Matthew Stafford Fantasy Outlook

Stafford is the team's quarterback for another season. He's been banged up and wasn't able to practice for a while, but is back on the practice field and trending toward not missing any regular season time.

He played in 16 games a season ago, throwing for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Stafford ran for 41 yards and no scores.

Despite being 37 years old, he's still got some gas in the tank. This might be the most talented offense around him since he joined the Rams as well.

He is QB26 and is going around pick 201 on average. I'm higher on Stafford than that, and believe he'll be a streaming option all season.

I think you could spend a late redraft pick on him to serve as your second quarterback, but you'd probably be able to snag him off the waiver wire, so I'd hold off on drafting him.

Add him if he's consistently performing well this season, or stream him in the most favorable matchups. I do believe he'll be a usable fantasy asset in all leagues this year though.

Running Back Fantasy Outlook

Kyren Williams is the lead back for the Rams, and he should be for a bit yet. Blake Corum is a young backup option, as is rookie Jarquez Hunter.

Williams is RB12 and is going around pick 25 on average. He was RB7 a season ago.

In 16 games, he had 1,481 total yards and 16 touchdowns. He had 1,350 yards and 15 scores in 2023 - he only played in 12 games that season.

Last year, Williams had 1,299 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, while adding 182 receiving yards and two scores on 34 catches and 40 targets.

I like his ADP this season, as it leaves room for Williams to outproduce it. I think he offers great draft value and should exceed that draft position if he's healthy all season. Getting him as your No. 1 fantasy back is fine in my book, and if he's your No. 2, you are set at the position.

Corum is RB70 and is going around pick 240 on average. Hunter is RB74 and is going near pick 246.

Corum wasn't as involved as a rookie as many expected. Over 17 games, he had 265 yards and no scores. Corum only got 65 touches with Williams dominating the backfield.

Hunter was a fourth-round pick this offseason, so he has some expectations as he joins the NFL.

It's hard to imagine either backup accomplishing all that much if Williams is healthy all season, so that's why their ADPs are so low. They are fine to stash in deeper leagues, and especially if you drafted Williams early on, but I don't see Corum or Hunter doing all that much in 2025.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlook

Puka Nacua leads the wideout room, but now he has Davante Adams alongside him. Tutu Atwell is the other projected starter. Rookie Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and Jordan Whittington are the top backups.

Nacua is one of the top fantasy players in the game, but dealt with injuries last season. Over 11 games, he had 1,036 total yards and four touchdowns. He produced 1,575 yards and six scores over a 17-game rookie season.

Nacua is WR6 and is going around pick 11.5 on average. That's an early pick and high expectations, but I think he's going to exceed those marks by the end of the season if he stays healthy.

Adams being around isn't going to stop Nacua from putting up monster numbers. It could actually open a few things up. Nacua should still lead the way in targets, and the production that follows should lead the team across the board too.

I'm happy to take Nacua in the first 10 picks, and as early as No. 7. Getting him after pick 10 feels like a big win already, so snatch him up in the second and enjoy a big fantasy season from one of the game's best wideouts.

Adams is WR16 and is going near pick 41 on average.

He appeared in 14 games last season, playing three in Vegas before moving to the Jets to play with Aaron Rodgers. This is the best team Adams has been on since he left the Packers in 2021, and he should put up big numbers as a result.

Adams had 1,063 yards and eight scores last year. I could see him around 1,200 yards and several scores as the No. 2 pass-catching target. He's capable of leading the way, but at age 32, he'll transition into a better No. 2 wideout soon.

He'll still put up good numbers, but I'm a bit skeptical of him matching his current ADP marks by the end of the season. I'd feel better getting him around pick 50, or later, to create a little more room to exceed expectations.

Getting Adams as your second fantasy wideout is fine, as long as your top-end option is easily his team's best option. Don't bail on Adams because of the things I said, but think long and hard about taking him near that ADP.

Atwell is WR99 and is going near pick 322 on average. Whittington is WR113 and sits near pick 365.

Atwell hasn't progressed like most expected him to. He went for 569 yards and failed to score last season over 17 games.

He'll fill the No. 3 wideout spot again this season, so expecting a similar output is pretty fair. He's just a deep-league asset, and I don't see him working into standard leagues unless Adams or Nacua are out for an extended period.

Whittington had 305 yards and no scores over a 15-game rookie season in 2024. He's another deep-league asset, but likely just a depth option. I don't see him working into standard leagues unless chaos breaks loose in the wideout room.

Nacua and Adams are going to dominate the targets and production, and there will be little leftover for any other pass catchers.

Tight End Fantasy Outlook

What I just said applies to the tight ends too. Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson are atop the depth chart, while rookie Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen are further down the chart.

Higbee is TE35 and is going near pick 295 on average. Ferguson is TE37 and being selected near pick 301 on average. In other words, people don't know who to trust yet, and neither are close to standard leagues.

Higbee only got in three games at the end of last season, after missing the beginning of the year recovering from an injury he suffered in 2023. He had 66 yards and two scores in his short time on the field.

Higbee has been a solid offensive weapon for the Rams over the years, but I think the second-round selection of Ferguson tells you all you need to know about Higbee and his long-term value.

Until the rookie is ready to go though, Higbee could carve out a decent offensive role on a team with only two good/great pass-catching options. That makes Higbee a streaming option early on - he'll need to prove it before he gets added in standard leagues though.

I like Ferguson to take over the starting TE role in time, but I'm not sure he'll deliver consistently as a rookie. He's got more value and intrigue as a dynasty/keeper asset right now.

Like Higbee though, Ferguson (and the other LA tight ends) are worth monitoring in case one of them separates from the pack and starts delivering consistently.
