Top Tacklers
Baltimore's Roquan Smith leads the NFL with 15 total tackles this week. He had a fumble recovery that he turned into a 63-yard touchdown to really post a monster IDP performance.
Smith is a bigger name and a good weekly fantasy option. This performance only solidifies that.
New York Giants' Paulson Adebo and New York Jets' Jamien Sherwood had 13 tackles each on Sunday.
Adebo had a pass defensed along with all his tackles. He's a solid IDP option every week, even when he's not racking up as many tackles.
Sherwood is another really good weekly IDP option, and this performance shows his upside.
Broncos' Pat Surtain II, Giants' Dru Phillips, 49ers' Fred Warner and Saints' Demario Davis all had 11 total tackles.
Surtain didn't have a tackle in week 1, so this was quite the bounceback outing. He's usually not a big-time tackler, so I see now as a sell-high point for the lockdown corner.
Phillips also had two passes defensed and a pick in Sunday's game. He's had IDP relevance in the past, and while these elite performances won't continue, he's a pretty good IDP weekly option.
Warner had a forced fumble and fumble recovery along with all his tackles, plus a pass defensed. He's a good/great weekly IDP option, and needs to be owned in most IDP setups, even if it's just one player rostered.
Davis had a fumble recovery on Sunday as well. With 20 tackles through two weeks, you can see he's a good IDP option on tackles alone - anything else he does is just gravy.
Steelers' Payton Wilson, Seahawks' Ernest Jones IV, Rams' Kamren Kinchens, Cardinals' Jalen Thompson, Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga and Giants' Bobby Okereke all had 10 tackles on Sunday.
Wilson has 15 tackles through two weeks, so we'll have to see which performance from the first two weeks becomes the norm. Somewhere in the middle is probably the best guess.
Jones is up to 18 tackles on the season, showing he's a good weekly IDP option.
Kinchens had 14 tackles on the year, so week 2 was probably a bit of an outlier. Still, with this kind of upside, he can be a decent IDP option, especially in deeper setups.
Thompson is up to 18 tackles on the season, so he's proved himself in the early going. Get him rostered in a good amount of IDP leagues.
Hufanga has 21 tackles already this season. He's a good IDP option when on the field, so get him rostered while you can.
Okereke is up to 26 tackles already. He also knocked down a pass on Sunday. Okereke needs to be rostered in just about every IDP league at this point.
Sack Leaders
Saints' Carl Granderson, Cardinals' Calais Campbell, Rams' Byron Young and Patriots' Milton Williams all had two sacks on Sunday.
Granderson had seven tackles along with the two sacks. He has 13 tackles and 3.5 sacks through two weeks, so he's definitely worth an add in some IDP leagues.
Campbell had five tackles on Sunday, and now has 10 for the season. He might be 39 years old, but he's still got some IDP value.
Young finished with five tackles and a forced fumble this week. He has 14 tackles and three sacks already, so he's been a great IDP value.
Williams finished with three tackles on Sunday, and has six for the season. This probably was a bit of an outlier game, but in deep IDP setups, he's worth some ownership.
Browns' Myles Garrett, Falcons' Zach Harrison, Seahawks' Byron Murphy II and Falcons' Brandon Dorlus had 1.5 sacks each.
Garrett had five tackles on Sunday, and now has 10 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the season. He's a big name and elite talent, and has great IDP value in sacks alone.
Harrison had five tackles and a forced fumble on Sunday night, so he turned in a great score. He has seven tackles now for the season, so this was probably another outlier performance. Harrison is still worth a look in deeper leagues.
Murphy had five tackles along with his 1.5 sacks on Sunday. He has 11 tackles on the season, so he's emerging as a good IDP option already.
Dorlus had three tackles on Sunday along with his 1.5 sacks. He didn't have a tackle in the opener, so we might need to see more from him before adding him in too many IDP leagues.
Other IDP Standouts
Bills' Joey Bosa had two forced fumbles, along with two tackles and a sack on Sunday. He has four tackles and three forced fumbles on the season, so along with being a big name, Bosa is also delivering for IDP owners.
Ravens' Tavius Robinson had six tackles, a sack and a forced fumble on Sunday. He had 11 tackles on the season now, so he's emerged as an underrated IDP option going into week 3.
Lions' Brian Branch had six tackles, a sack and a forced fumble as well - he also had a pass defensed. He has 11 tackles now on the season, and is a good weekly IDP option with his big play upside.
Jets' Jowon Briggs had five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble on Sunday. He only had one tackle in week 1, so we'll see which level of production he performs to most weeks in the games to come. He's on the IDP radar after this performance though.
Bengals' Dax Hill had nine tackles and a pick in Sunday's win over the Jaguars. He had nine tackles in the opener as well, so he appears to be a steady IDP option for this season.
Jaguars' Eric Murray posted seven tackles and had a pick on Sunday. He had seven tackles in week 1 as well, so there's some IDP value to take advantage of here.
Steelers' Jalen Ramsey had six tackles, a pick and two passes defensed on Sunday. He had just three tackles, but two more passes defensed in week 1, so he's not a bad IDP asset to start so far.
Cowboys' Donovan Wilson had a pick and six tackles this week. He only had one tackle in week 1, so don't expect this kind of production every week. You'll have to monitor how he progresses from this showing.
Eagles' rookie Andrew Mukuba had six tackles, a half sack and an interception to help the team past the Chiefs. He had four tackles in the opener, so he appears to be a solid IDP asset in his first NFL season.
Cardinals' Zaven Collins had a fumble recovery for a score in week 2. He had four QB hits and a tackle. Collins had six tackles in the opener, so he's already turned in a couple nice IDP performances.
Titans' Amani Hooker posted eight tackles and had a sack amongst those. He had five tackles and a pass defensed in week 1, so he's been a good IDP asset so far.
Browns' Devin Bush had a sack among his eight tackles and also swatted down two passes this week. He had seven tackles and a pass defensed in week 1, so he's been a good IDP option already.
Dolphins' Jordyn Brooks had a sack among his eight tackles this week. He posted 14 tackles in week 1, so he remains a high-end IDP asset.
Jaguars' Foyesade Oluokun had a sack among his seven tackles. He's up to 17 tackles on the season, and also had a fumble recovery, pick and pass defensed in week 1. Oluokun is a top-end IDP option, so he needs to be started weekly.
Rams' Kam Curl had a sack among his seven tackles on Sunday. He posted 10 tackles in week 1, so he's already delivered two good IDP performances.
