Successful fantasy teams are often defined by their top few picks panning out, so those who took Cal Raleigh in the first or second round are definitely feeling the hurt. He was always likely to regress after setting career highs in everything last season, but Raleigh has fallen off HARD, batting .165 with just seven doubles and 10 home runs.

That precipitous drop hurts both fantasy teams and the Mariners, who just dropped three out of four to the Rangers and now trail Texas by 2.5 games in the AL West. Also sitting a few games out of a Wild Card spot, Seattle is in danger of missing the playoffs altogether after barely falling short of the World Series last year, and the offense is a major reason why.

Let's look at four starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Cade Cavalli, Washington Nationals vs. Toronto Blue Jays

Cavalli is owned in around 50% of leagues, so his qualifications as a streamer are tenuous, but he has enough availability to make it worth checking with such a good matchup. After looking fairly average in 48 2/3 innings last season, Cavalli has had a bit of a breakout this year, holding a 3.58 ERA, better-than-average walk rate, and well-above-average strikeout rate. He has given up nine unearned runs, but Cavalli has also allowed just nine home runs in 110 2/3 innings, a fantastic rate of one every 12.3 innings. He is coming off six shutout innings at Coors Field in which he struck out eight and allowed just six baserunners.

Toronto was one of the worst offensive teams over the past month, ranking in the bottom five in essentially every box stat and falling to the bottom of the AL East. They have shown a severe lack of power all season, and though they don't strike out, the Blue Jays also draw very few walks and sit near the bottom in runs scored. Toronto is one of the few teams that seems guaranteed to sell at the trade deadline given their struggles.

Cavalli is a mid-to-high-level streamer. He has been good, and his strikeout work this season raises his fantasy value, leaving him as a strong option. Cavalli should be in a lineup in every league today.

Bubba Chandler, Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Arizona has been much better recently after starting the season slowly on offense. They are a better offensive team at home, where they play in one of the better hitter's parks in baseball. When looking only at games that a team has played on the road, the Diamondbacks rate out as a below-average offense and probably qualify as a bottom-10 group. They are another team that doesn't strike out much, but Arizona also doesn't hit many home runs, leaving the offense lacking at times.

A former third-round pick out of high school, Chandler showed some high-level stuff in the minors before debuting in the big leagues last season. Now officially in his rookie year, Chandler has done well limiting hits and home runs but has also shown real control issues, walking 12.7% of the batters he has faced (versus league average around 8-9%). That has led to too many runs, and Chandler's strikeout work has also fallen slightly below average, lowering his fantasy value. There's more upside, but Chandler might be more likely to find it in future seasons.

Chandler is a low-to-mid-level streamer. I love his upside, but he needs to find his control a little more to lower his walks and increase his strikeouts. The matchup is closer to good than great, but there's enough here to consider Chandler.

Dean Kremer, Baltimore Orioles @ Detroit Tigers

Kremer missed more than two months on the IL with a strained quad, returning on July 1. He has been a little uneven in his short time, doing good work with walks and strikeouts but getting hit too hard. Most concerningly, Kremer has given up 10 home runs in 32 innings, about twice as often as in his career (which is around league average). Kremer has found success at times in his career while rarely being much better than average.

I wrote yesterday about how the next week will define the Tigers over the final two months. If they hold even or can gain a little ground, Detroit is likely to keep everyone or maybe even add a piece or two at the trade deadline. If they go on a losing streak, though, then the Tigers are likely to sell, including sending out Tarik Skubal before he hits free agency this offseason. Detroit's offense ranks in the bottom 10 over the full season, and though they have been closer to middling the past month, it hasn't been enough to make them look like real contenders.

Kremer is a low-to-mid-level streamer. His good strikeout work combined with Detroit K'ing at a top-10 rate gives him a decent ceiling, but Kremer hasn't been great overall, leaving plenty of risk in this one.

Brady Singer, Cincinnati Reds vs. Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland might be our favorite target right now, ranking in (or very close to) the bottom five in runs, hits, home runs, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS. They have continued struggling over the past month, looking a little better but still topping out in the middle in any area (and looking worse in many of those stats). They are still in the thick of things at the top of the AL Central, but the Guardians' offense doesn't scare anyone right now.

Singer has been at his best in June and July, combining for 52 1/3 innings, 41 hits, 17 earned runs, 16 walks, and 52 strikeouts in that time. His season-long numbers aren't as rosy, but Singer has put up numbers more in line with his career bests over this recent stretch. He struggled against this Cleveland team on May 17 (seven hits and five runs in four innings), but that was before Singer started pitching his best, so it's reasonable to expect something better in this one.

Singer is a mid-level streamer. The matchup is heavily in his favor, and Singer has been at his best lately, including just nine runs allowed in 26 innings this month. It's a worthy gamble.
