Week 8 Fantasy Football Streamers: Juwan Johnson Emerges As Sneaky Tight End!

Mark Morales-Smith Oct 26th 5:25 AM EDT.

Injuries, bye weeks, and benchings will leave your fantasy team short-handed this week and almost every other for the remainder of the season. You’re going to have to go to the waiver wire and find some players to get you through the week. These are guys you can stream with confidence in Week 8.

Fantasy SP is proud to announce the recent launch of our NFL DFS Optimizer! Dominate on DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo with our trustworthy Lineup Generator!

Quarterbacks

Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Each week Jones looks a little bit more comfortable in the Giants’ new system. Last week he exploded for over 200 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. This week, he will face off with a Seahawks’ defense that is allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and the sixth-most rushing yards to QBs as well. This is a matchup that suits his skill set perfectly.

Andy Dalton/Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints

The Saints have not announced their starting quarterback for Week 8, however, whomever it is will be an excellent streaming candidate. One of these QBs will be taking on the Raiders who have allowed the most fantasy points to the position this season. Last week, they were torched by Davis Mills for over 300 yards and two TDs. Both of these QBs are significantly more prolific than Mills and have better weapons.

Running Backs

Khalil Herbert, Chicago Bears

You may still be able to find Herbert on your waiver wire in more shallow leagues. He is still considered the backup to David Montgomery but is coming on strong. After his showing on Monday Night Football, if you don’t get him now he will be gone soon.

Last week, he took 12 carries for 62 yards and caught a 25-yard TD pass. Montgomery handled only three more carries and didn’t catch a pass. He also played a season-high 41 percent of snaps in a game when Montgomery wasn’t injured.

Keaontay Ingram, Arizona Cardinals

Now for a deeper streamer that should be available in almost all leagues. Eno Benjamin is getting all the attention after last week, but don’t overlook Ingram. He saw two targets and got a lot of goal-line work that resulted in a TD, and his nine carries were only three fewer than Benjamin’s. His snap percentage also jumped from 13 percent to 30 percent last week. If James Conner is inactive again this week, Ingram is going to get work and can be streamed as desperation flex.

Wide Receivers

Sammy Watkins, Green Bay Packers

This feels gross to even say, but Watkins could have a decent week despite a bad matchup with the Bills. With Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, and Randall Cobb all likely out this week, Aaron Rodgers is running out of options. Green Bay is down to Watkins and Romeo Doubs, but Watkins is more likely to be available in your league and has played better since returning from injury. He also has the big game upside he tends to show once or twice a year.

Parris Cambell, Indianapolis Colts

Campbell has suddenly become a major piece in the Colts’ offense. After doing nothing for most of his career, over the past two weeks he has seen 23 targets and turned them into 127 yards and two TDs. He’s still a scary start, but a jump in production like this maintained over multiple weeks can’t just be ignored. The only concern here is the quarterback change. It’s unclear how going from Matt Ryan to Sam Ehlinger will impact this offense.

Elijah Moore, New York Jets

The squeaky wheel may get the oil in this case. Moore has been generally unproductive and underutilized this season. After seeing zero targets in Week 6, he demanded a trade and was not active in Week 7. Unfortunately, last week the Jets lost Breece Hall and Corey Davis to injury. That opens up a lot of targets and opportunities for Moore. He has a below-average matchup this week against the Pats but has the superior talent to get the best of any matchup. He just needs Zach Wilson to give him a chance to do so.

Tight Ends

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

Johnson had a big game last week catching two TDs. However, we aren’t just chasing points here. He has another great matchup this week against the Raiders who are allowing the third-most fantasy points to tight ends. There is also a good chance New Orleans is once again without Adam Trautman, Michael Thomas, and Jarvis Landry, which opens up more opportunities for him again this week. He’s widely available and one of the best streaming options of the week.

Chris Myarick, New York Giants

Here’s one for deep leagues. The Giants lost Daniel Bellinger last week to an eye injury, and he had been a major part of their offense. If you look at the Giants’ depth chart you will see Tanner Hudson is the TE2. However, Myarick is the guy to stream. Once Bellinger went down, he saw the huge bump in snaps and the tight end targets. He may be a risky play, but the matchup against the Seahawks could make him worth the risk. They are allowing the most fantasy points to TEs and get lit up week after week.
