Most people have seen the video of Seattle's Victor Robles getting hit with a pitch and throwing his bat at the pitcher in a minor league game. He was suspended 10 games, which frankly, doesn't seem like enough. I mean, this is behavior that CANNOT happen, and 10 games is nothing. I thought a rest-of-season ban was warranted.

He also swung at the pitch, so who is to blame most here? Reports say he was upset with being hit multiple times, but if you can't handle it, don't even grab a bat and step up to the plate. I bet the clubhouse attendant could use help filling coolers if that's the best attitude you can put together while playing.

Let's shift to fantasy baseball and look at five starting pitchers in action on Wednesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups. Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

J.T. Ginn, Athletics @ Minnesota Twins

Ginn is a little better than average with both walks and strikeouts in his short career (89 1/3 innings in his career, 55 1/3 this season). He has been susceptible to the home run, but a big part of that is playing half his games in Sacramento at the A's current home park (which has been one of the most hitter-friendly in baseball). Consider his splits: on the road, Ginn has a 3.29 ERA with 21 hits and four homers allowed in 27.1 innings. At home, he has a 6.75 ERA with 34 hits and nine homers allowed in 28 innings. This one is in Minnesota, giving Ginn a better outlook.

Small samples make it hard to know what's real, as a string of good/bad matchups or just a random hot/cold streak can skew numbers. We want to know immediately how teams are doing after big additions or subtractions at the trade deadline, though, and the Twins are mostly where we thought they would be, ranking in the bottom 10 (or very close to it) in runs, hits, doubles, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS over the past two weeks.

Ginn is a mid-level streamer. The matchup is good but not great, but Ginn has found success, particularly on the road, and has done good strikeout work.

Cam Schlittler, New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays

Schlittler was listed here before his most recent start against the Twins last Wednesday. He had a good game, striking out six in five innings with just two hits, one run, and two walks allowed. Schlittler has generally topped out at five innings in his rookie season, holding an above-average strikeout rate while walking too many batters, but he has been able to find success in those outings.

Tampa Bay is in the midst of a swoon, both losing games (11-17 since the All-Star break) and falling short offensively. In that same two-week time span mentioned with the Twins, Tampa is in the bottom 10 in essentially every offensive box stat, only up to average with home runs. This has been a months-long problem for the Rays, making them a juicy target for opposing pitchers.

Schlittler is a mid-level streamer. A shorter start is likely again, but Schlittler is making the most of his innings, and the matchup is a good one.

JP Sears, San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants

Sears came over from the A's at the trade deadline. His one start for the Padres (against Arizona) didn't go well: five innings, 10 hits, five runs, one walk, and four strikeouts. Over his career, Sears is good with walks but a little below average with strikeouts, a common type here on our streaming list and a player good enough to consider in the right circumstances.

San Francisco presents one of those circumstances, as they have been a bottom-10 offensive team for most of the season and a common target here on our streaming list. They don't hit for power or average; the only thing the Giants really do well is draw walks, where they are in the top 10. San Fran has a good pitching staff, but they are being dragged down by the offense.

Sears is a low-to-mid-level streamer. The matchup puts him here, but he has generally been a little worse than average both overall and with his K work.

Hurston Waldrep, Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago White Sox

Martin Perez, Chicago White Sox @ Atlanta Braves

We'll finish the day with two bottom-10 offenses, one group that was expected to be down here and another that is one of the biggest disappointments of the season. There's not a lot to say about the White Sox; it's a multi-year run of disappointment that probably needs a few more seasons to really get better. Atlanta will look to regroup next season after dealing with injuries and bad luck this year, as they still have plenty of talent and the ability to bounce back.

Waldrep, a first-round pick in 2023, has just 24 2/3 big-league innings to his name. There is certainly big hope for him to find something of an ace level, though that's not fair to expect right now. His work this year has been really good, as Waldrep has struck out 17 batters in 17 2/3 innings with just five walks, nine hits, and two runs allowed. He was good with strikeouts in the minors, so there's hope he can keep up that level of play.

Perez has missed most of the season with injury, making four starts in March/April and then missing four months before returning last Wednesday. In his career, Perez is average with walks but has been a below-average strikeout pitcher. He gets hit a little hard, but Perez has been able to find enough success to hang around for 14 seasons. It's tough to expect much right now given the big layoff.

Waldrep is a mid-level streamer and Perez a low-level streamer. Waldrep has the better matchup and the livelier arm, while Perez is just eating innings for one of the worst teams in baseball as they meander toward the end of the season.

Wednesday's Streamer Rankings

  1. Hurston Waldrep, ATL
  2. J.T. Ginn, ATH
  3. Cam Schlittler, NYY
  4. JP Sears, SD
  5. Martin Perez, CWS
