Update on Rays Prospects: Carson Williams, Xavier Isaac and More
Taking a look at some Rays' prospects as July begins to wind down.
Let's continue our series looking at MLB organization's prospects by looking over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Top Performing Hitters
Tristan Peters has 92 hits so far this season. He's not a top-30 prospect of the team.
Peters is 25 years old and has played 93 games at Triple-A this season. Among his hits, Peters has 22 doubles, nine homers and three triples, along with 54 runs scored, 52 RBIs, 45 walks, 10 stolen bases and 63 strikeouts.
Homer Bush Jr. has 89 hits this year. He's the team's No. 15 prospect. Bush is 23 years old, plays in Double-A and has a 2026 ETA.
Bush has a .283 average and .361 on-base percentage this season. He has logged 10 doubles and four triples among his hits, along with 46 runs scored, 22 RBIs, 29 walks, 33 stolen bases and 69 strikeouts.
Angel Mateo, Adrian Santana and Emilien Pitre all have 85 hits. Santana is the team's No. 17 prospect, while Pitre is No. 22 and Mateo isn't ranked.
Mateo is a 20-year-old playing in Single-A for now. He's got 12 doubles, six home runs and a triple among his hits, along with 58 RBIs, 42 runs scored, 23 walks, 14 stolen bases and 61 strikeouts.
Santana is 20 years old and playing in High-A - he has a 2027 ETA. He's got a .265 average and .326 OBP across 78 games this season. Santana has 13 doubles and two triples and homers among his hits, along with 57 runs scored, 39 RBIs, 42 stolen bases, 32 walks and 44 strikeouts.
Pitre is a 22-year-old playing in High-A - he has a 2027 ETA as well. Along with a .266 average and .335 OBP this season, Pitre has 49 RBIs, 40 runs scored, 32 walks, eight stolen bases and 80 strikeouts. He has 16 doubles, seven home runs and two triples among his hits.
Top Performing Pitchers
Jose Urbina has a 1.73 earned run average across 14 starts and 73 innings this season. He's the team's No. 28 prospect. The 19-year-old is in Single-A and has a 2027 ETA.
Urbina is 6-1 so far, and has a .183 average against him. He's struck out 75 batters and walked 22.
Joe Boyle has a 1.85 ERA over 15 appearances and 73 innings. He's not ranked among the team's top-30 prospects after pitching in the big leagues in the past - he's in the big leagues now as well.
He has a 6-4 record, while pitching at Triple-A. Boyle struck out 96 batters, while walking 31.
T.J. Nichols has struck out 107 batters so far this season. He's the 20th-ranked prospect for Tampa Bay. Nichols is 23 years old, pitches in High-A and has a 2026 ETA.
Nichols is 9-3 with a 3.57 ERA over 85 2/3 innings. He has a .202 average against him, and he's walked 21 batters.
Brody Hopkins has 99 punchouts on the year. He's the team's No. 6 prospect. The 23-year-old is working in Double-A and has a 2026 ETA.
Hopkins is 4-6 and has a 3.32 ERA over 81 1/3 innings. He's got a .217 average against him, and has walked 44 batters.
Duncan Davitt has 89 strikeouts so far. He's also not among the team's top-30 prospects.
The 25-year-old has pitched at Double-A and Triple-A this season. He is 5-4 with a 4.16 ERA over 93 innings, and has walked 17 batters.
Top-Ranked Prospects
Carson Williams is the team's No. 1 prospect and is ranked No. 29 overall. He's 22 years old, plays in Triple-A and is expected to debut later this season.
Williams has just a .220 average, but a .326 OBP over 86 games this season. He has 67 total hits, including 17 home runs, 12 doubles and four triples. Williams also has posted 59 runs scored, 47 RBIs, 44 walks, 18 stolen bases and a whopping 121 strikeouts.
Theo Gillen is the No. 64 prospect in baseball and is the team's No. 2 prospect. The 19-year-old is in Single-A and has a 2028 ETA.
Gillen has a .268 average and .427 OBP over 59 games this season. He has 55 total hits, including five home runs, eight doubles and one triple. Gillen has 54 runs scored, 16 RBIs, 54 walks, 30 stolen bases and 64 strikeouts.
Xavier Isaac is the third-ranked prospect for Tampa Bay - he's the No. 68 overall prospect. He's 21 years old, plays in Double-A and has a 2026 ETA.
Isaac is hitting .201 and getting on base at a .366 clip. He has 28 hits over 41 games. Isaac has nine homers, five doubles and a triple among his hits, along with 22 RBIs, 21 runs scored, 34 walks, 52 strikeouts and one stolen base.
