Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for Week 7: Where are Justin Fields, Matthew Stafford and Tua Tagovailoa After Down Performances?
Morgan gives his week 7 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
Week 7 will be here before you know it, so it's time to start diving into fantasy football rankings.
We will be starting with the quarterback position today. Check back later for writeups on running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.

Daniels is my No. 1 quarterback for a second straight week.
He fared pretty well in week 6, but is first this week because of a stellar matchup against the Cowboys. It's the most favorable fantasy matchup a quarterback can have.
Mahomes is the No. 1 fantasy quarterback so far, so I like him in the No. 2 spot for week 7.
He has a clash against the Raiders, which is actually a bit tougher matchup. However, with the state of the Chiefs' offense, and the return of Rashee Rice, I see Mahomes excelling in this one.
Mayfield might be down his top-four receivers in week 7, but he's consistently delivered all year, so I have no issues listing him third for this coming week.
He has a pretty favorable matchup coming against the Lions, so I expect Mayfield to still deliver monster fantasy numbers and keep adding to his MVP case.
4. Dak Prescott
Prescott has been sensational over the past three weeks, and I expect that to continue in week 7.
He gets the Commanders, who are another really favorable fantasy matchup for a quarterback.
5. Drake Maye
Maye has taken a big step forward to open his second NFL season, and I see him continuing his strong start with another good outing this week.
He has a tough test against the Titans, but that's not going to stop me from trusting Maye to deliver a good fantasy score.
6. Jalen Hurts
Hurts has scored a similar amount of fantasy points to Maye, and also has a tough matchup coming against the Vikings.
Minnesota has been a slightly tougher test, so Hurts drops below Maye this week.
Williams has been pretty good as a fantasy asset this season, and has the chance to deliver again in week 7.
He gets a very favorable matchup against the Saints, so he could easily end up outperforming the ranking I gave him.
8. Daniel Jones
Jones is a top-10 fantasy QB on a per-week basis so far, so I'm keeping him inside the top 10 for week 7.
He has a tougher test against the Chargers, but until he gives us reason to not trust him, I'm going to keep rolling with Jones.
Herbert had a bit better showing in week 6, so I'm confident enough in him to rank him at No. 9 for this week.
He has a tougher test against the Colts, but really, it's just under average. I believe in Herbert and this Chargers' offense to deliver in most matchups, including this one.
10. Justin Fields
This is a scary spot to put Fields, who just scored in single digits for the second time this season.
His test against the Panthers is just below average, but I expect him and the Jets' offense to bounce back a bit. I understand if you don't want to trust him, but I'm at least willing to give him one more chance here.
11. Jared Goff
Goff gets the No. 11 spot heading into his test against the Buccaneers.
It's a pretty favorable matchup on paper, so I expect to see a good showing from Goff and the Lions' offense.
12. Matthew Stafford
Stafford struggled in week 6, and now might be without Puka Nacua. I still think Stafford is worth starting in week 7 against the Jaguars.
Jacksonville is another above-average matchup, and I expect Stafford to look much better this week than he did this past Sunday.
13. Jordan Love
Love has his name in the MVP discussion, but he's more of an average fantasy QB on a per-week basis so far.
I see him delivering slightly above-average marks this week in a bit tougher test against the Cardinals. Love could also easily finish above this ranking if he throws for touchdowns instead of the Pack scoring on the ground.
14. Bo Nix
Give me Nix is the No. 14 slot this week.
He has a test against the Giants this coming week. His matchup is pretty average on paper.
15. Kyler Murray or Jacoby Brissett
Murray is still working his way back from an injury, so his status will be one to watch. I'd rank Brissett here too if he ends up starting again.
The clash against the Packers is pretty average, so it's fair to rank the Arizona quarterbacks right in the middle of things this week.
16. C.J. Stroud
Stroud returns to the field after his bye week - he was pretty good in the two weeks leading up to the team's bye.
He has an average test against the Seahawks, so I expect Stroud to keep delivering for fantasy owners.
17. Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers is coming off his second-best fantasy showing of the season, but it was still just above average.
His clash with the Bengals this week is a pretty favorable one, so we'll see if the aging QB can deliver again.
18. Brock Purdy or Mac Jones
Purdy or Jones would both go at No. 18 depending on who starts against the Falcons.
It's a below-average matchup for the Niners' QB, and a bit scarier one after the Falcons' defense just stumped Josh Allen and the Bills' offense.
19. Trevor Lawrence
I'd like to rank Lawrence higher, but a tougher test against the Rams is holding me back from doing that.
I still think Lawrence could surprise in week 7, which would continue a two-week upward trend.
20. Sam Darnold
I really have been singing Darnold's praises over the past couple weeks, but it's hard to rank him higher for the coming week.
He has a very tough test against the Texans up next. Houston has been the toughest fantasy matchup for a quarterback by quite a bit, so Darnold's No. 20 ranking might even end up being generous.
21. Jaxson Dart
Dart is another guy I'd like to rank higher, but the matchup is holding me back again.
He is taking on the Broncos, who are the second-hardest fantasy test for a QB so far. If he still delivers, he'll be owned in all leagues before week 8 kicks off.
22. Bryce Young
Young has a pretty favorable matchup coming against the Jets, so I'm willing to try him next.
He's coming off a positive fantasy outing, so it should be a bit easier to fire him up in some deeper fantasy setups.
23. Joe Flacco
Flacco had his best fantasy performance in his first game as a Bengal, so I'm willing to try him again here.
He has the Steelers, who are a favorable matchup on paper. Get him in those lineups early if you want to use him, because this is the Thursday game.
24. Spencer Rattler
Rattler has sneakily been a pretty solid fantasy asset throughout the season.
In a very favorable matchup against the Bears in week 7, I'd be OK starting him in some deeper fantasy leagues.
25. Dillon Gabriel
Gabriel hasn't shown a ton in two starts, but the second-most favorable matchup against the Dolphins is screaming to use him.
Maybe he will give us all more confidence to play him with a good fantasy showing in week 7.
26. Michael Penix
Penix was pretty good on Monday night, and now has a slightly below-average matchup coming against the Niners.
I still want to see more from him before ranking him too highly.
27. Tua Tagovailoa
I've been higher on Tagovailoa for several weeks, but off a very low-scoring fantasy outing, I'm bailing on Tagovailoa.
He has a tougher test against the Browns, and I don't see him faring too well.
28. J.J. McCarthy or Carson Wentz
McCarthy is working his way back from injury, but I'd rank him or Wentz at No. 28 regardless of who starts.
They have a pretty average matchup against the Eagles, but I'm not super high on either QB as a fantasy asset right now.
29. Geno Smith
Smith continued to struggle as a fantasy asset in week 6, and now he has to face a Chiefs' team on the rise.
Kansas City is a pretty average matchup right now, but after how they've looked recently, I don't see Smith excelling against them.
30. Cameron Ward
Ward lands in the final spot (with two teams on bye) for week 7.
He has the Patriots, who are another pretty average test. Ward just hasn't shown enough this season to be confident in him, even in average-or-better matchups.
