Tuesday Waiver Wire Targets: Fantasy Baseball Hitters to Add Now

Let's dive into some more fantasy baseball hitting waiver wire/streaming options on the second day of the work week.

Dylan Crews - Washington Nationals

Crews is on the rise as he prepares for his 2026 MLB season debut. He started the year in the minor leagues, but is reportedly getting called up today. Crews is at 19% rostered in fantasy baseball leagues right now.

Crews was a highly-rated prospect on his way through the minor leagues, but struggled in 31 games in 2024 and then 85 games in 2025. He had a .211 average and .282 on-base percentage over 454 plate appearances.

Crews had 87 hits across those 116 combined games, including 13 doubles and home runs and three triples. He also had 35 RBIs, 55 runs scored, 29 stolen bases, 35 walks and 102 strikeouts.

The Nats sent Crews to Triple-A in a bit of a shocking move after spring training so that he could work on his game. He's been better of late, but still only posted a .258 average over 41 games and 177 plate appearances.

He got on base at a .345 clip, and had 10 doubles, a triple and five homers among his 40 combined knocks. Crews added 20 RBIs, 30 runs scored, seven stolen bases, 19 walks and 44 strikeouts.

The outfielder isn't going to be called up to sit the bench, so expect Crews to be starting most days. He will need to produce at the plate in order to stick in the big leagues for the long haul.

He's an intriguing fantasy asset because of his once highly-graded status as a prospect. Crews is still only 24 years old, so he's still a couple years from his prime.

I like the idea of adding him in some deeper fantasy leagues today. Crews doesn't need to be added in all deeper leagues, but be ready to pounce if he hits right away. That also means he's worth watching in standard leagues - be ready to add him if he takes off and looks like the top-end player he was once touted to be.

Bryson Stott - Philadelphia Phillies

Stott is up 4.63% today, which brings his overall mark to 52.05%.

Stott had a homer and double on Sunday and then he popped another homer on Monday night. He's been trending up of late, after a rough start to the season.

The primary second baseman has a .226 average and .274 OBP over 42 games and 159 plate appearances this season. Stott has collected 33 hits, including seven doubles, two triples and five home runs. He also has 23 RBIs, 15 runs scored, nine walks and stolen bases and 27 strikeouts.

Stott started the season as a good fantasy asset, but after his slow start, he was dropped in a bunch of leagues. He's now been added back in most deeper leagues and is a standard league option again, especially because he's at a tough fantasy spot to find production.

I'd be happy to add/hold him in deeper leagues, while treating him more as a short-term fantasy asset in standard leagues. Hold and utilize Stott in those leagues until his bat cools off.

Carson Benge - New York Mets

Benge has been added in 4.37% of fantasy leagues, and he sits at 35.99% overall now.

Benge has been trending up over the past few games, and his numbers over the past week, two weeks and month are great too. He has seven knocks over his past three contests.

In 44 games and across 163 plate appearances, Benge has a .253 average and .313 OBP now. He has seven doubles and three home runs among his 38 total knocks, plus 17 RBIs, 23 runs scored, 12 walks, eight stolen bases and 32 strikeouts.

Benge has started to find his footing in the big leagues, and he deserves more fantasy attention as a result. He's worth adding and utilizing in most deeper leagues now.

If he keeps hitting, Benge will work his way into standard leagues. Until he's fully established himself though, be watching his stats daily.

Jake Bauers - Milwaukee Brewers

Bauers is back on the rise again, and is at a season-high 43% owned now.

Bauers has gotten on base in 19 straight games, and he's riding a nine-game hitting streak. He has 14 knocks over the past nine contests, including several extra-base hits.

He has a .288 average and .361 OBP over 39 games and 155 plate appearances for the season. Bauers has 10 doubles and seven homers among his 40 total hits, plus 27 RBIs and runs scored, 16 walks, four stolen bases and 33 strikeouts.

Bauers has hit so well that Milwaukee has found ways to get him in the lineup of late, even with the roster being about as healthy as it possibly could be. Bauers being able to play first base or the corner outfield spots is helping him get playing time still.

He should regress in time, but until he does, Bauers is worth utilizing in deeper leagues, at least. He could even be a short-term option in standard leagues, but at stacked fantasy positions, his own percentage will likely always be a bit lower than it should be.
