As we get more information about teams and players in 2025, it seems like it should make decisions easier. All that extra info can actually make things tougher, though, especially early in the season when we don't know what's real and what will regress toward the mean. Are the Colts really a contender? Will the Chiefs miss the playoffs?

These questions and more keep fantasy owners awake at night and biting their nails as they watch Sunday football with hope and anticipation. And just when you think you've got the answers, they're changing the questions. Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, and Brock Purdy are among the big-name players who will miss Week 3, and that's just the quarterbacks; we have plenty of holes to work around because of injuries.

Luckily, the experts here at FantasySP are here to help. Morgan Rode and Daniel Hepner answered five questions in advance of Week 3 of the fantasy football season.

Which quarterback will disappoint in Week 3 and should be left on fantasy benches?

Morgan: Daniel Jones is probably my top pick for Week 3. He's been great so far, but he has a tougher matchup against the Titans in Week 3. I'd only want to start him in deeper setups.

Daniel: Justin Herbert has gotten off to a great start, and his Chargers look like maybe the team to beat in the AFC West. This week's matchup against the Denver Broncos will test that status and Herbert's great play. Denver was one of the best defenses in the league last season and has been stout in 2025, though Jones did well against them last week.

Give us a running back primed for a big day who hasn't been great so far.

Morgan: Taking Jordan Mason is kind of cheating, but he technically fits the bill here. He has been splitting the workload with Aaron Jones Sr. so far, but he has the backfield to himself for Week 3 and beyond. In a favorable test against Cincy, I expect Mason to thrive.

Daniel: Isiah Pacheco hasn't made any fantasy impact so far. He has combined for just 47 yards on 15 carries and three catches for 10 yards. That came in two really tough matchups against the Chargers and Eagles, but this one is much nicer, as the Giants have allowed the most rushing yards per game and second-most yards per attempt. He's splitting carries also, but Pacheco has a better chance to be fantasy-relevant in Week 3.

How about a wide receiver who will continue his hot start in Week 3?

Morgan: I see Rome Odunze excelling again in Week 3. He has been the best fantasy pass catcher for the Bears, and in a favorable matchup against Dallas, I see Odunze delivering a big fantasy total again.

Daniel: Emeka Egbuka is questionable with a hip injury but expected to play; there's a little risk there. He has started the season hot in fantasy land, though, catching eight passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns. While he won't score TDs as often moving forward, Egbuka faces a Jets defense here that is in the top 10 in most yards per pass attempt allowed, and he still has a clear path to starter-level snaps.

Do you have a tight end who is set to struggle this week?

Morgan: I see T.J. Hockenson struggling for a third straight week. He started the season poorly, and I don't see that turning with Carson Wentz now at quarterback.

Daniel: Jacksonville's Brenton Strange had good matchups in each of the first two weeks and put together seven receptions for 76 yards. That's OK for a middling tight end, but now he has a tougher matchup against Houston, a team that has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. It's likely to be another slow day for the young tight end.

Who will be the fantasy MVP of Week 3?

Morgan: I'll take CeeDee Lamb this week. He started the season pretty well, and he now has a very favorable matchup coming against the Bears. Lamb should shine in this one and deliver a monster fantasy outing.

Daniel: Lamb is a great pick, as I've been targeting Chicago all week. I'll go another direction, though, and choose Bijan Robinson. The Falcons haven't been shy about feeding their top back (34 carries, 12 targets so far), and now they face one of the worst teams in the league in the Carolina Panthers. Robinson will likely get the ball early and often, making him a high-floor, high-ceiling player with a great matchup.
