Connor Norby - Miami Marlins

Norby is rostered in just 3.41% of fantasy baseball leagues right now. He was under 1% until August 23.

He's been hot in August, and is on an 11-game hitting streak. Norby has 13 hits over that span, including five doubles and two home runs. He has nine RBIs, eight runs scored, a stolen base, three walks and 11 strikeouts as well.

Norby has logged 79 MLB games between his time with the Marlins and Rockies in 2026. He's now got a .223 average and .330 on-base percentage, plus 25 RBIs, 26 runs scored, 31 walks, eight stolen bases and 84 strikeouts. Norby has 17 doubles and six homers among his 54 total knocks.

Norby has found new life since joining the Marlins. He's played in 14 games, collecting 13 hits, including five doubles and two homers. Norby has nine RBIs and runs scored, seven walks, two stolen bases and 14 strikeouts over that span.

He's not going to hit .310 and get on base at a .408 clip for the rest of the season probably, but those marks make Norby worth adding/utilizing in more leagues right now.

Scoop him up in deeper fantasy setups. With him eligible at first, second and third base, he's more valuable than you think, so I expect his own percentage to rocket up. Take advantage of his hot hitting while it's still happening.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand - Baltimore Orioles

Encarnacion-Strand sits at just 5.37% owned. He's back on the rise now, after falling from 14.16% a week ago.

He has six hits over his past two games. Encarnacion-Strand has two doubles and a homer among the hits, plus five RBIs, three runs scored, no walks and two punchouts.

Encarnacion-Strand has played 31 big league games for Baltimore in 2026. He's got a .264 average and .301 OBP, plus 27 RBIs, 28 runs scored, five walks, a stolen base and 30 strikeouts. Among his 28 hits, he has six doubles and seven home runs.

He's been pretty solid overall, but diving deeper into the numbers, he's been streaky. That makes it harder to justify adding Encarnacion-Strand. He's doing enough right now to be picked up in deeper leagues though.

He should be eligible at first and third base, so those needing help at those spots in deeper fantasy setups should be looking into adding Encarnacion-Strand today.

Tommy Edman - Los Angeles Dodgers

Edman is trending back up after mostly going down over the past month. He is rostered in 28.78% of leagues at the moment.

He has three hits over the past two days, and has reached base in seven straight games. Edman has eight hits over that span, plus three walks. He's also got three doubles, a homer, four RBIs, seven runs scored, a stolen base and four strikeouts over that stretch.

Edman is hitting .271 and getting on base at a .351 clip over 56 games and 213 plate appearances this season. He has 51 total hits, including nine doubles, five home runs and two triples. Edman has posted 27 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 15 walks, five stolen bases and 44 strikeouts.

He can play all over the field, so see what positions he's eligible at - the more, the better. It makes Edman worth more fantasy adds when his bat is hot, like it is now.

He's a better deep-league fantasy asset, but if he keeps producing, I don't hate the idea of adding/utilizing him in standard leagues. Just be watching his numbers and making sure he's producing daily, otherwise find another fantasy hitter to roll with down the stretch.

Mauricio Dubon - Atlanta Braves

Dubon is at 67.32% rostered at this time. He was sitting at 64.25% three days ago, so he's slightly on the rise again.

He's riding a seven-game hitting streak right now. Dubon has a double among his 12 hits in that span, plus two RBIs, three runs scored, a stolen base and walk and just one strikeout.

Dubon has played in 126 games this season, getting 509 plate appearances. He's got a .270 batting average and .315 OBP, plus 63 RBIs, 57 runs scored, 30 walks, seven stolen bases and 62 strikeouts.

He too can play all over the field, so he's a better fantasy asset than he appears at first glance. Dubon is a very good deep-league asset, especially when his bat is hot. I'd be looking to add him in standard leagues right now.

There might not be a ton of extra-base hits or extra production, but consistent hits and low strikeout totals can also boost a fantasy team at this critical juncture of the season, so take advantage of Dubon's hot hitting before it ends.
