Week 8 Fantasy Football Projections: Waiver Wire Options to Consider, Including White
Looking for Week 8 fantasy football help? These quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends stand out in the weekly projections.
We have looked at a bunch of fantasy football waiver wire options for Week 8 already, and now we are going to go over a few more, but based on weekly projections.
Here are the more traditional waiver wire articles on quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
Weekly fantasy football projections can be found all season on FantasySP! Defensive rankings are also available!
Wide Receivers
Miami's Malik Washington is projected for 11 PPR points in his Week 8 matchup against the Patriots. He's rostered in 68.34% of leagues overall.
He has been pretty involved this season and has gotten five or more touches in five straight games. The consistent touches make him a better fantasy asset than you might think at first glance.
Washington is still a better deep-league starting option, but in a pinch, he could earn you a few points in standard leagues.
Jacksonville's Jakobi Meyers is set for 11 PPR points as well, but against the Colts. Meyers is rostered in 70.39% of leagues right now.

He had off last week, so he's available in a few more leagues than he'd usually be. He is coming off one of his better performances of the season, and has been steadily involved offensively for the Jaguars.
Again, I see a better deep-league starting asset here, but he could be a flex-level standard league option in a pinch, so don't forget about Meyers.
Running Backs
Pittsburgh's Rico Dowdle is projected for 11 PPR points against the Browns in Week 8. He's owned in 68.73% of leagues at the moment.
He played in just his fourth game on Sunday, but had his best fantasy showing, by a good margin too. Dowdle got 15 total touches, racking up 86 total yards.
Dowdle could remain pretty involved for the Steelers' offense, and he could become a sneaky-good fantasy option. I definitely like him in deeper leagues, and he's a standard league option too on weeks where teams are on byes or a bunch of running backs are injured.
Washington's Rachaad White is set for 10 fantasy points in Week 8 against the Eagles. White is rostered in 70.06% of leagues.
He posted his best fantasy showing of the season in Week 6 (he had a bye in Week 7). White finished with 57 total yards and a score across 11 total touches.
He could be the team's top back as others are injured. White is worth adding in all leagues, and while he's a better deep-league option, he also has a little standard league appeal, especially to teams lacking running backs.
Tight Ends
Jacksonville's Brenton Strange is tied for the third-highest fantasy TE projection right now. He's set for 12 PPR points against the Colts and is rostered in 57.92% of leagues.
He has picked things up over his past three games, catching at least five passes in each game and going for at least 44 yards. After his bye week, Strange is available in more leagues, so now is the time to go after him.
Strange is a streaming option every week, and he's someone to try in standard leagues if you aren't set with a fantasy TE yet.
New England's Hunter Henry is projected for 11 PPR points against the Dolphins in Week 8. That's a favorable matchup for the TE who is rostered in 60.75% of leagues.
Henry has quietly been really good over the past four games. He has 62 and 71 yards in two games and 44 and 48 in the other two - in the games where he was below 50 yards, he scored a touchdown. Henry has three or more touches in those four contests, so he's trending up.
Seeing his recent production and adding in a favorable matchup, Henry should be added and started in most fantasy leagues for Week 8.
Quarterbacks
Arizona's Jacoby Brissett is set for 19 fantasy points in a favorable Week 8 clash against the Cowboys. He's currently owned in 26.65% of leagues.
He's been a solid fantasy asset this season so far. Brissett is averaging 228.6 passing yards per game and has 10 touchdown passes to six interceptions. He's rushed for 11.4 yards per game and also has a touchdown run.
Brissett will be added in more leagues this week because of his great matchup. He's shown enough to trust in any league setup, so consider adding Brissett if you need a fantasy QB in Week 8.
Atlanta's Michael Penix is projected for 17 fantasy points in a clash with the Buccaneers in Week 8. The QB is owned in only 23.37% of leagues.
Penix is on a heater the past two weeks, tossing six touchdowns to no interceptions. He has at least 213 passing yards in all five of his games, and he's been picked off just once so far.
Penix remains a better deep-league fantasy starting option, but his recent work gets him into standard league consideration at least.
