgins is more of a lottery ticket play, not someone to trust (even if Collins were out).
19. Cooper Kupp
I'm ending my rankings with a pair of Seattle wideouts, the first one being Kupp.
He was a distant option in the Seahawks' passing game behind Smith-Njigba, but he still could do a bit this coming week. Kupp had 15 yards on two grabs and three targets against San Fran back in week 1, while going for 29 yards on two receptions and three targets in week 18.
20. Rashid Shaheed
Shaheed is the other Seattle wideout who I think deserves a top-20 ranking for the Divisional Round. He started the year in New Orleans before being traded to Seattle.
He had 52 yards and a score on four catches and five targets against the Niners while with the Saints in week 2. Shaheed only had a two-yard grab on his one and only target in week 18.
San Fran is probably going to try to eliminate JSN from the offense, so Kupp and Shaheed could do a bit and provide a few fantasy points. Don't count on them for much, but they could be cheap DFS options.
