These are the most exciting and most fun novelty props to bet on during the Super Bowl

With the Super Bowl comes all types of wacky bets. You can bet on everything all night, from the coin toss to the final score. We will be going over some of the craziest and most interesting novelty props and let you know what you should be betting on.

Super Bowl 57 Novelty Props

Coin Toss

We start with a classic. The coin toss is the original Super Bowl novelty bet and easily the most popular. It's simple, it's easy, and a ton of people love the idea of getting their feet wet right from the start of the game. Last year, we bet tails and it hit. It was the first time in three years that it's landed on tails. However, if you look at every Super Bowl, it's landed on tails 30 times which is 57% of the time and heads just 27 times. As always, the odds for both heads and tails are the same and they are +100.

There are also variations of this bet. You can also pick which team will win the coin toss or if a team will win both the toss and the game. If you dig deep enough you will find almost infinite gambling options during this game. We are keeping it simple and going with what works.

The Pick: Tails (+100)

Gatorade Color

Another popular novelty bet is what color the winning team's Gatorade will be when they dump on their coach after winning a Super Bowl Championship. No Gatorade bath is also an option at +1,600. The favorite this year is purple at +250. The reason most likely being that that is the color Gatorade Kansas City had last year when they won the championship. However, when they won in 2020 it was orange. This has never been an easy one to guess. It doesn't tend to go along with team color or anything predictable like that. I prefer to just take longer odds.

Since 2001, five teams have won multiple Super Bowls, and only once has the same color appeared twice for the same team. The Pats had blue Gatorade in 2015 and 2019. While they are blue, odds are something was going to come up twice when you win six times. The other four teams seem like the better gauge.

Blue has also been the most common Gatorade color to appear since 2015 being the winning bet 50% of the time with four appearances. Since 2001, orange is the leader with five appearances. However, there is one color that has never been the winning bet and that’s red/pink. My personal favorite Gatorade and the personal favorite of any sane human being with taste buds. You also have the choice of water at +750 and no Gatorade bath at +1200. Only the Patriots have ever not done a Gatorade bath and that happened three times.

The Pick: Orange (+300)

Octopus

The octopus is a fun novelty bet and it actually hit last year. Prior to last season, Patrick Mahomes was the most recent player to accomplish this feat. An octopus is when the same player scores a TD and then also scores the 2-pt conversion immediately after. It's called an octopus because you get eight points. You don't even have to pick the player who will get an octopus. It's a simple yes or no question. Will someone get an octopus in the Super Bowl? Betting no is essentially pointless because the odds are -5000. That means you'd have to bet $100 to win $2. However, the odds of picking yes is +1,400. This makes a very exciting play even more exciting and you can win some decent money here.

The Pick: Yes (+1,400)

Scorigami

This is probably the craziest of all the novelty prop bets. You can bet on a scorigami. This is when the game ends with a score that has never happened before in any NFL game. This obviously doesn't happen very often. In order for this to hit you will likely need a very high-scoring game or some strange occurrences like safeties or missed extra points. Odds are if you bet this you won’t even know you have won until social media lets you know about it. This is another bet when picking it to happen is the only real option because the odds when picking no is -10000. We wouldn't advise throwing much on this, but a few dollars on Super Bowl Sunday won't hurt too much.

The Pick: Yes (+2000)

Kick to Hit Post

This is my personal favorite novelty prop and in my opinion, the most fun when it actually hits, and it just hit last year when Harrison Butker hit the post of a field goal. This prop doesn't need a ton of explanation, but it's when any kick on a field goal or extra point attempt hits any of the field goal posts. It adds a nice swerve to field goals which are usually let downs after a team doesn't score a TD. We were going nuts last year watching this game when it hit because I wouldn't shut up about it beforehand. The only caveat is that this does not apply to kickoffs or punts. Only field goal and extra point attempts.

The Pick: Yes (+450)
