Ezequiel Duran and Joc Pederson - Texas Rangers

Duran has been added in 3.52% of fantasy baseball leagues already today - that brings his overall mark to 53.74%. Pederson is owned in 11.79% of leagues after being at 5.91% back on July 18.

Duran will take a seven-game hitting streak into Tuesday. He has 10 hits over that span, and among those hits, three were doubles, two were home runs and one was a triple. He has six RBIs and runs scored in that span as well.

Across 97 games and 365 plate appearances on the season, Duran has a .273 average and .324 on-base percentage. He has 19 doubles, 12 homers and three triples among his 91 total hits, plus 56 RBIs, 47 runs scored, 26 walks and 85 strikeouts. Duran has stolen seven bases.

Duran has played at seven positions this season, so it's a good idea to see where he's eligible in your fantasy league. The more spots he's available at, the more valuable he is for fantasy.

Duran is a better deep-league fantasy asset in the grand scheme of things, but in hot stretches at the plate, like now, he can be utilized in some standard leagues too. Just treat him as a short-term option and be watching his numbers closely.

Pederson is a guy who was identified in the weekly projections article heading into the new week. He opened the week with a big game, driving in four runs on a pair of home runs.

Pederson has 13 hits over an eight-game hitting streak. He has four doubles and four home runs in that span, plus eight RBIs, nine runs scored and a stolen base.

He's posted a .254 average and .343 OBP over his 95 games played and 322 plate appearances this season. Pederson has 19 home runs, 11 doubles and two triples among his 71 total hits, plus 40 RBIs, 44 runs scored, 36 walks and 71 strikeouts. He has stolen two bases.

He's played first base and right field a bit this season, but is the Rangers' primary designated hitter. Pederson's fantasy value is limited if he's eligible just as a DH, but he's worth looking into still as his bat is hot.

I like adding him in some more deeper leagues right now. I don't see him getting into standard leagues, but he's been there before, so don't write him off completely. Utilize Pederson in deeper leagues until he cools off a bit.

Heriberto Hernandez - Miami Marlins

Hernandez sits at 18.42% rostered right now. He was at 13.78% four days ago.

He had a homer among two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored in Monday's action. Hernandez has 11 hits over his past eight games, along with three doubles, two homers, five RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base.

Hernandez owns a .245 average and .314 OBP over 77 games and 271 plate appearances on the season. He has 15 homers, 12 doubles and a triple among his 60 hits. Hernandez also has 41 RBIs, 28 runs scored, 24 walks, seven stolen bases and 70 strikeouts.

The outfielder has been a waiver wire option a couple times this season, but not consistent enough to hold in any leagues permanently. He's worth adding and utilizing in a few more deeper leagues today, but he'd need a couple big weeks in a row to sniff standard league inclusion.

Hao-Yu Lee - Detroit Tigers

Lee has risen 5.73%, which brings his overall mark to 8.81%.

Lee carries a 12-game hitting streak going into Tuesday. He has 15 hits, including four doubles and two homers, in that stretch, plus 10 RBIs, six runs scored and two walks.

He's posted a .275 average and .307 OBP over 65 games and 193 plate appearances this season. Lee has 10 doubles, six homers and a triple among his 50 total hits, plus 25 RBIs, 17 runs scored, nine walks, a stolen base and 47 strikeouts.

Lee has played enough at second base and third base to be eligible at both spots - he's played one game at shortstop, so maybe he earns eligibility there down the line. Anyways, he's hitting well enough to add and utilize in more deeper fantasy leagues today. He's just 65 games into his MLB career, so he's one to keep tabs on in all leagues in case he keeps delivering big.
