Mariners Prospects Check-In: Harry Ford, Tyler Locklear and More

Taking a look at some Mariners' prospects at the MLB All-Star break.

Let's go over another prospect update for another MLB organization. Let's tackle the Seattle Mariners here.

We have looked at prospects for the Tigers, Dodgers, Astros, Cubs, Phillies, Blue Jays, Mets, Brewers, Yankees, Padres, Red Sox and Giants so far. We'll focus on players age 25 or below.

Top Performing Hitters

Tyler Locklear has logged 104 hits so far this season. He's the team's No. 9 prospect, is 24 years old, plays in Triple-A and made his MLB debut last season.

Locklear has a .309 average and .394 on-base percentage over 88 games at Triple-A this season. He has 24 doubles, 13 homers and a triple among his hits, along with 66 RBIs, 61 runs scored, 43 walks, 16 stolen bases and 84 strikeouts.

Rhylan Thomas has 96 hits so far. He's not ranked among the team's top-30 prospects

Thomas is 25 years old and has played in Triple-A all season. He has 13 doubles, five homers and a triple among his hits, along with 51 runs scored, 37 RBIs, 23 walks, 12 stolen bases and just 17 strikeouts.

Victor Labrada and Carter Dorighi have 87 hits each. Neither are among the team's top-30 prospects.

Labrada has played at Double-A and Triple-A this season. He has 15 doubles, seven homers and a triple among the hits, along with 50 runs scored, 38 RBIs, 49 walks, 32 stolen bases and 58 strikeouts.

Dorighi has played at Single-A all season. He has 20 doubles among his hits, along with 57 runs scored, 46 RBIs, 34 walks, 18 stolen bases and 67 strikeouts.

Carlos Jimenez has 84 hits on the season. He also isn't a top-30 prospect for the team.

He's also playing in Single-A as a 22-year-old. Jimenez has 15 doubles, 12 homers and three triples among his knocks, along with 54 runs scored, 53 RBIs, 45 walks, 20 stolen bases and 89 strikeouts.

Top Performing Pitchers

Among qualified pitchers, Ryan Hawks has the top earned run average at 3.15. He's not a top-30 prospect for the organization.

Hawks is 24 years old but still is in High-A. He is 8-4 over 15 starts and 80 innings. Hawks has 55 strikeouts and 23 walks against him.

Walter Ford has a 3.76 ERA over 81 1/3 innings. He too isn't ranked.

Ford is 4-3 over 15 starts so far. He has 62 strikeouts and has walked 17 batters.

Jurrangelo Cijntje has 63 punchouts over 56 1/3 innings. He's the team's No. 7 prospect and checks in No. 77 overall in baseball.

The switch-pitcher has a 4-5 record and 4.95 ERA at Single-A this season. The 22-year-old has a 2027 ETA after being drafted 15th overall in 2024. Cijntje has 34 walks and a .207 average against him.

Top-Ranked Prospects

Colt Emerson is the team's top prospect and ranks 17th overall in baseball. He's 19 years old, plays in High-A and has a 2026 ETA.

Emerson has a .270 average and .369 OBP over 75 games so far. He has 12 doubles, eight homers and five triples among his 78 total hits. Emerson also has 50 runs scored, 40 RBIs, 42 walks, 59 strikeouts and five stolen bases.

Lazaro Montes is the team's second-ranked prospect and checks in No. 28 overall. The 20-year-old is playing in Double-A already and has a 2026 ETA.

Montes has a .269 average and .387 OBP across two minor league levels this season. He has 82 total hits, including 13 doubles, 23 homers and seven triples, along with 61 RBIs, 54 runs scored, 59 walks, 101 strikeouts and four stolen bases.

Felnin Celesten is the Mariners' No. 3 prospect - he's ranked 52nd overall. Celesten is 19 years old, plays in Single-A and has a 2028 ETA.

Celesten has a .281 average and .342 OBP over 68 games this season. He has 12 doubles, four homers and two triples among his 79 total hits. Celesten also has logged 38 RBIs, 36 runs scored, 27 walks, 18 stolen bases and 71 strikeouts this season.

Harry Ford is the team's fourth-ranked prospect and is No. 54 overall. The 22-year-old catcher is at Triple-A and has a 2025 ETA.

Ford has a .292 average and .409 OBP over 69 games so far in 2025. He's posted 78 hits, including 14 doubles and nine home runs. Ford has 50 RBIs, 43 runs scored, 50 walks, 55 strikeouts and four stolen bases.

Michael Arroyo is No. 5 in the organization and No. 63 overall. Jonny Farmelo is ranked sixth and is No. 64 overall. Arroyo is 20 years old, plays in Double-A and has 2026 ETA. Farmelo is 20 years old, has a 2028 ETA and plays in Single-A.

Arroyo has posted a .276 average and .422 OBP this season across 80 games. He has 18 doubles, 17 home runs and a triple among his 82 total hits, along with 60 runs scored, 47 RBIs, 50 walks, 72 strikeouts and six stolen bases.

Farmelo has a .288 average and .348 OBP over 15 games this season. He has five homers, two doubles and a triple among his 17 hits, along with tallying 12 runs scored and RBIs, six walks, 20 strikeouts and no stolen bases.

Ryan Sloan is ranked eighth in the organization, but is No. 81 overall in the MLB. He's a 19-year-old pitcher working in Single-A and has a 2028 ETA.

Sloan is 1-1 with a 3.62 ERA over 54 2/3 innings in his first minor league season. He has 61 strikeouts, just 11 walks and a .264 average against him.
