4 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters Worth Adding Monday

Christian Encarnacion-Strand - Baltimore Orioles
Encarnacion-Strand is up 7.88% already today, and he's now rostered in 18.5% of fantasy baseball leagues overall.
He just got called up to the big leagues after being traded from Cincinnati to Baltimore for cash considerations back on April 13 of this year.
In seven games with Baltimore, he owns a .370 average and .414 on-base percentage. He has 10 hits, including three home runs and a double, across his 27 at-bats and 30 plate appearances. CES has walked twice, drove in nine, scored three times and struck out on six occasions.
He is playing third base exclusively for Baltimore, but might have first base eligibility from his time with the Reds in the past. If he is eligible at both corner infield spots, the higher his fantasy value is.
He's just a deep-league fantasy asset for now, but if he keeps hitting, he could sneak his way into some standard leagues down the line. Encarnacion-Strand is a guy to keep tabs on in most leagues, but is addable in deep, deep leagues, especially if you need some corner infield help.
Gabriel Moreno - Arizona Diamondbacks
Moreno has risen 4.64% today, which brings his overall mark to 77.53%.
Moreno has been great in the month of July, and his season-long numbers now look spectacular. He has 31 hits across 21 games and 93 plate appearances this month, which is a .397 average and .462 OBP.
He has a .315 average and .396 OBP for the season, which spans 79 games and 321 plate appearances now. Moreno has 18 doubles and seven home runs among his 86 total knocks. The catcher has 41 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 38 walks and just 47 strikeouts - he's also stolen four bases.
He might lack the pop/power some catchers do, but the high average/OBP and limited strikeout numbers make Moreno a really good fantasy asset. He's worth adding and utilizing in more leagues, as I think he is underowned right now.
He definitely needs to be utilized in all deeper leagues, and he should be closer to 100%, so in all standard leagues too. Even if you have a good fantasy catcher, Moreno could still be worth adding as an additional option there, or simply starting him as a utility option, or designated hitter - if he's eligible there.
Luis Rengifo and Ty France - San Diego Padres
Rengifo sits at 4.85% overall after a 2.2% increase today. France sits at 48.46% overall - he was at 2.23% on July 19, so it's been a quick and steady rise for France.
Rengifo has found new life since joining the Padres. In 57 games and over 209 plate appearances with the Brewers earlier this season, Rengifo had a .205 average and .280 OBP, along with 19 RBIs, runs scored and walks, three stolen bases and 24 strikeouts. He had nine doubles, but no triples or home runs, among his 38 total hits.
In nine games and over 33 plate appearances with San Diego, Rengifo has a .433 average and .485 OBP - that's not sustainable, but he appears to be back on track finally. He has two homers and a double among his 13 total hits, plus seven RBIs and runs scored, three walks, a stolen base and six strikeouts.
Rengifo has played left field, second base and third base for San Diego, so the more spots he's eligible at, the better. Him playing all over gives him a chance to stick in the lineup, which is even more important.
He won't keep hitting this well for super long, so add and utilize him while he's delivering big in deeper fantasy leagues. Rengifo has been a fantasy asset in the past, so he could eventually work into standard leagues if he keeps producing enough, so don't write him off in those leagues.
France's monster month of July has kept rolling of late, with three multi-hit games over his past four contests. He has 22 hits, 16 RBIs, 10 runs scored, six homers, five doubles and two walks over his past 14 games, so that explains why he's been added in so many leagues of late.
He's up to a .286 average and .338 OBP over 80 games and 273 plate appearances on the season. France has 13 doubles, 16 home runs and two triples among his 71 total knocks, plus 46 RBIs, 31 runs scored, 13 walks and 64 strikeouts - he has one stolen base too.
France has primarily played first base, but has a couple appearances at third base, plus some DH appearances too. He's getting in the lineup plenty right now, and importantly, delivering big at the plate.
He is worth spots in most deeper fantasy leagues at this point, and could even be streamed in standard leagues for a bit. Utilize him while you can, but be ready to move off him if he starts to fade off a bit.
