Practice Squad Demotion Drops Carter Off the Redraft Radar

Michael Carter faces an uphill battle for fantasy relevance after being waived by Tennessee with intentions to sign him to the practice squad. With Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears leading the backfield alongside Nicholas Singleton, Carter currently sits outside the active offensive rotation.

That reserve role matches our season projections, which anticipate just 25 rushing attempts for 100 yards and three receptions. While Carter managed 97 carries and 36 catches with Arizona last season, his reduced opportunity in Tennessee caps any realistic path toward weekly fantasy utility.

Market sentiment reflects this sharp downturn. Carter's ADP in full-PPR formats plummeted from the mid-300s in July to well outside the top 600 by late August, while roster rates cratered under 5%. He is completely off the redraft radar unless major backfield injuries occur.
