Update on Giants Prospects: Dakota Jordan, Bryce Eldridge and More

Taking a look at some Giants' prospects at the MLB All-Star break.

Let's continue looking at MLB team's prospects by checking out the San Francisco Giants organization.

We have looked at prospects for the Tigers, Dodgers, Astros, Cubs, Phillies, Blue Jays, Mets, Brewers, Yankees, Padres and Red Sox so far. We'll focus on players age 25 or below.

Top Performing Hitters

Dakota Jordan already has 102 hits on the season. He's the team's No. 5 prospect.

Jordan is 22 years old, plays in Single-A and has a 2027 ETA after being drafted in 2024. He's got a .302 average and .373 on-base percentage across 80 games this season. Jordan has 15 doubles, six triples and 10 home runs among his hits, along with 70 RBIs, 62 runs scored, 36 walks, 27 walks and 88 strikeouts.

Grant McCray has logged 99 hits so far, while Scott Bandura has 98 knocks. Neither are ranked among the team's top-30 prospects.

McCray is 24 years old and plays in Triple-A. He's got 13 home runs, 16 doubles and five triples among his hits, along with 61 runs scored, 59 RBIs, 45 walks, 26 stolen bases and 115 strikeouts this season.

Bandura is a 23-year-old playing in High-A for now. He has 15 doubles, seven homers and three triples among his hits, while also posting 65 runs scored, 45 RBIs, 44 walks, 30 stolen bases and 90 strikeouts.

Lisbel Diaz has totaled 89 hits so far. He's the team's No. 25 prospect. The 19-year-old is at Single-A and has a 2027 ETA. 

Diaz has a .256 average and .301 OBP this season. He has 19 doubles, six homers and three triples among his hits. Diaz also has 46 RBIs, 47 runs scored, 18 walks, 15 stolen bases and 77 strikeouts.

Carlos Gutierrez and Bo Davidson have 87 hits each. Davidson is the team's eighth-ranked prospect, while Gutierrez isn't ranked among the top 30.

Gutierrez is 20 years old and plays in Single-A. He has 11 doubles, four triples and two homers among his knocks, along with 60 runs scored, 30 RBIs, 37 walks, 26 stolen bases and 40 strikeouts.

Davidson is 23 years old, plays in Double-A and has a 2027 ETA. In 53 games at High-A this season, he posted a .309 average and .412 OBP, along with 56 RBIs, 53 runs scored, 49 walks, 12 stolen bases and 74 strikeouts. Davidson had 14 doubles, six triples and 10 home runs among his hits.

Top Performing Pitchers

Among pitchers with at least 30 innings, Darien Smith has the lowest earned run average at 1.66. He isn't a top-30 prospect of the Giants.

He is 25 years old and has been at Single-A all season. Across 11 appearances and one start, Smith has covered 38 innings. He has 35 strikeouts and 13 walks along the way.

Marques Johnson has a 1.75 ERA this season, while Cade Vernon has a 1.85 ERA. Neither are ranked among the team's top-30 prospects.

Johnson is 24 years old and has pitched at High-A and Double-A this season. Across 36 innings, Johnson has 45 strikeouts and 18 walks.

Vernon is 23 years old and has worked in Single-A all season. He has 29 strikeouts and 10 walks over his 39 innings.

Trevor McDonald has 89 strikeouts over 88 2/3 innings pitched. He's ranked ninth among the team's prospects. McDonald made a brief MLB debut in 2024, but has been in Triple-A all season.

The 24-year-old has a 6-5 record and 5.48 ERA this season. He's walked 37 batters and has a .259 average against him.

Greg Farone has 86 punchouts over just 63 innings. He also isn't a top-30 prospect of the team.

He has a 2-3 record and 4.86 ERA at Single-A and High-A this season. Farone has walked 29 batters as well.

Top-Ranked Prospects

Bryce Eldridge is the lone Giant ranked in the top-100 prospects. He's the team's No. 1 prospect and checks in at No. 19 overall. Eldridge is 20 years old, and has made it up to Triple-A already - he's hurt now and working his way back to the field. 

Eldridge, who is expected to make his MLB debut later this season, has a career .285 average and .367 OBP across 199 minor league games. Eldridge has 39 homers, 43 doubles and two triples among his 213 total hits over his career, along with 144 RBIs, 111 runs scored, 98 walks, 226 strikeouts and seven stolen bases.

Carson Whisenhunt is the team's No. 2 prospect. The 24-year-old is pitching in Triple-A and is expected to debut later this season as well.

Whisenhunt is 8-5 with a 4.50 ERA over 94 innings this season. He has 92 strikeouts, 28 walks and a .272 average against him.

Josuar de Jesus Gonzalez is the team's No. 3 prospect, while Johnny Level is No. 4

De Jesus Gonzalez is 17 years old, plays in the DSL and has a 2030 ETA. He has a .248 average and .374 OBP over 29 games this year. De Jesus Gonzalez has 27 hits (including eight doubles and a triple), along with nine RBIs, 31 runs scored, 22 walks, 20 stolen bases and 22 strikeouts.

Level is 18 years old and playing in the ACL - he has a 2029 ETA. Across 100 games between this year and last, Level has a .286 average and .387 OBP. He has 107 total hits (including 21 doubles, 18 homers and five triples), along with 79 RBIs, 86 runs scored, 59 walks, 33 stolen bases and 36 strikeouts.
