Last week, I started a fantasy football series where I rank my top-10 fantasy players at each position.

We started with the quarterback position and are moving to tight ends now. For tight ends, wide receivers and running backs, I'm viewing things from a PPR perspective.

Top-End Tight Ends

I have three tight ends in my top tier going into 2025.

I'll kick things off with Brock Bowers in my top spot.

He was the top fantasy TE in 2024, and I believe he'll repeat as the top guy again in 2025. Bowers is in a better fantasy spot going into this season, so the sky is the limit for him.

Trey McBride is my No. 2 tight end for 2025.

He took second at the position last season, and now is on everyone's fantasy radar for 2025. McBride should have a huge role inside the Cardinals' offense, and he could improve on what he did last year, as he's bound to score more touchdowns.

George Kittle is my No. 3 tight end for the upcoming season.

The Niners had a down season in 2025, but Kittle still was a great fantasy asset. He finished third at the position and was the top scorer on a per game basis. San Fran should have more offensive weapons at its disposal in 2025, so that's why I have Kittle finishing where I do.

The Next Tier

There's a number of tight ends I could put in this next tier. I could see any of these guys finishing between 4th-10th at the position by the end of the season.

I'll start with Sam LaPorta, who is my No. 4 TE for the coming season.

LaPorta was viewed as the top fantasy TE going into last season, but ended up finishing eighth in points leagues - he was ninth on a per-game basis. I'm not ready to bail on LaPorta yet, and think he has a big bounceback season. He has the potential to be the top fantasy TE again, but I'm most comfortable putting him fourth at this point.

I'm trying to keep injury woes out of my head when putting together this list, and that's why I have David Njoku fifth.

He averaged the fourth-most fantasy points among tight ends last season, but only got in 11 games. If Njoku stays healthy, he could absolutely be a top-five fantasy TE. And if you are worried about him not having an established QB throwing to him, Njoku didn't last year either.

I'll take Jonnu Smith sixth, even though his 2025 team is up in the air.

Smith was the No. 4 fantasy TE in points leagues last season, and I expect him to land with a team that will utilize him plenty. Smith very well could rise on my top-10 rankings before the season depending on his landing spot.

Travis Kelce is my No. 7 fantasy tight end for 2025. It almost feels wrong to write that.

Kelce wasn't great last year though, finishing fifth at the position. He could up his fantasy marks with a few more touchdown grabs, but the Chiefs' offense also has plenty of talent to go around, so Kelce is more likely to regress a bit more.

I'd take T.J. Hockenson eighth.

I see Hockenson going a lot higher on a lot of lists so far, but I'm not nearly as high on him. He has to contend with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison still, and he has a first-year quarterback throwing to him. I feel best having Hockenson ranked where I do.

Mark Andrews falls to No. 9 in my book.

He finished sixth in points leagues last season, but that was with him scoring 11 touchdowns. Andrews could be a frequent scorer again in 2025, but I expect a little regression, thus him nearly falling outside the top 10 for me.

I'm going to go with Pat Freiermuth in my 10th spot.

He took ninth a season ago, and I think he's in a better fantasy position going into 2025. Freiermuth is one of the few reliable pass catchers on the Steelers, and Aaron Rodgers has to throw to someone. I think Freiermuth will be a pretty solid weekly fantasy asset in 2025.
