Russell Wilson Fantasy Outlook
Wilson will open the season as the team's starting quarterback. If he or the team struggles, expect Jameis Winston or rookie Jaxson Dart to get some starts too.
Wilson was solid over 11 starts with the Steelers in 2024. He had 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions as a passer. Wilson added 155 yards and two scores on the ground.
Wilson is QB30 and going around pick 244 on average so far. So he's off the draft radar in standard leagues and is just a deep-league depth option in people's eyes.
I think Wilson is capable of more than that, even if it doesn't last all season. His job security isn't super high, so I'm fine with his ADP.
There's times where Wilson could be a standard league streaming option though, and he could start in some deeper leagues, especially two-QB setups, as well.
Don't overlook Wilson completely, because there's enough offensive talent to make him a decent fantasy option here and there.
Should Dart or Winston take over as the starter, they too will have fantasy streaming value. I think Dart will have the starting role by the end of the season, as I see New York struggling and eventually starting to look toward the future.
Dart would have the most upside of any of the team's quarterbacks right now. We'll cover things if a quarterback switch ever happens, so keep checking back all season!
Running Back Fantasy Outlook
Tyrone Tracy is the team's starting running back to open the season. Rookie Cam Skattebo is waiting for his chance and is a backup. Devin Singletary is another backup option.
Tracy is RB29 and is going near pick 74 on average. Skattebo isn't too far behind, sitting as RB37 and going near pick 103.
Tracy was really good in his rookie season, going for 1,123 total yards and six scores over 17 games, 12 of which were starts. If not for the team drafting Skattebo, Tracy would be a much better fantasy asset going into 2025.
Skattebo was a fourth-round pick this offseason, and looked like an NFL-ready back in college, so many are expecting him to carve out a big role right away.
I think Skattebo could end up being the best fantasy back for the Giants this season, especially in PPR leagues. It could be a pretty even split between him and Tracy.
The big wrench in things is Singletary. He is RB78 and is going near pick 271 on average.
If Singletary survives cutdown day, then he might also factor in, which could turn a two-headed RB room into a three-player fantasy nightmare. In time, New York should gravitate toward the younger backs, but early on, all three backs might work in.
That could leave all of them as subpar fantasy assets early in the season. I'm not super high on any of these backs, and would do my best to avoid them.
The only times I like taking Tracy or Skattebo are when I'm really lacking at running back, or they fall a couple rounds. I just don't see a ton of draft value in getting either guy. If I had to choose one to draft, I'd take Skattebo near his ADP, because it's so much later.
Singletary shouldn't be anywhere near standard leagues, even though I think he could factor in more early on. I doubt he'll become a standard league asset, but he's fine to roster in some deeper leagues, and could have some starting value early on.
This situation could be resolved if one of the three backs is moved, or if there's an injury. If those things don't happen, this could be a fantasy mess all season.
Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlook
Malik Nabers is the top wideout for the Giants. Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton are the other projected wideouts, while Beaux Collins, Jalin Hyatt and Ihmir Smith-Marsette are the top-projected backups.
Nabers is WR4 and going near pick nine on average after a stellar rookie season.
In 15 games, Nabers had 1,206 total yards and seven scores. He caught 109 of his whopping 170 targets.
He has a better quarterback situation backing him this season, so I'm confident in taking Nabers near that ADP. A lot of times, he also falls into the second round, which creates more room to outproduce and be a good draft value pick.
Nabers will easily lead the pass catchers for the Giants, and I see him improving on his rookie season. Draft Nabers as your top fantasy wideout in round one or two and build around him.
Robinson is WR62 and going near pick 179 on average. Slayton is WR87 and at pick 281 on average.
Robinson was a sneaky fantasy asset in 2024, racking up 717 total yards and three scores over 93 grabs and 140 targets. He's seen his touchdown total increase by one in each season over his three-year career, so he's on pace for four this year, and his overall numbers could also get a boost as defenses lock in on Nabers.
Robinson had flex-level streaming value at times last season, and I see the same happening in 2025. He's a better deep-league draft pick, and can be picked up in standard leagues if he's producing and has a good matchup ahead.
Slayton regressed in 2024, which makes sense with Nabers leading the charge. He had 590 yards and two scores over 39 catches and 71 targets in 16 games.
There's no real competition to steal playing time from him, but he could lose snaps if he isn't producing much. Slayton should be expected to deliver similar numbers to last season, but could be a better fantasy option with a couple more scores.
He's a deep-league asset, and I don't see him becoming any more than that. Don't write him off for good, but he's more of a depth option for deep leagues than anything.
Tight End Fantasy Outlook
Theo Johnson is the team's top tight end. Chris Manhertz, Daniel Bellinger and rookie Thomas Fidone II are also on the roster for now.
Johnson is TE38 and going near pick 307 despite being the top tight end, and only one from the team on the ADP list.
In his rookie season that spanned 12 games, Johnson had 331 yards and a score. I think he could be much more involved in 2025, with a better quarterback around and with no great pass catchers outside Nabers.
Johnson is still just a deep-league asset to kick off the season, and a lottery ticket at that. I think he could become a standard league option in time, so he's worth watching for all fantasy owners.
I don't see the Giants' offense being consistent enough to support anyone but Nabers, but there's room for others to step up, and Johnson could be one of the ones who does.
