Week 3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Dak Prescott, Drake Maye and Jordan Love All in Top 10
Morgan gives his week 3 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
Yesterday, we looked at the top fantasy football running backs, wide receivers and tight ends for week 3 and now are back to discuss quarterbacks.
There's a lot of injured QBs heading into the week, so it makes it trickier to put together a complete list, but we'll give it our best shot based on the current information we have.

1. Josh Allen
Allen had a pedestrian week 2 showing, and also got banged up a bit. There's no injury concerns with him going into week 3, so I have him atop my list again.
He has a favorable matchup against the Dolphins and should shine on Thursday night.
Jackson gets the No. 2 spot going into a clash with the Lions.
It's an average matchup on paper, but there's simply not many matchups I don't like Jackson. Start him confidently this week.
Week 3 is a chance for Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense to get rolling.
He has a favorable matchup against the Giants, and with KC needing a win, I expect Mahomes to shine.
Daniels' status is unclear because of a knee injury, but if he's out there, he needs to be starting in all formats.
He'd have an average matchup against the Raiders if he plays. If Marcus Mariota makes the start, he'd rank in the late 20s.
5. Jalen Hurts
This might be the last time I rank Hurts in my top five if he doesn't deliver again.
He has the toughest matchup for a QB against the Rams, but is capable of still delivering great numbers by stealing rushing TDs.
6. Dak Prescott
Prescott might seem like a surprise here, but the most favorable matchup against the Bears gets him here.
Expect the Cowboys to be able to pass all over Chicago, and Prescott to rack up a ton of fantasy points.
He has foot and toe injuries, but is expected to play against the Jets this coming week.
It's a slightly above-average test for him, so I expect good things from Mayfield and the Bucs' offense. If Teddy Bridgewater ends up making a surprise start, he'd rank in the late 20s.
8. Jared Goff
After bouncing back in a big way in week 2, I have Goff in the top 10 for his clash against the Ravens.
It's a very favorable matchup on paper, although the Ravens' D looked a lot better last week.
9. Drake Maye
I had Maye ranked high last week and he delivered.
I'm running it back with Maye for a favorable test against the Steelers.
10. Jordan Love
Love has a test against the Browns in week 3.
Love has been good in the early going, and in a pretty average matchup, I expect him to post a good score again.
11. Kyler Murray
Murray has a tougher test against the Niners, but I'm not passing on his dual-threat ability any longer.
He's been solid through two weeks, and I expect him to continue that in week 3.
12. Justin Herbert
Herbert has a tough test against the Broncos, but with how he's looked in the early going, I'm sticking with Herbert.
I expect the team's passing game to keep leading the offense, and that will help Herbert deliver another good fantasy total.
13. Caleb Williams
Williams has a stellar matchup against the Cowboys, but I'm ranking him here based on how he's played so far.
I just don't trust Williams enough to put him in my top 10, and there's a bunch of QBs with way worse matchups going ahead of him as a result.
14. Tua Tagovailoa
I see Tagovailoa as an underrated fantasy option for week 3.
He gets the Bills on Thursday night. I see Buffalo winning big, but Tua putting up enough numbers on volume passing stats to deliver a solid fantasy total.
15. Daniel Jones
Jones has been so good in weeks 1 and 2, but I just don't like this matchup against the Titans.
Jones could still deliver better fantasy results with some rushing production, but this is where I feel best ranking him.
16. Bo Nix
Nix has struggled through two weeks, and now gets a tough matchup against the Chargers.
I see Nix and the Denver offense performing better in this one, so I'm fine ranking Nix right in the middle of the fantasy QBs.
17. Matthew Stafford
Stafford has a tough test against the Eagles.
I see him ranked a lot higher than this on some people's lists, but I'm not as high on him.
18. Sam Darnold
Darnold was all over the place in week 2, but the matchup against the Saints in week 3 is a chance for him to deliver a good fantasy mark.
If he avoids turnovers, he could finish way higher than this too.
19. Russell Wilson
Why not roll with Wilson coming off his monster showing?
He has a better-than-average matchup against the Chiefs, and with the Giants likely trailing, it could help Wilson to another good score.
20. Aaron Rodgers
Let's go with a second straight vet with Rodgers here.
He gets the Patriots in week 3. New England is another slightly above-average fantasy matchup for QBs so far.
21. Trevor Lawrence
Lawrence gets an average test against the Texans in week 3.
He too was all over the place in week 2, so he'll be looking to settle in a bit.
22. C.J. Stroud
Let's go with the other end of that QB battle in Stroud.
His matchup is also average, so this is a chance for Stroud to deliver his best fantasy showing so far.
23. Mac Jones
Jones was surprisingly good in week 2, so I'd be fine starting him in week 3 in an average matchup against the Cardinals.
Brock Purdy has a “chance to play” but I'm guessing it's Jones who gets the call. Purdy would be in the mid-teens if he ends up starting for the Niners.
24. Geno Smith
This is probably too high for Smith after his debacle on Monday night.
The matchup against the Commanders is average though, so I like him over the other options left.
25. Jake Browning
Here's another backup QB who will be making a start this week.
He has a bit tougher clash against the Vikings, so that's why I'm not super high on him - I expect Chase Brown to star for Cincy.
26. Carson Wentz
The other half of that backup QB battle is Wentz.
Cincy has been pretty average so far, but I expect the Vikings to lean on Jordan Mason this week instead.
27. Joe Flacco
Flacco has a tough matchup against the Packers.
Green Bay has shut down two better QBs and offenses, so I think things could look rough in Cleveland in week 3.
28. Michael Penix
Carolina has been a brutal matchup so far on QBs, so I'm really curious to see how Penix looks.
Off a down game, I'm not very high on Penix.
29. Tyrod Taylor
Taylor is starting in place of Justin Fields.
He has a pretty good matchup against the Bucs, but I'm not trusting Taylor in this offense against them.
30. Bryce Young
Atlanta is a tough test for Young.
With him also not looking very good to start this season, this is the highest I feel like ranking him.
31. Cameron Ward
Ward has had a brutal schedule to start his NFL career, and the Colts are another tougher test.
He needs a breakthrough before I'd trust him any more.
32. Spencer Rattler
Rattler has a bit tougher test against the Seahawks.
Rattler has been better than expected in the early going, but in a tough matchup, I'm not taking him over anyone else I have ranked.
Final Notes
We mentioned a few spots where there was uncertainty surrounding the top QB on some teams. Let's rank them all now that we have a final list.
If Daniels is out and Mariota starts, Mariota would rank 28th, after Penix.
If Bridgewater makes a start for Mayfield, he'd go after Mariota, or Penix, and before Taylor.
If Purdy ends up starting over Jones, then he'd rank 15th, after Jones and before Nix.
