Let's turn our attention to fantasy baseball waiver wire hitting targets.

Here are our waiver wire hitting articles from Monday and Tuesday. Also be sure to check out Wednesday's starting pitcher streaming article.

Fantasy baseball waiver wire options can be found all season on FantasySP!

Spencer Steer - Cincinnati Reds

Steer is rostered in about 60% of fantasy baseball leagues at this time. He was at 23% a month ago, so he's been a better fantasy asset for several weeks now.

Steer is riding a six-game hitting streak right now. He has eight knocks over that span, including three extra-base hits. Steer popped two home runs on Tuesday night.

His recent hot stretch has him up to a .277 average and .351 on-base percentage this season, which has covered 58 games and 231 plate appearances. Steer has 11 doubles and nine homers among his 57 total hits, and he also has 23 RBIs, 37 runs scored, 21 walks, three stolen bases and 48 strikeouts.

Steer has played first, second and third base this season, plus left and right field. See which positions he's eligible at in your leagues. The more, the better.

Steer is a pretty solid deep-league fantasy asset right now, and he's at least worth streaming in those leagues while his bat is hot. He could even be a short-term option in standard leagues, especially if he can help at a few spots. Give him some consideration while he's excelling at the dish.

Carson Benge - New York Mets

Benge is owned in 41% of leagues right now. He was only at 15% a month ago, so he too has emerged as a better fantasy asset.

Benge also hit two home runs on Tuesday night. He has six hits over his past four games, and five of the knocks are extra-base hits. Benge has four RBIs and five runs scored over that short span.

The rookie has played in 58 games so far, and he has gotten 225 plate appearances. Benge sits with a .254 average and .320 OBP, while also having tallied 24 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 17 walks, nine stolen bases and 48 strikeouts so far. Among his 52 total hits, Benge has nine doubles and six home runs.

The fantasy outfielder is part of a loaded position, but he's delivering enough at the plate to own in most deeper leagues. I think that's where he's going to top out mostly this season because of some strikeout issues.

But in shorter stretches when he's red hot at the plate, Benge could be tried in standard leagues. Now is a decent time to utilize Benge in standard leagues, but keep close tabs on him in case his bat cools off. Add/drop him as he goes in/out of hot/cold stretches this season.

Joc Pederson - Texas Rangers

Pederson is up to 17% rostered at this time. He was under 2% owned on May 27, so he's jumped up over 15% in a hurry.

Pederson has quietly been a decent asset this season. He had a three-hit game on Tuesday, which included two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored. Pederson has six hits over his past four contests, and 10 knocks over his past eight appearances.

The veteran hitter has played in 57 games and gotten 183 plate appearances this season. Pederson has 21 RBIs, 24 runs scored, 27 walks and 38 strikeouts. Among his 38 knocks, Pederson has eight homers and seven doubles. His .253 average and .368 OBP are above his career marks, and way better than the ones he posted in 2025.

He's played first base and right field this season, but only for a handful of innings. Pederson is the team's primary designated hitter, so check to see which positions he's eligible at.

Pederson is just a deep-league fantasy asset in my eyes, and even a couple big weeks in a row wouldn't help him get into standard leagues. Consider him in deeper leagues at least, and definitely utilize him while his bat is hot.

Paul Goldschmidt - New York Yankees

Goldschmidt is sitting at about 10% owned right now. That's up a couple percent over the past few days.

We have another veteran hitter to discuss before wrapping up. Goldy has only logged 132 plate appearances over 35 games played this season, but the vet has been great in limited opportunities.

He has a .276 average and .364 OBP so far, along with 23 RBIs, 20 runs scored, 13 walks and 26 strikeouts. Goldschmidt has 32 total hits, including seven doubles and seven homers.

The veteran isn't playing daily, but he's been productive when given at-bats and playing time. That limits him to just being a deep-league fantasy asset, but he's still worth adding in some more leagues.

It'd have to be a pretty deep league to add and hold Goldy in. I like him more as a true streaming option in some deeper leagues when he's in the lineup for the Yankees. Keep tabs on him, and only make a move for Goldschmidt and hold him if his playing time increases.
