Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Targets: 4 Hitters on the Rise
Several hitters are heating up and could help fantasy managers down the stretch.

Kaelen Culpepper - Minnesota Twins
Culpepper is sitting at 13.46% owned right now, and that will rise after a four-hit game on Monday.
All four of his hits were singles. Culpepper had an RBI and run scored as well.
He now has six hits over his past three games played, with a homer, RBI and run scored tacked on in that stretch. Culpepper has not struck out over that span.
Culpepper got called up to the big leagues earlier this month. In 14 games and across 55 plate appearances, Culpepper has a .340 average and .382 on-base percentage, so he'd been fairing pretty well even before the past three games.
He has two home runs and a double among his 17 total hits. Culpepper also has four RBIs, six runs scored, two walks and 13 strikeouts.
The shortstop has mostly just delivered singles while hitting, but he has a good enough average and OBP to add and utilize in some more fantasy leagues today. He's a better deep-league fantasy asset, and only worth standard league spots if he starts producing a bit more, whether that be in the form of extra-base hits, RBIs or runs scored.
Lawrence Butler and Henry Bolte - Athletics
Butler is rostered in 50.49% of fantasy leagues right now - he was at 27.85% back on August 16, so it's been a steady climb up for him. Bolte is owned in 19.9% of leagues, which is up from 10.14% back on August 16.
Butler had struggled most of the season, but found himself on August 10. In 14 games since, Butler owns a .353 average and .441 OBP over 59 plate appearances. He has four homers, two doubles and 18 total hits in that stretch, plus 10 RBIs, seven runs scored, eight walks and 15 strikeouts.
Across 124 games and 410 plate appearances this season, Butler has a .223 average and .318 OBP, which are more in line with his career marks than before this hot stretch. He has 15 doubles, 11 homers and a triple among his 80 total knocks, plus 40 RBIs, 50 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 49 walks and 104 strikeouts.
The outfielder has underwhelmed as a fantasy hitter most of the season, but he's definitely worth more ownership/utilization after his hot stretch. He's worth spots in most deeper leagues, and could be utilized in some standard leagues too. Don't be afraid to scoop him up if you need some outfield help.
Bolte has a pair of three hit games in a row. He has a double among the hits, plus a walk, four runs scored and two strikeouts.
He's logged 337 plate appearances over 89 games in the 2026 season, his first big league action. Bolte now has a .276 average and .352 OBP, plus 26 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 25 walks and 91 strikeouts. Among his 82 total hits, Bolte has 11 doubles and six home runs.
The center fielder has decent season-long numbers, but has been a bit too inconsistent at the plate. Bolte appears to be figuring things out a bit, so he's worth more fantasy love down the stretch.
He's another guy who is just a deep-league fantasy asset, but if he keeps rolling at the plate, or starts adding in more extra-base hits, RBIs or runs scored, he could be streamed in some standard leagues too.
Ezequiel Duran - Texas Rangers
Duran is sitting at 73.08% rostered at the moment. He had dipped to 67.92% four days ago, but is back on the rise again.
Duran has three hits over his past two contests and nine knocks over the past five games. He has two doubles, a triple and a home run among the nine hits, plus three RBIs and runs scored, a stolen base and three strikeouts and walks.
Over 123 games and 472 plate appearances, Duran now sits with a .272 average and .329 OBP. He's also got 67 RBIs, 58 runs scored, 10 stolen bases, 35 walks and 113 strikeouts. Duran has 25 doubles, 14 home runs and four triples among his 116 total hits.
He should be eligible at several different spots, so he's a better fantasy asset than he looks at first glance. Duran has been a bit inconsistent at the plate, and that's led to him not being owned in all fantasy leagues as a result.
Right now, he needs to be owned/utilized in all deeper leagues for sure. He's a very good standard league fantasy option as well, so scoop him up and ride his hot bat as long as you can.
