Fantasy Baseball’s Hottest Pitchers Right Now: Sanchez, Harrison and More

After looking into some fantasy baseball hitters who are excelling over the past couple weeks, let's get into some pitchers who are trending up.

Again, we will be using stats from May 11-26.

Cristopher Sanchez - Philadelphia Phillies

Sanchez has not given up a run over the timeframe we are using.

He's 1-0 over two starts in that span. Sanchez has allowed 10 hits and two walks, while striking out 19 batters over 17 innings.

Sanchez was a high-end fantasy asset coming into the season, and he's pitched like one, especially of late. Most fantasy owners are just going to enjoy the success that Sanchez has this season, but you could definitely sell him high right now.

Only trade Sanchez away if you are blown away by an offer though.

Kyle Harrison - Milwaukee Brewers

Harrison also hasn't given up a run over the timeframe we are using. 

He's 3-0 and has worked 18 innings in that span. Harrison has given up 11 hits and just one walk, while striking out 20.

He's a young pitcher on the rise with a new team. Harrison is nearly owned in all fantasy leagues now, and he needs to be added in all leagues he's available in immediately.

Harrison is a sell-high trade asset, as at least a little regression is coming in time. I'd be happier to hang on to Harrison and enjoy whatever success he has this season.

Zack Wheeler - Philadelphia Phillies

Wheeler has allowed just one run over his past three starts for a 0.44 ERA.

He is 3-0 and has covered 18 innings in that stretch. Wheeler has given up 12 hits and two walks, while striking out 18 batters.

He got a late start to his season due to an injury, but has delivered big since returning to the mound. Wheeler has regained fantasy value and is a high-end fantasy pitcher again.

If you are worried about him in the long run because of his injury, then selling him high is a decent idea. If you aren't worried, just keep rostering Wheeler and expecting big things from him in 2026.

Jacob Misiorowski - Milwaukee Brewers

Misiorowski is 2-0 with a 0.45 ERA over his past three starts.

He allowed a run on nine hits and two walks over 20 innings. The Miz has struck out 30 batters in that three-start stretch.

Misiorowski has taken a big step forward in his second big league season, and he's emerged as one of the best fantasy pitchers in the game. His upside is sky high, and that makes him a great fantasy asset to own.

Some regression should come in time, so you could sell him high, but like the other pitchers we've discussed, I'd be more inclined to hang on to Misiorowski and see how high he rises.

Joe Ryan - Minnesota Twins

Ryan is 1-0 over his past three starts, but it should be even better, as he has a 1.83 ERA.

He has allowed four runs on 13 hits and one walk over 19 2/3 innings. Ryan has struck out 25 batters along the way.

Ryan is a good fantasy asset, and he's been great of late. He should remain a good asset the rest of the year, but now is definitely a good time to consider selling him high.

I'd still need a really good offer to part ways with Ryan, but I'd at least consider it, because he won't always pitch this well.

Chase Burns - Cincinnati Reds

Burns is 3-0 with a 1.56 ERA over his past three starts.

He has worked 17 1/3 innings over that stretch, allowing three runs on nine hits and four walks. Burns has 24 strikeouts in those outings.

Burns has been really good most of the season, and he's continued to pitch well of late. He is a sell-high trade candidate as he's due to regress in time, but it'd be hard to part with the young and rising hurler if the return wasn't great.

Max Meyer - Miami Marlins

Meyer has a 3-0 record and 1.93 ERA over his past three starts.

He has allowed only four runs on 11 hits and seven walks over his 18 2/3 innings pitched in that span. Meyer has 23 strikeouts in that span.

Meyer is up to 92% rostered in fantasy leagues, and he was more of a standard league streaming option when this hot stretch began. He's still a trade option in standard leagues - you likely won't get a lot back for him based on where he was before this hot stretch, so I'd prefer to hold him and try and let him build up even more fantasy value.

He's a better trade option in deeper leagues. If you see him regressing over time, or simply not being this good for most of the season, then selling him high in deeper leagues makes a ton of sense.
