Let's jump into another fantasy football outlook for 2025 by checking out the Atlanta Falcons.

We looked at the Steelers, Packers, Titans, Panthers and Chiefs so far, and will cover other teams in the days and weeks to come.

Michael Penix Fantasy Outlook

Penix will open the season as the team's starting quarterback. Kirk Cousins is still in town in case the youngster struggles or gets hurt.

Penix is QB22 and going around pick 174 right now. That puts him in deeper leagues, but not many standard leagues. He'll open the year as a streaming option until he can prove he belongs.

Penix made three starts over his five appearances last season. The eighth overall pick in the 2024 draft had 775 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions as a passer, while rushing for 11 yards and a score.

There's enough offensive talent around him for Penix to become a good fantasy option. Like I said before though, he needs to prove he belongs.

He's fine as a second or third fantasy QB in some deeper leagues. I don't expect massive things out of him, but if he puts together several good/strong fantasy showings, he could work his way into standard leagues.

Running Back Fantasy Outlook

Bijan Robinson is the team's star running back. Tyler Allgeier is no slouch either, but will be limited in his backup role.

Robinson is the first fantasy running back off draft boards according to our draft data. He's going at pick 2 overall, only behind Ja'Marr Chase.

He's been great since entering the NFL, racking up 3,350 total yards and 23 touchdowns over 34 games. Robinson had 1,887 total yards and 15 scores a season ago.

Robinson is not only a big threat in the running game, but can add a ton of value as a pass catcher. So in PPR leagues, it makes sense to consider him for the top pick.

He was the No. 3 fantasy RB last season, behind only Jahmyr Gibbs and Saquon Barkley. Robinson was easily the Falcons' top fantasy player.

Robinson is a great fantasy asset no matter your league setup. If you land him to kick off your draft, you should be really excited about the upcoming season.

Allgeier is RB52 and is going around pick 151 on average so far.

His production has dropped a bit in the two seasons since Robinson's arrival, but Allgeier still has at least 732 yards and three scores in each season.

He went for 732 yards and three touchdowns last season across 17 games. His involvement in the passing game dropped, but that could increase again with Penix at QB now.

Allgeier is likely to remain somewhat involved offensively for Atlanta, and there will be weeks where he might be worth utilizing in the flex spot. I like the idea of drafting him late in standard league setups this season. You have a solid flex option, and the top backup to one of the league's top backs.

I don't usually like drafting a starting back, then his backup, but in the case with Robinson and Allgeier, I think it makes plenty of sense because Allgeier is still somewhat involved.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlook

Drake London is the team's No. 1 wide receiver. Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud are the other projected starters, while Casey Washington, KhaDarel Hodge, Jamal Agnew and D.J. Chark are backup options.

London is a top-end fantasy option, and is WR10 and going around pick 21 so far. I think that's a great spot for him to be in, leaving a little room to move up and also presenting good value.

London is coming off his best season. Over 17 games, he went for 1,268 yards and nine touchdowns. He'd been at or below 905 yards in his first two seasons, and scored just six touchdowns combined in those campaigns.

London is clearly the best wideout on the team, and he'll be the No. 2 offensive weapon after Robinson. I'm a touch concerned about him repeating last year's numbers with Penix at QB, but I still believe in London doing enough to be a top-10 wideout.

He's a great fantasy wideout to build around, and would be an incredible second option if you can get him in that slot.

Mooney is WR52 and going around pick 128 so far. He's been dropping so far because he's injured to start the season.

Mooney went for 992 yards and five scores over 16 games a season ago. He got 106 targets, catching 64 of them.

A lot of defensive attention goes to London, so there's room for Mooney to carve out a big role and be startable a lot of weeks, like he was last year. The injury is definitely a detriment to his fantasy outlook right now.

If you're drafting soon, he's a risk to draft, but at the same time, could be a massive draft steal if the injury doesn't end up costing him any regular season games. I think he's worth the gamble at his current ADP. He's a flex option most weeks, and could be a weekly starter if Penix excels in his first full season as the QB.

McCloud is a deep-league option to kick off the season, but he'll have some standard league upside if Mooney misses time. McCloud is WR88 and is going around pick 295 so far.

McCloud had his best season in 2024, racking up 765 total yards, but just one score, over 17 contests.

He should remain pretty involved offensively for the Falcons this season, and I think he's underrated after only scoring once last season. There were times where he was in the talk for flex starts, and I think the same thing could happen in 2025.

I'd avoid him in standard leagues, but keep a close eye on him early in the season. There's a chance he's a flex option in week one if Mooney is out, and then occasionally throughout the season if he's regularly involved offensively.

He's a really solid deep-league asset and could start most weeks in a lot of setups. McCloud could be a really good player to draft after landing Mooney several rounds earlier, just in case the injury becomes a much bigger issue.

Tight End Fantasy Outlook

Kyle Pitts Sr. is back as the Falcons' starting tight end. He's one of the most hyped fantasy players in recent memory, but has struggled since his rookie season.

Last year in 17 games, Pitts had 602 yards and four touchdowns. He hasn't gone over 665 yards since his rookie season. A fun note: Pitts has upped his touchdown total by one in each season he's played in, so he's on pace for five scores this season!

There's room for Pitts to be a big part of the Falcons' offense yet again. And yet again, the draft hype and preseason expectations are high for the tight end.

Some have been burned too many times to trust him again, while others will keep giving him one more chance. He's TE15 and is going around pick 131 so far.

That late in fantasy drafts, the risk is a lot lower, so as long as his ADP doesn't skyrocket, I'm fine taking a gamble on Pitts. I'd want him as a backup option at TE though, not as my top tight end.

Maybe this will finally be the year Pitts breaks out.
