After taking a look at the top fantasy football running backs for week 3, let's do the same for tight ends.

We are approaching things from a PPR perspective.

Check back soon for rankings for quarterbacks and wide receivers!

1. Brock Bowers

Bowers played through an injury in week 2, and while he didn't do much, that was more a QB issue than a Bowers' problem.

I love his week 3 matchup against the Commanders and think Bowers gets back on track in the favorable matchup.

2. Trey McBride

McBride gets the No. 2 spot heading into a bit tougher test against the Niners.

McBride is a fantasy stud, and should always start, so I'm not as concerned with tougher matchups. I expect him to deliver again this week.

3. Tyler Warren

The rookie continues to climb as a fantasy asset.

Warren has looked good through two weeks, and in a so-so matchup against the Titans, I expect the tight end to put up another good fantasy total.

4. Sam LaPorta

I wanted to take LaPorta earlier, but off a slow week 2, this feels better.

LaPorta gets a super favorable test against the Ravens, so it's a great chance for him to bounce back.

5. Tucker Kraft

How can you not want to start Kraft after what he did in week 2?

He could emerge as the Packers' best pass-catching option with Jayden Reed now out of the picture. A clash against the Browns is a bit tougher, but I'm all for starting him after what he did a week ago.

6. Jake Ferguson

Ferguson also gets a massive bump up after a good week 2 performance.

He'll take on the Bears in week 3, which is a pretty average matchup. I see Ferguson picking up where he left off in week 2.

7. Dallas Goedert

Goedert missed week 2, so his status is one to watch as week 3 approaches.

A test against the Rams is also pretty average, and if he plays, I expect good things from the tight end.

8. Travis Kelce

Kelce has been underwhelming through two weeks, especially considering the lack of wideouts on the team right now.

A clash with the Giants is a pretty favorable one for him, so it's a good time for the veteran tight end to get going. If he doesn't, he might not ever.

9. David Njoku

He was a bit better in week 2, but still not up to his old standards.

Week 3 is a really favorable matchup against the Packers, so that's why he still gets a top-10 spot. He won't be the only Brown on this list.

10. Juwan Johnson

After two good fantasy showings, I'm in on Johnson.

He has the Seahawks in week 3, which is the best fantasy matchup possible for a tight end. It'll create a great chance for Johnson to keep rolling.

11. Zach Ertz

Ertz has been good across two weeks, although a couple touchdowns are helping his overall mark.

He gets the Raiders in week 3. Vegas has been tough on tight ends so far, but I expect Ertz to keep up his early-season success, even if Jayden Daniels is out.

12. Kyle Pitts Sr.

Pitts regressed a bit from week 1 to week 2, but a favorable test against the Panthers in week 3 is a chance for him to get rolling again.

Carolina has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, so it's about as good of a matchup as possible.

13. Harold Fannin

Call me crazy, but I have a second Cleveland tight end going before No. 15.

The favorable matchup against the Packers is a big reason behind my reasoning, but Fannin has also outproduced Njoku twice, so he's maybe even got a better chance to outscore Njoku. Fannin is still a bit of a sleeper, but this might be the last time we get to say that.

14. Dalton Kincaid

Kincaid regressed a bit in week 2, and didn't score, so his fantasy outing was pretty weak.

He gets a pretty good matchup against the Dolphins on Thursday night, so I'm expecting a bounceback performance and good showing from Kincaid.

15. T.J. Hockenson

Hockenson has barely done anything this season, so even in a pretty solid matchup against the Bengals, I'm not high on Hockenson.

If he doesn't produce for a third straight week, you can bet Hockenson will be among the most-dropped fantasy players going into week 4.

16. Hunter Henry

Henry put up a fantasy dud in week 2 after a nice outing in week 1.

A test against the Steelers in week 3 is a pretty average matchup, so this feels like the perfect spot to rank Henry.

17. Mark Andrews

I'm giving Andrews one more chance in my top 20, otherwise he could really plummet in week 4.

Andrews has the Lions in week 3, which is a below-average matchup, so things aren't looking good for the veteran TE.

18. Evan Engram

Engram is close to Hockenson in that another dud performance likely means he'll be dropped in a ton of leagues.

He gets the Chargers in week 3, which is a slightly above-average test.

19. Chig Okonkwo

Okonkwo has a tougher test against the Colts in week 3.

He was solid in week 2, so I'm hoping he can at least produce that much, if not more.

20. Jonnu Smith

Smith has an average test against the Patriots in week 3.

He hasn't done a ton through two weeks, but 10 targets and nine grabs appeals to me a bit still. We'll see if he can really deliver a nice score this week.

21. Brenton Strange

Strange took a step back in week 2 after a nice showing in the first game.

He gets the Texans in week 3. Houston has been a tougher test for tight ends so far.

22. Dalton Schultz

On the other end of that TE matchup is Schultz.

He hasn't done much through two weeks, but has been involved enough to try. Jacksonville is another below-average matchup.

23. Cade Otton

Otton gets a favorable matchup against the Jets this week. He hasn't delivered much yet, so that's why he doesn't rank any higher.

Otton had his three catches and 25 yards this past week, and has seven targets overall, so there's enough there to try him in some deeper setups. This could be a game for the Tampa Bay tight end to really get going.

24. Ja'Tavion Sanders

I'm taking a swing and trying Sanders next. He has the toughest matchup possible for a tight end, facing Atlanta in week 3.

The Falcons have allowed almost nothing to tight ends through two weeks. After Sanders had 54 yards on seven catches and nine targets in week 2, he's worth a gamble in week 3.

25. Jake Tonges

Talk about a gamble… let's try Tonges to round out my top 25.

With George Kittle out, Tonges and Luke Farrell have been splitting the TE snaps. Each has a touchdown, but Tonges has twice as many targets (8-4).

The real reason why I'm willing to try out Tonges in week 3 is because he has a very favorable matchup against the Cardinals. If you are scrambling for a fantasy TE, which not take a chance on the guy with a favorable matchup?
