It's time to knock off another dynasty fantasy football overview of an NFL team. We'll check out the Chicago Bears next.

We already looked at the Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Bills, Ravens, Vikings, Commanders, Chargers, Packers, Texans, Rams, Steelers, Buccaneers and Broncos. I plan to cover every NFL team, so keep checking back for more!

Quarterbacks

Caleb Williams is set up to be the team's franchise quarterback. Only his development and play on the field will determine if that comes true.

I have him as my No. 10 dynasty QB right now. Many have him higher, but he didn't show me enough as a rookie to have any higher, and he probably shouldn't have been listed in the top 10 at all.

He had 3,561 yards, 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as a passer, while rushing for 489 yards and no scores over 17 games.

Him getting Ben Johnson should be a positive for his development and fantasy outlook, but Williams needs to show me more before I'm a believer. I wasn't as high on him as others were coming out of college, and I'm still not invested all that much.

He could shoot way up my top-10 list with a big season, or fall off it with another so-so season. That puts dynasty owners in a tricky situation, but those who roster him already should hang on to him for as long as they can - unless you are blown away by an offer now.

Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum are backup options, while Austin Reed is also on the roster right now.

Bagent has a bit of NFL experience over two seasons, but is destined to be a backup at this point. He's 25 years old still, but doesn't have much dynasty value at this point.

Keenum is a career backup and is there in case Williams struggles or gets hurt, and the team doesn't believe in Bagent. Keenum has very little dynasty value as a 37-year-old.

Reed is an undrafted rookie from last offseason. He is just a practice squad option.

Running Backs

D'Andre Swift looks to be in line to lead the team's backfield again. Roschon Johnson is the top backup, while rookie Kyle Monangai is also an option. Travis Homer is another somewhat noteworthy backup.

None of those backs are anywhere near my top-10 list, and it's highly unlikely any of them ever get there.

Swift is 26 years old and is coming off a season in which he had 1,345 total yards and six scores, but he's more of a depth option in fantasy leagues, not a weekly starter.

I expect him to split the backfield with Johnson, so he's a back I'd only want to roster on a contending dynasty team. His dynasty value isn't super high, but a contending team would be happy to add him, especially if they already had Johnson.

Johnson is 24 years old and has 815 yards and eight scores over his first 29 NFL games. He looks like more of a secondary back, not a lead back, but at his age, there's still time to improve.

Johnson can be rostered by any dynasty team, but if you don't believe in him in the long run, waiting until he's trending up and then selling high makes a lot of sense to me. I think there's better assets to have then Johnson.

Homer is 26 years old and has just 951 yards and three scores over his six-year NFL career. He's a fine depth option, but won't be heavily involved anywhere he plays most likely.

Monangai was a seventh-round pick this offseason, and is already 23 years old, so he's likely got an uphill climb to any type of fantasy relevance. He was utilized pretty heavily in college too, so that works against him in the long run too.

He's still worth stashing in some deeper dynasty setups. I would prefer to only do that if I wasn't contending, as I don't see him doing much as a rookie.

Wide Receivers

D.J. Moore is the team's top wideout still. Rome Odunze and Olamide Zaccheaus are the projected starters for now, although I see Luther Burden III overtaking Zacchaeus soon. Devin Duvernay and Tyler Scott are a couple other top backups right now.

None of those guys are a top-10 dynasty wideout in my eyes, but a couple have a chance to get there one day.

Moore is 28 years old, so his dynasty value is starting to drop a bit, or it will be soon. He regressed to 1,041 yards and six touchdowns last season over 17 games.

The time to sell high was really before last season, but contending teams could still benefit from rostering Moore, so rebuilding dynasty owners should still get a nice haul for him. You could wait until he has a big game or two to try and sell him high, but you run the risk of his value dropping more before then.

Odunze was the team's first-round pick in 2024. The now 23-year-old had 749 yards and three touchdowns over 17 games and 12 starts as a rookie.

I'd like Odunze more if Moore wasn't around, and in time, we might get that in Chicago. Now with Burden also in town, I'm a bit worried about Odunze in the long run. He's still a good dynasty asset who should improve as the years move along, but being in Chicago might end up holding his fantasy value back a bit over his career.

Burden was the 39th overall pick this offseason. He is just 21 years old and is a really popular dynasty asset going into his rookie season.

I'm not as high as him, but that's because of my doubts with Williams at QB. Having Odunze and Moore around will likely hold him back early in his career as well. I still like rostering Burden in dynasty leagues, but I wouldn't expect a monster season from him in 2025.

Zaccheaus is 28 years old, so he adds some depth to the Bears' wideout room. He had 514 yards and three scores across 17 games with the Commanders last season.

He is more a depth option in dynasty leagues to start the year, especially because I see Burden overtaking him in time. Now might be the time to sell high on Zaccheaus, and I'd definitely do that if I wasn't a contender.

Duvernay is 27 years old now and has just 1,199 yards and six scores over his five-year career. He has just 115 yards and no scores over the past two years, and is only a dynasty asset in the deepest of leagues.

Scott was a fourth-round pick in 2023, but has just 214 yards and no scores over his first 28 games. His dynasty value is really low, and it seems unlikely to rise unless there's injuries ahead of him or he gets a change of scenery.

Tight Ends

Colston Loveland was a first-round pick of the Bears this past offseason, and he's a real dynasty asset already. Cole Kmet is now a more-than-capable backup, while Durham Smythe is the third guy on the depth chart.

Loveland is my No. 6 dynasty tight end already, and he has a chance to move up with a big rookie year. I don't love that there's so many pass-catching options in Chicago, but seeing that he's at a different position, maybe he can stand out.

Loveland is 21 years old and should only see his dynasty value improve if he puts it together at the NFL level. Now is the time to buy into Loveland if you are interested in him.

Kmet saw his dynasty value really drop after Loveland was drafted. Kmet is 26 years old, but regressed in 2024 (do you see why I'm not high on Williams now?) to just 474 yards and four scores over 17 games.

He still should be somewhat involved inside this Bears' offense, but a change of scenery is the only thing that will get him into a bigger fantasy role. Rebuilding dynasty owners should sell Kmet while they can.

Smythe is just a depth option, and doesn't have much dynasty value as a nearly 30-year-old. He could play a bigger role if Kmet is traded, but he's unlikely to ever be a notable part of an NFL offense, even if he's playing a ton of snaps.
