Dynasty Fantasy Football Running Backs Rankings: Where does Ashton Jeanty Rank Going into the Year?
Morgan provides his 2025 dynasty football rankings for running backs.
Let's continue our dynasty football ranking series by going over the running back position.
We've already covered dynasty lists for quarterbacks and tight ends, and will tackle wide receivers later this week. Also be sure to check out the redraft rankings for 2025: quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends.

1. Bijan Robinson
I, along with many others, have Robinson as the top dynasty running back going into the 2025-26 season.
Robinson was the No. 3 PPR back last season and he's still just 23 years old. He should remain a top-five fantasy back for several years to come, and might even be a better fantasy asset as Michael Penix Jr. settles in as the starting QB in Atlanta.
2. Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs is my No. 2 dynasty back at this time.
He was the highest-scoring PPR back last season, and should continue to be an elite option, even after the departure of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Gibbs splitting the workload with David Montgomery over the past couple seasons should take some of the wear and tear off Gibbs' body over time. The 23-year-old should be a fantasy star for several more seasons yet.
3. Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty gets the No. 3 dynasty spot before even playing an NFL snap.
He's going to be a workhorse for the Raiders in his rookie season and should become another go-to fantasy star back. The 21-year-old could end up passing Robinson and Gibbs depending on how his rookie season goes.
4. De'Von Achane
I went back and forth on where to put Achane, but he lands in my No. 4 spot because he's just 23 years old.
He improved from his first season to his second one, and most importantly, was able to stay relatively healthy. Achane should be more involved offensively for the Dolphins starting with this season, and he should be a PPR star for several more years yet.
5. Saquon Barkley
Barkley in the No. 5 slot just doesn't look right, but I honestly felt like he should have been lower.
Barkley is without a doubt one of the top fantasy backs in the game today, but he's also 28 years old and gearing up for his eighth NFL season. He looks to have plenty in the tank based on what we saw last season, but he also hinted about retirement already, so he might hang up the cleats well before he's lost his ability.
I'd only roster Barkley on a contending dynasty team. Otherwise, I'd try to ship him out for future assets.
6. Bucky Irving
I'm higher on Irving than a lot of folks, but I think he's got an incredibly bright future in the NFL.
He put up big-time numbers in a split backfield a season ago, and now should get a majority of the touches. The 22-year-old is going to be a top-end fantasy back for several seasons, and everything added up means he's a great dynasty asset.
7. Omarion Hampton
Another rookie at No. 7 with Hampton, who went to the Chargers at pick 22.
I was a big fan of him coming out of college, and although his landing spot could have been better, I think Hampton will star for the Chargers for years to come. Him splitting the workload early in his career should only benefit him in the long run.
8. Jonathan Taylor
Taylor shows up at No. 8 for me right now.
He's still only 26 years old as he prepares for his sixth NFL season. Taylor has dealt with some injuries over the years, otherwise he'd rank a bit higher for me. He's another guy to roster on a contending dynasty team only, otherwise I'd sell him before his value drops any further.
9. Breece Hall
Hall is my No. 9 dynasty back.
That seems low, especially because he's just 24 years old still. He has been good over the past two seasons, but hasn't been among the top fantasy backs. This will be a moving year for Hall, with him either moving up a couple spots or out of my rankings depending on how his season unfolds.
10. Kyren Williams
I think Williams is overlooked by too many dynasty owners. I have him in my top 10 in the last spot.
He's 24 years old and has been a huge fantasy asset over the past two seasons. The Rams' quarterback situation puts a little doubt in my head about what kind of dynasty asset Williams might be after this season, but he's done too much and is too young to not at least be in the top 10 still.
