We are at the point in the season where things start to run together. It's worse in the sports where more games are played; the 40th, 50th, and 60th games of the season get lost among the numbers.

Even with fewer games, we forget the difference between Weeks 4, 6, 10, etc. and see more of the full view of each team rather than their individual performances. It's easier to focus on two or three individual games when that's all we have.

Moving to fantasy football, let's look at three quarterbacks to start and three to sit in Week 10 of the NFL season. I won't give you any obvious names, like Josh Allen. Instead, there are six players listed below who are good fantasy starters some weeks but better left on the bench other times. Most stats are from NFL.com.

Use FantasySP's weekly projections to find the players expected to perform best and help make your toughest lineup decisions!

Start

Jaxson Dart, New York Giants @ Chicago Bears

Dart still isn't seen as a must-start player by fantasy owners, but he is moving that direction. He ranks as QB16 over the full season despite not taking over until Week 4; between Weeks 4 and 9, Dart ranked as QB3. He finished in the top 11 in four of those six weeks.

Running quarterbacks generally score more fantasy points than those who only throw the ball, and Dart has been effective with his legs, averaging 41.8 yards per game with five touchdowns. That is a repeatable, sustainable fantasy skill that will allow Dart to continue excelling, even when he has weaker passing games.

His passing will be just fine here, as the Bears have given up the third-most yards per pass attempt and the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. QBs have only run for 22.3 yards per game with one touchdown, but stronger runners in Jayden Daniels and Tyler Huntley both topped 50 yards over the past month.

Chicago just gave up 470 passing yards and four touchdowns to Joe Flacco last week, and they lost pass rusher Dayo Odeyingbo to a torn Achilles in that game, so the Bears are vulnerable to any quarterback right now. With a strong performer in Dart, there's top-five potential this week.

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions @ Washington Commanders

Goff has been a top-10 fantasy quarterback the past few years, a feat made more impressive because he doesn't add that rushing production that guys like Dart do. He is right back in that range again this season, ranking as QB14 while already having his bye.

Goff is an accurate passer and has good playmakers around him at running back, wide receiver, and tight end. Throw in a strong offensive line, and the situation is set up for Goff to excel.

This week, we can add one of the best matchups available. Washington has allowed the most yards per pass attempt and the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Only three starting quarterbacks are averaging more than the 8.8 yards per attempt that the Commanders are giving up: Sam Darnold, Lamar Jackson, and Drake Maye.

Everything is set up for Goff to have a big day here. Washington is dealing with injuries on top of ineffectiveness, and that extends to their missing quarterback, which might help set their defense back even further. Goff is a strong play in Week 10.

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints

How do you feel about relying on bad quarterbacks? A guy who averages under 6.0 yards per pass attempt and throws interceptions nearly as often as touchdowns; does that sound like what you look for? If so, then you'll love our last streamer today. It's like extreme fantasy sports, trying to get the most out of the least.

Well, Young is here because of the positive matchup this week (and because we have three excellent targets on bye, making it a little tougher to find great options). The Saints have allowed the eighth-most yards per pass attempt and the 12th-most fantasy points per game to QBs. The Saints aren't a great target, but they are a good one.

Young is just a low-level streamer, but things are in his favor in this one. I'm being a little over-the-top about his ineptitude, but he has struggled to make a positive impact for most of his time as a pro, and he's not a fantasy option most weeks. Young is a player to consider in a deep league or if you find yourself in desperation mode late in the week.

Sit

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams

This will also go for Mac Jones if Purdy misses this game, as he has the past five. It's looking more likely that Purdy will return, though, so let's have a little optimism and list him first on the docket. It's the matchup that really matters, not the quarterback.

The Rams have allowed the fourth-fewest yards per pass attempt and the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. They are tied for third in sacks and rank eighth in pass rush win rate (by ESPN's measure).

Purdy is dealing with a turf toe injury, so he might be limited in his movement, something that would make the pass rush even more of a worry. San Francisco rates out below average in both pass blocking and run blocking by the same ESPN metrics, leaving whoever is under center at a disadvantage.

San Francisco has a strong passing game, but this isn't the right time to count on big things in fantasy. Either the backup Jones or a hampered Purdy have rough outlooks this week.

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans

Lawrence doesn't look like a fantasy player at times. He still does enough to fit the streaming group, topping 20 fantasy points three times this season, but his lows are bad enough to question if you want him in your fantasy lineup. He is QB15 entering Week 10, still good enough.

This isn't the week to try him out, though, as the Texans have one of the best defenses in the league. They have given up the second-fewest yards per pass attempt and the fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, just a brutal matchup.

There's not a lot else to say here; Lawrence is a must-bench player who shouldn't be near any lineups, even in the most desperate situations.

Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Chargers

Rodgers and the Steelers are flying high after upsetting the Colts last week, turning them over six times on the way to a 27-20 victory. That would seem to be more of a product of the defense, and that's generally the path that would seem to lead to the most wins for Pittsburgh, if the defense were to step up and take over games.

While the venerable quarterback has been right in the middle in averaging 7.0 yards per attempt, his 68.7% completion and 17 touchdowns to just five interceptions are positive numbers that show that he is part of the solution more often than the problem.

This is another tough matchup, though, as the Chargers have allowed the third-fewest yards per pass attempt and the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Los Angeles was up to the same level last season and continues to shut down opposing passing games.

Rodgers is still good enough to be a streamer in the right situations, but this isn't one of them. No quarterback is a good bet against the Chargers.
