Week 3 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings: Rome Odunze, Tee Higgins and More in Top 30
Morgan gives his week 3 fantasy football rankings for wide receivers.
After looking into the top fantasy football running backs and tight ends for week 3, let's now go over wide receivers.
We are approaching things from a PPR perspective.
Check back on Thursday for my quarterback rankings!
Check out week 3 fantasy football projections for wide receivers on FantasySP as well.
1. CeeDee Lamb
Like many others, I like Lamb as the top wideout in week 3.
He faces a Bears' defense that's been a favorable matchup to this point. It should lead to a big fantasy showing from Lamb.
2. Puka Nacua
Nacua has been great through two weeks, and even in a tougher test against the Eagles, I expect him to deliver again.
Nacua might end up as WR1 this season if he can stay healthy, as several other top-end fantasy wideouts have now lost their quarterbacks.
3. Malik Nabers
Nabers was great in week 2, and now gets the Chiefs in week 3.
Kansas City struggled in week 1, but was better against wideouts in week 2. The game flow should favor a ton of passes for the Giants, so I expect Nabers to go off.
Give me Jefferson at the No. 4 slot going into a slightly above-average matchup against the Bengals.
Jefferson is one of the guys without his quarterback, but I still believe in him enough to rank him in the top 5.
That's as far as Chase will drop this week, as he prepares for the Vikings with Jake Browning throwing to him now.
Chase delivered good numbers last week, but has a tougher matchup, so he falls behind Jefferson.
St. Brown and the Lions' offense got back on track in week 2.
He gets the Ravens in week 3, which is a pretty average matchup. Expect ARSB to deliver big marks again.
I'm going to keep rolling with Smith-Njigba after his great start to the season.
He has a tougher test against the Saints, but I think JSN will still deliver a nice fantasy score.
8. Nico Collins
I'm down on Collins, but I like his matchup against the Jaguars, so I'm still rolling with him this week.
Hopefully he can get going this week, and if he scores a time or two, he could even finish higher than I have him.
I'm high on the rookie wideout going into week 3.
He's been good in the early going, and a slightly below-average test against the Falcons isn't going to scare me off him.
10. Zay Flowers
I'm also giving Flowers a big boost up for week 3.
He gets the Lions, who have been an above-average matchup through two weeks. Let's see if Flowers can really establish himself as a top-end fantasy threat this week.
11. Drake London
London has a tough test against the Panthers in week 3.
London has had two very different fantasy showings, but similar production in them. I expect him to split the difference, but produce more yards, and maybe a score.
12. Davante Adams
A week after saying Adams would spend most weeks around No. 20, I have him way up at No. 12 - and others have him in the top 10.
Adams was fantastic in week 2, and now has a tougher test against Philly. I will always believe in Nacua and Adams, and that's why I have them ranked where I do this week.
13. Rome Odunze
I don't like this Bears' offense, but I like what Odunze has done so far.
He's got the Cowboys in week 3, which is one of the most favorable matchups out there. There's still a chance D.J. Moore or another pass catcher leads the way, but the early-season numbers tell me to trust Odunze most.
14. Brian Thomas
Thomas has struggled so far, and is now dealing with an injury.
His matchup against Houston is pretty favorable though, so if he's active, I expect good things from him. Travis Hunter could maybe enjoy a breakout performance if Thomas ends up missing week 3.
15. DK Metcalf
Metcalf regressed a bit in week 2, but did score to deliver an OK fantasy performance.
He gets a favorable test against the Patriots in week 3, so I'm expecting a bounceback performance.
16. Mike Evans
Evans has been outperformed by a rookie teammate so far, but I'm still a fan of starting the vet.
Evans has the Jets, who are an average matchup.
17. Ladd McConkey
McConkey has been outperformed by a couple teammates, but touchdowns are really what is separating them.
I see McConkey leading the Chargers despite a tough test against the Broncos in week 3.
18. Tyreek Hill
Hill got rolling a bit in week 2, and now he'll have a chance for even more points against the Bills in week 3.
That's not a favorable matchup, but I like the game flow favoring a ton of Miami passes, which should help Hill thrive again.
19. Jakobi Meyers
Meyers has been pretty good over the first two weeks.
He has a tougher challenge against the Commanders this week, but I think the Raiders' offense will bounce back a bit, and Meyers will deliver a good score as a result.
20. Garrett Wilson
Wilson was one of the few Jets who accomplished anything in week 2.
He'll have a new QB throwing to him this week, and in a tough test against the Bucs, Wilson isn't the best option. I think on volume alone, Wilson will do enough though.
21. A.J. Brown
Brown hasn't done much through two weeks, but I still believe in him enough to rank him 21st.
A clash against the Rams is pretty tough on paper, but I'm still thinking Brown gets rolling a bit this week.
22. Courtland Sutton
Sutton has underperformed through two weeks and has another below-average matchup waiting against the Chargers.
I like the Broncos' offense to heat up this week, and Sutton to deliver his best performance so far.
23. Tee Higgins
He gets knocked down several spots because of the injury to Joe Burrow.
Higgins could still produce above-average results against the Vikings though, it really comes down to how much you trust Browning.
24. Marvin Harrison
I was let down by Harrison's performance in week 2, so I'm down on him going into week 3.
The Niners are a pretty so-so matchup so far, so we'll see how Harrison fares against them.
25. Calvin Ridley
Ridley was a bit better in week 2 than he was in week 1. Now, he gets an average test against the Colts.
I see Ridley performing pretty well in this one, and if he finds the end zone, he could easily outproduce the ranking I gave him.
26. Ricky Pearsall
Give me Pearsall at No. 26. He has an above-average clash against the Cardinals coming.
He's produced with Brock Purdy and Mac Jones, so I'm fine starting Pearsall with either guy back there.
27. Terry McLaurin
McLaurin has underwhelmed through two weeks, and now has his QB banged up.
He's got a fantastic matchup against the Raiders coming, but with Jayden Daniels banged up, I'm skeptical of starting McLaurin. I'd bump McLaurin up a bit if Daniels is cleared to play.
28. Emeka Egbuka
Egbuka has been good in the early going, but touchdowns are propping his numbers up.
The matchup against the Jets is average, so there's a chance he and Evans are both top-30 fantasy wideouts. I'd start Egbuka in most leagues just in case his TD streak continues.
29. Jameson Williams
Williams wasn't super involved, but a couple big plays helped him post a big fantasy score in week 2.
The average test against the Ravens, and Lions' offensive bounceback performance in week 2, is enough for me to try Williams again.
30. George Pickens
Pickens did some nice things in week 2, and now gets that favorable clash against the Bears.
He could be a top-30 fantasy wideout this week, even if Lamb also shines.
