Another week, another surprise finish in the Thursday night football game.

This week, the New York Giants upset the Philadelphia Eagles, and not just by a bit. The Giants won 34-17.

Let's discuss some fantasy football takeaways from the game.

Skattebo Breaks Out

A couple Giants had big fantasy showings in the upset win, but it was Cam Skattebo that powered the offense.

He rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. He added 12 receiving yards on two catches and targets to go over 100 total yards.

It's early in week 6, but that performance could end up being the top overall fantasy score this week - he has a great chance to finish as RB1 too.

Skattebo has been stellar since taking over the lead role in the backfield, and even the return of Tyrone Tracy couldn't slow him. Tracy had six rushing yards on four carries. Devin Singletary added 10 rushing yards on three carries. Neither back saw a target in the passing game.

Skattebo played 49 offensive snaps, which was 71% of the team's total. Tracy played 21 snaps (30%), while Singletary was on the field for four snaps (6%).

Skattebo appears to have the lead role locked up, and that will make him a great starting option going forward. New York is lacking offensive playmakers, so Skattebo should be used plenty, and deliver good fantasy results, even in tougher tests.

Buy into him now before his value really erupts - it's already going to go way up after this contest.

Dart, Robinson Combo Leads Passing Game

Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was pretty good for the Giants in their upset win.

He completed 17 of his 25 passes for 195 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. Dart took two sacks, but also rushed for 58 yards and a score on 13 carries.

Dart's dual-threat ability makes him a pretty solid fantasy option every week. He hasn't delivered an elite fantasy mark yet, but this performance shows some of his upside.

He'll be added in more leagues going into week 7, and is becoming a better starting option in standard leagues by the week. Acquire him before it's too late.

Wan'Dale Robinson was the team's top pass catcher. He had 84 yards and a score on six receptions and seven targets.

He functioned as the top wideout with Darius Slayton out with an injury. Of course, the Giants are still adjusting to life without Malik Nabers, and Robinson showed he can be a pretty good fantasy asset.

He'll be a waiver wire add going into week 7, and could be a pretty good starting option in standard leagues depending on the availability of other wideouts. He should at least be starting in all deeper leagues going forward.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey stepped into a bigger role with Slayton out. He had 55 yards on four catches and a team-high eight targets. If Slayton were to miss any more time, Humphrey will be a deep-league starting option.

Tight end Theo Johnson went for just 27 yards on two catches and four targets. It's a disappointing showing given the available Giants' pass catchers, but it's not that surprising given it was a very tough matchup. He'll be a decent fantasy option moving forward, but the matchups will determine how many leagues he's utilized in.

Jalin Hyatt didn't take advantage of some extra opportunities, only turning three catches and five targets into 17 yards. If he cannot deliver without Slayton out there, he likely won't the remainder of the season either.

Goedert Leads Eagles on Offense

There were a few solid fantasy showings for the Eagles, but tight end Dallas Goedert led the way. He caught nine of his 11 targets for 110 yards and a score.

He has at least one touchdown in four straight games, and five scores over five games played this season. Goedert is averaging 48.6 yards a game, so while this was probably an outlier, his knack of finding the end zone is enough reason to start him at a weak fantasy position.

Goedert needs to be rostered in all leagues, and he should be starting in most of those. He definitely needs to be starting in deeper leagues, while being a pretty solid standard league option.

Barkley Held in Check… Again

Saquon Barkley came into the week nursing an injury, but a favorable matchup made this a chance for him to get rolling.

He only got 12 carries, going for 58 yards. Barkley caught two of his three targets for nine yards.

Barkley played 81% of the team's offensive snaps, so it's not like he was limited by his injury. The game surprisingly got out of hand, and the Eagles ended up throwing 33 passes, which is not how they function best.

Barkley's fantasy value has tanked since the start of the season. He's done enough most weeks to not severely hurt his fantasy owners, but he's still been really underwhelming in the early going.

If you believe in him bouncing back, his value is as low as it's been all season. You are still going to need to pay a hefty price to land him, but he's more attainable today than he might be all season.

If you don't believe in him getting rolling, then selling him now makes some sense. You can get players who will impact your team immediately, and who might finish above Barkley this season. It's a risk bailing on a player as great as Barkley, but if they aren't producing, some fantasy owners need to cut bait and look for help.

Other Eagles' Performances

Quarterback Jalen Hurts had a pretty good fantasy night.

He was 24-of-33 passing for 283 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He rushed for 13 yards and a score on seven attempts.

Hurts continues to be a good fantasy asset, despite not delivering monster fantasy showings. He usually does enough every game to remain a top-end fantasy option, even if he's not actually performing the best. That makes it easier to start him, and you can always hope he turns it on later in the season.

A.J. Brown had one of his better showings of the season, catching six of his nine targets for 80 yards. DeVonta Smith had 49 yards on four receptions and five targets.

Neither fantasy performance was stellar without a score, but both wideouts did enough to deliver decent-or-solid PPR showings. I'm still not a believer in either guy as a fantasy asset, and would see what kind of trade offers rolled in for them both. Brown will get you a better return, but Smith is still valuable for a lot of fantasy owners.

IDP and Kicker Stats

New York's Tyler Nubin had a game-high nine tackles. He has 34 tackles, but without any splash plays this season, he's just an OK IDP option.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott had an interception that he returned 68 yards and three tackles on Thursday. It was his first pick on the season, but he does have five passes defensed and 19 tackles. He's an IDP option in really deep setups, but that's it.

New York's Brian Burns had two sacks among his seven tackles. He's up to seven sacks and 30 tackles on the season, while also having three passes defensed and a forced fumble. The IDP value speaks for itself with Burns, who is excelling in the early going.

Dane Belton forced a fumble, swatted down a pass and added seven tackles for the Giants, while Dru Phillips recovered the fumble and had three tackles.

Belton has 26 tackles, two passes defensed and the forced fumble this season, so this performance looks like a bit of an outlier. Phillips has 28 tackles, eight passes defensed and two interceptions, so he's got a little IDP value to take advantage of.

Jordan Davis had a sack among his six tackles for Philly. He is up to 25 tackles and two sacks, plus has three passes defensed, so he too has some IDP value.

Philly's Andrew Mukuba, Jihaad Campbell and Zack Baun had seven tackles each, while Mukuba also had a pass defensed.

Mukuba has 32 tackles, a half sack, an interception and two passes defensed to kick off his NFL career. He's already a pretty solid IDP option.

Campbell is up to 40 tackles, plus he has an interception, two passes defensed and a forced fumble through his first six games, so he's another rookie with IDP value already.

Baun now has 49 tackles, two sacks, a pick, three passes defensed and one forced fumble this season. He's a very good weekly IDP option.

Philly kicker Jake Elliott made his only field goal and two extra point tries. New York's Jude McAtamney didn't get a field goal try, and was 4-of-5 on his extra points.
