Packers' Offense Rolls Behind Love

The Packers racked up 404 total yards of offense, so it was a monster offensive outburst. The final score didn't reflect how dominant the Packers really were.

Quarterback Jordan Love was good most of the night, and he ended up throwing for 292 yards, two scores and no interceptions. He completed 19 of his 31 passes. Love rushed three times for an additional 12 yards.

He left a bunch of yards out there on some missed deep throws. If he starts connecting on those, the Packers' offense will hit another level, and Love will be a high-end fantasy QB every week.

As is, Love should be started in most fantasy leagues on a weekly basis. He's been great in the first two weeks, and it came against two playoff teams from last year, and good defenses overall.

Kraft Erupts for Standout Showing

It was a mostly balanced attack for the Pack, but tight end Tucker Kraft was a standout.

He was targeted seven times in the contest, making six grabs for 124 yards and a score. Kraft had a long reception on 57 yards, but also had gains of 15, 17, 19 and a couple 8-yarders (including his score).

It was a possibly career-altering outing for Kraft, who was clearly the Packers' top pass catcher. On a team looking for a leader, Kraft might be that guy now.

He needs to be owned in all leagues going into week 3. Kraft will need to deliver again to show he can be trusted weekly, but his start percentage should get a huge boost for the team's next game.

The Other Packers

Josh Jacobs dominated the backfield touches again and had a nice fantasy day.

He went for 84 yards and a score, but it took him 23 rushing attempts to get there.

Jacobs hasn't been super efficient with his carries, but on volume, and adding in a score each week, he's been a good fantasy option. That won't change moving forward either - leave him in your starting lineups and expect the Packers to start running the ball better as the season progresses.

Dontayvion Wicks was the No. 2 pass catcher, going for 44 yards on four grabs and six targets. Malik Heath hauled in a 37-yard pass on his lone target.

Backup tight end Luke Musgrave went for 32 yards on two catches and targets. Romeo Doubs had 28 yards and a score on three catches and five targets.

Running back Chris Brooks didn't get a carry, but had three catches for 27 yards across four targets. Wideout Savion Williams rushed twice for 24 yards, while Matthew Golden had 15 rushing yards on two carries, and failed to catch either of his targets.

Golden could have had a monster fantasy showing if Love would have connected with him on a couple deep passes. Golden has been underwhelming as a fantasy asset so far, but I'm not ready to bail yet. He's a few better throws from looking like the next big fantasy wideout, so I'm stashing him until his big showing comes.

You might notice that Jayden Reed wasn't mentioned. He wasn't credited with a target, but had a touchdown negated on an offensive penalty. Reed was hurt on the play - we'll cover that in a separate story.

Doubs and Golden are the top fantasy options in the meantime, and Wicks could factor in more now too. Kraft might be the best pass-catching fantasy option though. Jacobs is another weekly starter, and so is Love.

Commanders Limited to Garbage Time Stats

Washington's offense was stifled most of the night by the Packers' defense. The Commanders finished with 230 total yards, but a lot of those came with the team playing catch up in the final quarter.

Jayden Daniels had one of the tougher games of his career. He still ended with 200 passing yards and two scores on 24-of-42 passing to deliver a solid fantasy score. He only rushed for 17 yards on seven carries though.

He's usually a top-end fantasy threat with his dual-threat ability, but this Packers' defense mostly shut him down. I'm not worried about Daniels, but I'd be all in on the Packers' D/ST moving forward.

Austin Ekeler was the top rusher, but went for 17 yards on eight carries. He caught two of his four targets for seven more yards.

He is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles, so his season would be done. Again, we'll cover that in a separate story.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt will serve a bigger role as a result. He went for 17 rushing yards on four carries, and failed to grab his lone target. He's lined up to be the workhorse going forward, so don't bail on him yet.

Tight end Zach Ertz powered the pass catchers, going for 64 yards and a score on six grabs and eight targets. Again though, most of that came in garbage time, with the team down multiple scores.

Terry McLaurin was more involved in week 2, going for 48 yards on five catches and nine targets. After two uninspiring weeks, his start percentage is likely to take a hit going into week 3.

Deebo Samuel Sr. had 44 yards and a score across seven catches and eight targets to deliver another nice fantasy showing. He's a better deep-league starting option, but after two good showings to start the season, Samuel will get some standard league attention now too.

Nobody else on the Commanders had over 20 total yards. Noah Brown and Jaylin Lane each had four targets, but only one catch each.

McLaurin, Samuel and Ertz are the startable fantasy pass catchers. Croskey-Merritt will be a starting option despite a slow week 2. And Daniels is, of course, a weekly fantasy starter.

Better days will be ahead for the Commanders.

IDP and Kicker Stats

Washington's Bobby Wagner had 11 combined tackles to lead the way on Thursday. He remains a good IDP asset on tackles alone.

Green Bay's Edgerrin Cooper had 10 combined tackles, two QB hits and a half sack. He's turned in two big IDP performances already, and needs to be rostered in every IDP league, even if it's just one player per roster.

Keisean Nixon had just two tackles, but he knocked down five passes. They kept attacking Nixon, and he didn't budge.

Devonte Wyatt was also good for the Pack. He had a sack among his two tackles. He also had two QB hits and two passes defensed. Wyatt has made the trade of Kenny Clark a non-issue on the d-line.

Green Bay's Rashan Gary had a sack among his three tackles. He's going to turn in his best season with Micah Parsons playing opposite him.

Speaking of Parsons, he had a half sack among his two tackles. He hit the QB three times and affected Daniels on several passing attempts. It might not show in IDP leagues, but Parsons is really affecting the game through two weeks in Green Bay.

Karl Brooks and Barryn Sorrell also had a half sack each for the Pack. Brooks had three tackles, while Sorrell had just one tackle.

Dorance Armstrong Jr. posted a sack among his six combined tackles for Washington. Jacob Martin and Von Miller had a half sack each - Martin posted three tackles, while Miller had one.

Green Bay's Quay Walker delivered another nice showing with eight tackles and a QB hit. Quan Martin had seven tackles, a QB hit and a pass defensed for Washington.

Green Bay kicker Brandon McManus hit two of his three field goals and made all three of his extra points. He missed from 48 yards, then made kicks from 22 and 56.

Washington kicker Matt Gay made one of his three field goals and made his lone extra point. He made a field goal from 51 yards, then missed from 58 and 52 yards.

Both kickers are good fantasy options on offenses that can move the ball consistently.
