Way-Too-Early Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings for 2025: Which Dual-Threat Star will Lead the Way?
Morgan provides his 2025 fantasy football rankings for quarterbacks.
The fantasy football season is a ways off yet, but NFL teams are practicing now, so it's got a lot of people thinking about the upcoming season.
With that in mind, let's put together a way-too-early fantasy football ranking list. We'll start with quarterbacks in this story. I plan to do the same thing closer to the season, and my rankings and opinions are bound to change a bit between now and then.

Dual-Threat Stars
There's four dual-threat quarterbacks who top my list for 2025.
Leading the way is Buffalo's Josh Allen. He was the No. 2 fantasy QB last season, and I think Allen finishes as the top guy in 2025.
The Bills' offense had a year to grow, and added some more talent to the mix. I think Allen could be in for his best season yet.
Next I'll take Baltimore's Lamar Jackson. He was the top fantasy QB last season, but I see him falling back a spot in 2025.
Baltimore didn't do a ton this offseason, except get older, so that's where I see a little regression coming. Jackson is still going to be great as a fantasy asset, but I do think he takes a small step back.
I'll take Washington's Jayden Daniels to finish third. He was a top-five finisher last season as a rookie, and I think he improves his numbers in year two.
The Commanders added a bit of talent around Daniels this offseason, but his improvement more comes from having a full season under his belt. It wouldn't even surprise me if Daniels leapfrogged Jackson and Allen for the top fantasy spot.
The last QB in this dual-threat tier and the fourth one I'm taking overall is Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts. He was a top-five fantasy QB on a per-week basis last season.
Philly is pretty much running things back on offense after winning the Super Bowl, which makes lots of sense. Hurts will be asked to do a lot again, and the Tush Push not being banned means he should again be one of the game's best fantasy quarterbacks.
The Others
After the dual-threat quarterbacks, I could see several different QBs finishing inside the top 10 this season.
I have Cincinnati's Joe Burrow taking the fifth spot. He came in third again, but I don't think Cincy will be so dependent on Burrow in 2025.
He's got a stacked offense, and Burrow has a chance to overtake any of the dual-threat QBs if the Bengals' offense needs to put up a ton of points again.
Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes checks in sixth for me. He was outside the top 10 last season, both in total fantasy points and points per game.
The Chiefs' offense got better in the offseason, and should get Rashee Rice back. Mahomes could be in for a bounceback season, and that's why I have him ranked as high as I do.
Tampa Bay's Baker Mayfield is my No. 7 fantasy QB for 2025. He was fourth overall and on a per-game basis last year.
The Bucs' offense is stacked with weapons and added rookie first-rounder Emeka Egbuka to the mix. Mayfield could outperform my ranking for him, like he did last year, but this feels like the right spot at this moment.
Denver's Bo Nix ranks eighth for me. He was the No. 7 fantasy QB overall last season in his rookie campaign.
I expect some improvement from Nix in his second NFL season. The Broncos' offense got more talent during the offseason, but between other injured QBs returning for a full season and some underperformers bouncing back, I have Nix regressing in his final ranking.
Arizona's Kyler Murray landed in the top 10 last season, and I think he moves up to No. 9 this season.
Arizona's offense didn't make any big moves this offseason, so I'm more banking on Murray's dual-threat ability and guys like Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. getting better this season.
San Francisco's Brock Purdy rounds out the top 10 for me. He finished outside it last year, but was a top-10 finisher on a per-week basis, among the guys who started regularly at least.
This is a bounce back season for the 49ers as a whole, and Purdy could soar way higher than No. 10 if everything comes together. The Niners will need to stay healthy for Purdy to land in the top 10.
