Phillies Prospects Check-In: Justin Crawford, Andrew Painter and More

We looked at prospects for the Tigers, Dodgers, Astros and Cubs already, and now will go over the prospects for the Philadelphia Phillies. We'll focus on players age 25 or below.

Top Performing Hitters
Justin Crawford has the most hits, collecting 95 for the season.
Crawford is ranked 49th overall on the MLB's top-100 prospects. The 21-year-old is expected to debut in 2026, but he might force his way to the big leagues with how he's performing.
He has a .343 average and .416 on-base percentage over 68 Triple-A games this season. Crawford has 18 doubles, three triples and two home runs among his hits, along with 29 RBIs, 54 runs scored, 36 walks, 26 stolen bases and 55 strikeouts.
Keaton Anthony has 81 hits this season.
Anthony isn't ranked in the team's top-30 prospects right now. He has 26 doubles, four homers and a triple among his hits, along with 29 runs scored, 33 RBIs, 19 walks and 50 strikeouts.
Aroon Escobar has 77 knocks, while Dante Nori has 76 hits.
Escobar is ranked 97th overall. The 20-year-old has a 2028 ETA and is in Single-A right now. Escobar has 12 doubles and 11 homers among his hits this season, along with 42 RBIs, 69 runs scored, 32 walks, 10 stolen bases and 51 strikeouts.
Nori is the team's eighth-ranked prospect. The 20-year-old is also at Single-A, and he too has a 2028 ETA. Nori has 13 doubles, four triples and a homer among his 76 total knocks, along with 28 RBIs, 33 runs scored, 41 walks, 19 stolen bases and 55 strikeouts.
Carson DeMartini has 74 total hits.
DeMartini is ranked 15th among the team's prospects. He has a 2027 ETA and plays in Double-A as a 22-year-old. DeMartini has 14 doubles, nine homers and two triples among his hits, along with 37 RBIs, 48 runs scored, 44 walks, 27 stolen bases and 88 strikeouts.
Top Performing Pitchers
Among all qualified pitchers, Deiry Gonzalez has the best earned run average at 1.71.
He's not ranked among the team's top-30 prospects and pitches at the team's complex as a 17-year-old. Gonzalez has allowed five runs (four earned) over 21 innings, while posting 19 strikeouts along the way.
Among Philly pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched, Jose Pena Jr. leads the way with his 0.66 ERA.
Pena isn't a top-30 prospect for the Phillies either. He's 4-1, has five saves and has 26 punchouts over 27 1/3 innings this season. Pena has pitched at Single-A and High-A so far.
Bumping things to at least 30 innings pitched, Mick Abel leads the way with his 2.21 ERA.
He's ranked 87th overall and of course, has already made his MLB debut. Abel is in Triple-A right now though.
Abel has a 2-2 record and 5.04 ERA over six starts and 25 big league innings. At Triple-A, Abel is 6-2 with a 2.21 ERA over 57 innings, so he's clearly passed the competition level there.
Jean Cabrera has 79 strikeouts this season, while sporting a 3.61 ERA.
Cabrera is the team's No. 12 prospect and has a 2025 ETA despite still being in Double-A. Cabrera is 3-4 across 16 starts and 84 2/3 innings so far. He has a .203 average against him, along with 41 walks allowed.
Estibenzon Jimenez has 68 punchouts, but a 5.04 ERA.
He's not ranked among the team's top-30 prospects. The 23-year-old has worked 69 2/3 innings at High-A and Double-A this season. Jimenez has walked 22 batters as well.
Top-Ranked Prospects
Andrew Painter is the team's top prospect and is ranked 10th overall.
Painter is 22 years old and pitches in Triple-A now. He has a 2025 ETA after being the No. 13 pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
Painter has a 3-4 record and 4.45 ERA over 56 2/3 innings across two minor league levels this season. He has 64 strikeouts, 20 walks and a .255 average against him.
Aidan Miller is the second-ranked Philly prospect and is No. 22 overall.
The 21-year-old plays at Double-A and has a 2026 ETA after being the No. 27 pick in 2023. He has a .238 average and .353 OBP over 64 games this season.
Miller has 57 total hits, including nine doubles, seven homers and two triples. He also has posted 21 RBIs, 32 runs scored, 40 walks, 73 strikeouts and 31 stolen bases.
Eduardo Tait is ranked 63rd overall.
Tai is playing at Single-A as an 18-year-old and has a 2028 ETA. He signed with the team in 2023.
Tait has a .257 average and .334 OBP over 70 games this season. Tait has 70 total hits, including 18 doubles, a triple and 11 homers, while also having 46 RBIs, 40 runs scored, 30 walks, 59 strikeouts and no stolen bases.
