Week 4 Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings: Where are Trey Benson, Omarion Hampton and Cam Skattebo Ranked?
Morgan gives his week 4 fantasy football rankings for running backs.
A new fantasy football week is here, which means it's time to go over my weekly rankings for each offensive position.
We'll start with my week 4 rankings for fantasy running backs. We are looking at things from a PPR perspective.

1. James Cook
Call me crazy, but Cook has been good this season and has one of the better matchups in week 4 against the Saints.
I see him piling up the fantasy points as the Bills ease to victory.
CMC has been stellar in the early going, and I'm still trusting him to get the job done in a tougher test against the Jaguars.
On volume alone, McCaffrey should cruise to a monster fantasy score.
I'm chasing a bit better matchup here with Achane, who faces the Jets in week 4.
Achane has been the best fantasy asset on Miami's offense so far, and I see him putting together a good fantasy showing in a winnable game for the Dolphins.
I anticipate Barkley getting going a bit in week 4 against the Buccaneers.
Barkley has underwhelmed a bit early on, but in an average matchup where the Eagles will want to keep the ball out of the hands of the Bucs' offense, Barkley should be heavily utilized, and I see it leading to a big fantasy day.
Robinson has a tougher test against the Commanders in week 4, but I can only pass on the elite fantasy back for so long.
Robinson has been great in the early going, and I see him getting his on volume alone.
Taylor has the toughest RB matchup, going up against the Rams.
Taylor is RB1 so far, and I expect him to deliver despite the tougher matchup still.
7. Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs has the second-toughest matchup against the Browns, but I cannot pass on him any longer.
The Lions' offense has been stellar over the past two weeks, and I see Gibbs delivering another big fantasy score in week 4.
8. Josh Jacobs
Jacobs will look to get on track in a battle against the Cowboys in week 4.
Jacobs has put up some fantasy points, but been pretty inefficient so far. I see the Packers' running game rolling against the Cowboys, and Jacobs starring in a lopsided win.
Hampton finally got going in week 3, and I see him excelling in week 4 against the Giants.
Hampton has the backfield to himself after the injury to Najee Harris, so on volume alone, the rookie should star the rest of the season.
10. Derrick Henry
Henry has struggled a bit over the past two weeks, and now has an average matchup against the Chiefs upcoming.
I see the Ravens leaning on Henry more in a crucial game for both teams. If he struggles again, it'll be tougher and tougher to justify a high ranking for Henry.
11. Bucky Irving
Irving has a pretty stiff test coming against the Eagles.
I see Irving doing plenty on offense to still deliver a good fantasy score. The only reason why he ranks outside the top 10 is because of the matchup.
12. Kyren Williams
Williams has another semi-stiff test against the Colts in week 4.
He delivered last week against the Eagles, so you should feel pretty safe with starting him in all fantasy leagues again.
13. Breece Hall
Hall has a favorable matchup against the Dolphins in week 4, so I see him excelling.
He ranks more average after a couple down showings in a row.
14. J.K. Dobbins
Things are starting to get muddled, so it's a good time to chase a favorable matchup.
Dobbins has the weak Bengals' defense, who backs have excelled against so far, so why not try him?
15. Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty looked a little better in week 3, and now has a pretty good matchup of the Bears to try and take advantage of.
I see this maybe being Jeanty's best fantasy performance yet.
16. Tony Pollard
Again, I'm after a matchup here. Pollard gets the Texans in week 4.
Pollard has been a solid fantasy option every week so far, and in this pretty solid matchup, I'm bumping him up several spots.
17. Alvin Kamara
Kamara gets the next slot going into a clash with the Bills.
He's a big part of the Saints' offense, and could be a PPR star as the team plays catch up. It's a pretty average matchup for a fantasy back already.
18. Jaylen Warren
Warren has a tougher test against the Vikings in week 4.
Warren is getting enough touches every week to finish as a pretty good fantasy finisher, and I see him doing enough to finish in the top 20 this week.
19. D'Andre Swift
Swift has a similarly tough matchup against the Raiders.
He's shown enough in the first three weeks to expect another average-or-so fantasy outing in week 4.
20. Jordan Mason
Mason has a more average test against the Steelers in Dublin in week 4.
Mason was excellent in his first week as the Vikings' workhorse back, and he could even get more touches this coming week, as this game figures to be much closer.
21. Chase Brown
Brown has struggled mightily in the first three weeks, so much so that I'm ranking him outside the top 20 despite having a pretty good matchup looming against the Broncos.
Maybe this will finally be the week that the Bengals' back gets rolling.
22. Trey Benson
Benson will spend his first week as the Cardinals' lead back going against an average-or-so Seahawks' defense.
Benson has had great efficiency in his touches this season, so many people will have him ranked higher. I'd like to see his workload once before being all-in on the young back.
23. Chuba Hubbard
Hubbard has another average matchup, taking on the Patriots.
He's had three pretty solid fantasy outings so far, but with the Panthers' offense not being the best, it's hard to ever rank him super highly.
24. Kenneth Walker
This might seem low to some, but I just don't trust the Seahawks' backfield right now.
He has the Cardinals, who are a pretty favorable matchup. But that clash will come on Thursday, which seems to hurt running backs more than other fantasy positions.
25. Javonte Williams
Williams gets the tough Packers' defense in week 4.
He could be heavily involved if the Cowboys are without CeeDee Lamb, but I just do not like the matchup, and think it'll take multiple scores for him to really look good in this one.
26. Travis Etienne
Etienne has a tougher test against the Niners in week 4.
Etienne has quietly been a very good fantasy back across the first three weeks, so I'm willing to give him another start despite the tougher test.
27. Quinshon Judkins
Judkins was really good in week 3, and could keep improving as he ramps up.
His week 4 matchup is a tougher one against the Lions. Coming off a good showing against a tougher defense, I'm willing to try Judkins again.
28. Cam Skattebo
Skattebo will likely serve as the team's lead back in the team's game against the Chargers. That's a tough matchup on paper.
With Jaxson Dart also making his first start, I'm not sure how much I want to trust a fantasy back in what could be a lopsided game early and throughout. Skattebo could make this ranking look foolish if he excels as a pass catcher.
29. Nick Chubb
Chubb has one of the most favorable matchups in week 4 against the Titans.
He hasn't done a ton through three weeks, but this matchup is too juicy not to try. We'll see if Houston leans on the veteran a bit more in a must-win game.
30. Isiah Pacheco
I'm giving Pacheco one last chance here. He has the most favorable matchup for a back, getting the Ravens in week 4.
Pacheco has been outperformed by Kareem Hunt so far, but continues to play more snaps. I think Pacheco finally breaks out this week, but I cannot rank him any higher after what he's delivered to this point of the season.
