Week 17 Fantasy Football Streamers: Brock Purdy, Isaiah Hodgins, Tyler Conklin & More!
Championship Week is here and injuries continue to ravage our lineups heading into the fantasy football playoffs. Many of us will be looking to the waiver wire again this week to find streamer options that we can plug in and get some points during this most important week of the year.

Week 17 Quarterback Streaming Options
Mac Jones, New England Patriots
Is Mac Jones a subpar NFL quarterback? Of course. However, the Miami Dolphins offer no resistance against the pass and have been getting progressively worse as the injuries pile up and the season wears on. They have allowed the second-most fantasy points to QBs this season and they have shown nothing over the past month to lead you to believe they won’t allow Jones to do whatever he wants against them. If you are looking for a defense to target this is the one. Even if the quarterback going up against them is named McCorkle.
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo went down with an injury per usual and Purdy stepped in and has essentially been Jimmy G. This offense hasn’t skipped a beat with Purdy under center. He hasn’t been great but he’s been solid. In every game he’s played he’s thrown two TD passes and in those four games, he’s only been picked off twice. Don’t expect him to light the world on fire, but he also isn’t going to kill you. Sometimes that’s what you need out of a streaming option at quarterback. You can do far worse than Purdy and he has a nice matchup against the Raiders who are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
Week 17 Running Back Streaming Options
Zonovan Knight, New York Jets
There is a really good chance that someone in your league has raged dropped Knight after his two back-to-back completely useless playoff performances. He has been horrendous the past two weeks and it has cost fantasy owners dearly. However, those two games were started by the woefully inept Zach Wilson. You won’t have to worry about him this week as head coach Robert Saleh has cast the useless quarterback onto the inactive list where he belongs. This week, Mike White will be back at quarterback and we have watched Knight thrive when he is the quarterback. He should do the same this week against the Seattle Seahawks who are allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs this season.
Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons
There is a good chance Allgeier has been scooped up in your league after the past two weeks, but with fewer and fewer active players there is a chance he’s still sitting out there. He followed up his Week 15 139 yards and TD performance with a game in which he piled up 117 yards from scrimmage and caught four passes. He is the clear running back to own in Atlanta and is performing well against tough matchups. This week is not a tough matchup and he should take full advantage of a bad Cardinals defense. They are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs this season. If he is available you need to get him in your lineup.
Week 17 Wide Receiver Streaming Options
Jakobi Meyers, New England Patriots
With Jones, you get his top wideout coming off an 83-yard performance and a TD against the Bengals’ tough defense. As we mentioned earlier the Dolphins appear to be incapable of stopping anybody through the air. He’s another guy who probably won’t kill you, especially in PPR leagues. The targets are going to be there and the matchup gives him upside. Over his past seven games, he has seen 47 targets. Look for him to get his usual six or seven targets in this game again. He’ll probably catch about five passes for 60 yards and hopefully finds the end zone.

Isaiah Hodgins, New York Giants
Hodgins has been quietly playing very well and coming off the best game of his career. Over the past four weeks, he’s caught a TD in all but one game. Last week he saw a ridiculous 11 targets and turned them into eight receptions for 89 yards and a TD. Daniel Jones seems to love this kid and he’s taking full advantage of his opportunity. This could be a player we look back on after the season as a league winner.
Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints
If you want to swing for the fences this is your guy. The matchup is tough against the Eagles, but it only takes one play for this guy to have a major impact. He has TDs of 44,53, and 68 yards this season. Lately, he is finally seeing more touches to give him a safer floor. He’s now had at least four opportunities in four straight games with five opportunities in two of them. Before the past four weeks, he hadn’t seen four opportunities all year. They find ways to get him the ball on the ground and through the air, and he does the rest with his playmaking ability.
Week 17 Tight End Streaming Options
Jonnu Smith, New England Patriots
As bad as the Dolphins have been against quarterbacks and receivers they are just as terrible against tight ends. Hunter Henry is out with a knee injury and that will open up the door for Smith to see more targets. This season the Dolphins have allowed the third-most fantasy points to tight ends so there is a real chance you catch lightning in a bottle with Smith if you stream him this week.
Tyler Conklin, New York Jets
Just about every week we try to target the Cardinals or Seahawks at tight end in this article. Conklin makes the list because of his ability to be MyCole Pruitt. He’s facing the Cardinals, but we can’t in good conscience suggest you start him in your championship game. So, Conklin, it is. As we mentioned before he won’t have to suffer through a game with Wilson and we can bump him into the streamers with White at the helm. No team has allowed more fantasy points to tight ends this year than the Seahawks. He should be a solid option.
