Reunited with Robert Saleh in Tennessee, Michael Carter Faces an Uphill Battle for Backfield Touches

Michael Carter joined the Tennessee Titans this offseason, reuniting with head coach Robert Saleh. However, his path to playing time is highly congested. Carter sits fourth on the depth chart behind established options Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, as well as Nicholas Singleton.

Despite his deep depth chart placement, Carter's ADP has seen a noticeable climb. In early June, he was virtually undrafted with an ADP near 450, but he has steadily risen to a stable 357 in PPR formats. This suggests fantasy managers are keeping an eye on him as a deep-league handcuff.

Our projections are highly conservative on Carter, projecting him for just 26 rushing yards on 7 carries this season. Unless multiple injuries strike the Tennessee backfield, Carter remains a fringe fantasy option who is safe to leave on the waiver wire in standard redraft leagues.
