It's time to look at five starting pitchers in action on Tuesday who are widely available in fantasy leagues and have good matchups.

Most stats are from MLB.com, as are the probable starters. The full streamer rankings are listed at the bottom.

Brayan Bello, Boston Red Sox vs. Colorado Rockies

Let's start with the best matchup of the day. Colorado ranks in the bottom 10 in essentially every offensive box stat, but their greatest benefits for our purpose are probably their walk and strikeout rates. The Rockies rank 29th in walks drawn, and their batters have struck out more than any other team. That's about as good a ratio as an opposing pitcher could hope for and makes them one of our top targets.

Over 453 career innings, Bello has been right around average with both strikeouts and walks. Those numbers are worse in 2025, where he owns a walk rate of 10% (league average is closer to 8%) and a strikeout rate of 16.7% (league average around 22%). It has led to middling results, which is fine, but it seems like Bello might have more if he can ever break through.

Bello is a mid-level streamer. He has been more good than great, but the matchup here couldn't be better, and it's a good day for Bello to excel.

Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates @ Kansas City Royals

Keller is owned in about 45% of leagues, more than most of our guys who show up on the streamer list. His career numbers are very average, but he's another guy who has a lower strikeout rate in 2025 (18.9%) than his career rate (21.9%). He is doing better limiting hits this year, with less than one base hit per inning pitched, and Keller has allowed just one home run every 15 2/3 innings, a phenomenal rate.

Yesterday, I talked about Pittsburgh and Kansas City being the bottom two teams in both runs and home runs; that's not a good start toward a positive offense. Teams can find success without knocking the ball out of the park, but these two obviously have shortcomings otherwise, with the lack of runs scored standing out. The Pirates are in the bottom 10 in pretty much everything else, making them one of our top targets for fantasy pitchers.

Keller is a low- to mid-level streamer. His profile will play well against this unimposing Kansas City offense, though the lack of Ks brings down his ceiling just a bit, especially since the Royals are near the bottom of the strikeout list.

Andre Pallante, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Washington Nationals

Taijuan Walker, Philadelphia Phillies @ San Francisco Giants

I'm grouping these two together because they both have middling matchups and aren't facing some of our friendliest teams for fantasy pitchers, like the Rockies or Rangers. I don't like going after Washington and/or San Francisco every day, but it's OK to consider targeting them if you need a pitcher when there aren't many other good streamers, as they top out as average offensive teams.

Pallante is good with walks but way below average with strikeouts, both in his career and in 2025. Even when working mostly as a reliever the three previous seasons, he still topped out with a 18.5% K% while generally sitting lower than 16%. A pitcher must be able to greatly limit hard contact to have success with that profile, and Pallante has been good in that area, giving up less than one hit per inning and one homer every 11 2/3 innings. That has allowed him to stay near the middle.

Walker has better career numbers, but he has been worse than average with both walks and strikeouts every season since 2023, when those numbers made a noticeable shift. His 2024 made it look like he was done, as he carried an ERA over 7.00, but he has bounced back a little there, limiting big hits and sitting below 4.00 while starting about half the time this season.

Pallante and Walker are both low-level streamers. Their strikeout work is lacking in 2025, and the matchups here are only OK, not targets that we are chasing. I'm skipping both guys.

Jose Soriano, Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers

Soriano strikes batters out but also walks too many; that's a profile I can get behind, especially in streamer land where most guys are below-average to well-below-average strikeout pitchers. He also does well limiting hits and has been phenomenal with not giving up home runs this season: just four homers in 104 innings.

The Rangers continue to toil, sitting in the bottom 10 in essentially every major offensive box stat. They have gotten a little bump over the past two weeks, but still, their numbers are only average during that time. This team will need reinforcements to get above a middling level offensively (or even to hold that level).

Soriano is a mid-level streamer with a little upside. The matchup is a nice one for a good day, and Soriano has continued pitching at a level where improvement could be a real breakout in the fantasy world.

Tuesday's Streamer Rankings

  1. Jose Soriano, LAA
  2. Brayan Bello, BOS
  3. Mitch Keller, PIT
  4. Andre Pallante, STL
  5. Taijuan Walker, PHI
