Walker Jenkins - Minnesota Twins

Jenkins has been scooped up in 4.38% of fantasy baseball leagues already today. He's sitting at 23.38% owned as he prepares to make his MLB debut.

The Twins are reportedly calling him up, so he will debut Friday most likely. He's the No. 15 prospect in all of baseball, so there's a ton of hype surrounding that call up news.

The fifth overall pick from the 2023 MLB Draft is 21 years old. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound outfielder hits left-handed and throws right-handed.

Across parts of four minor league seasons, Jenkins has a .303 average and .404 on-base percentage. He has played in 265 games, collecting 145 RBIs, 179 runs scored, 158 walks, 57 walks and 187 strikeouts along the way. Jenkins has 62 doubles, 33 home runs and 13 triples among his 302 total hits.

With those kinds of numbers, scouting grades of 60 for hitting and power (and his arm) shouldn't surprise you. He has a 55 grade for running and fielding, and a 60 overall mark.

He mostly played in Triple-A this season, posting a .308 average and .407 OBP along the way. In 69 contests, he had 81 total hits, 28 RBIs, 51 runs scored, 42 walks, 17 stolen bases and just 48 strikeouts.

There wasn't anything he still needed to prove in the minor leagues, so the Twins decided to call him up for the stretch run. Now that he's up, expect him to play daily, and maybe be a big-time fantasy asset down the stretch.

I think Jenkins is worth adding in most fantasy leagues right now. He should have already been rostered in all dynasty/keeper leagues, and now he should work into redraft leagues. I like adding him in all deeper leagues for sure, and think he's worth some adds in standard leagues too, especially if you are searching for a little more outfield help.

If he excels right away, Jenkins could be a high-end fantasy hitter for the remainder of the season with his tools.

Jac Caglianone - Kansas City Royals

Caglianone has risen 2.56% and is now owned in 87.56% of leagues overall.

He posted five hits on Thursday, including a double and a home run. Caglianone had six RBIs, three runs scored and a strikeout in that contest as well.

Caglianone owns a .282 average and .332 OBP over 123 games and 479 plate appearances this season. He has 66 RBIs, 62 runs scored, 29 walks, six stolen bases and 125 punchouts. Caglianone has 24 doubles, 23 homers and two triples among his 125 total knocks.

The outfielder and first baseman is at two stacked fantasy spots, but he's also delivering enough to be added/utilized in more leagues right now. He definitely should be rostered in all deeper leagues, and he's a pretty good standard league asset too, so add him in those leagues too, especially if you need a 1B or OF.

Heriberto Hernandez and Javier Sanoja - Miami Marlins

Hernandez sits at 17.91% rostered right now - he was at 13.21% back on August 21. Sanoja is back on the rise after dropping from 27.4% on August 25 to 20.9% today.

Hernandez is riding a five-game hitting streak right now. He's collected seven hits, including two homers and a double, during that stretch, plus has four RBIs, two runs scored, a stolen base, three walks and just two walks. 

He has a .234 average and .313 OBP over 102 contests and 377 plate appearances this season. Hernandez has 14 doubles, 20 homers and a triple among his 79 total knocks, plus 55 RBIs, 37 runs scored and walks, nine stolen bases and 102 strikeouts.

Hernandez is another outfielder, so his own percentage is a bit lower than it should be overall. He's hitting well right now, so he's worth some adds and more utilization. Make the move before he cools off.

Sanoja had three hits in his last game - he had an RBI and three stolen bases as well. He has five hits over his past four contests, with a double, walk and strikeout tacked on.

Sanoja is now hitting .280 and getting on base at a .318 clip over 116 games and 372 plate appearances this season. He has 51 RBIs, 33 runs scored, 20 walks, nine stolen bases and just 31 strikeouts. Sanoja has 27 doubles, six homers and two triples among his 98 total hits.

He can play all over the field, so that ups his fantasy value a bit. Sanoja has hit well enough most of the season to be owned/utilized in some deeper leagues. He could be a sneaky-good fantasy asset in those leagues, so at least consider adding him.
