Thursday's Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire: Diabate Surging, Dosunmu Thriving
Four waiver wire targets trending up heading into Thursday's NBA slate.
We just went over fantasy basketball streaming options for Thursday, and now will tackle more traditional waiver wire adds in this article.
Here are waiver wire stories from Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Washington's Bilal Coulibaly is the top pickup so far today, but he's someone we covered already on Wednesday, so we'll focus on four others instead.

Moussa Diabate: Big Man Trending Up
Diabate is up 7.47% today so far and sits at 59.04% overall.
Diabate was a player I mentioned in my streaming article for Thursday. He's maybe worth adding and holding in leagues right now though.
He has scored in double figures in four straight games, averaging 12.8 points per game in that stretch. Diabate is also averaging 10.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists and steals and 0.5 blocks per game in that stretch. He's shooting an eye-popping 87% overall in that stretch.
Diabate is coming off a game in which he delivered 18 points and 19 rebounds, so it's easy to see why he's on the rise. He's a good streaming option for tonight, but also should be held onto in a good amount of leagues.
I'd say he needs to be rostered in all deeper leagues right now. Stream him tonight if he's still available in your league, and then hold Diabate until his production starts to fade a bit.
Diabate is worth streaming in some standard leagues as well, especially if you need help at power forward or center. He too could be worth holding in those leagues until his production drops off a bit.
Ayo Dosunmu: Expanded Role Leading to Improved Production
Dosunmu has been added in 7.05% of leagues, bringing his overall mark up to 71.85%.
Chicago is dealing with some injuries, most notably to Josh Giddey, Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones, which puts Dosunmu in a good spot to deliver for the Bulls.
He's trending up of late, playing in 25 or more minutes the past two contests. Dosunmu has scored in double figures in three straight and seven of the past eight contests. Dating back to late December, he's averaging 15.2 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 0.4 blocks over 25.9 minutes a night.
There's enough in those numbers to add and utilize Dosunmu in a good amount of leagues right now. He should already be rostered in all deeper leagues, so if you can add him today in one of those leagues, consider yourself lucky.
He's a streaming option in standard leagues for the time being, and I'd consider holding and utilizing him until his production fades, or his role diminishes with the return of several teammates.
Dosunmu can deliver good fantasy marks with a good amount of playing time, so make sure you exhaust his fantasy value before you move on from him.
Jared McCain: Starting to Settle In
McCain is sitting at 13.73% overall after a big 6.11% jump so far today.
McCain's second NBA season has been largely a disappointment, but things are starting to look a bit more promising for him. He has tallied 33 points, four rebounds, six assists and a block over his past two games.
He has most importantly played 23 and 24 minutes in those contests. For the season, McCain is averaging just 17.2 minutes a night, and his averages are not great as a result.
Philly plays tonight, so part of why he's being added is to serve as a streamer. McCain could be trending up already, so adding and holding him in some leagues makes plenty of sense too.
He's just a deep-league fantasy asset, but with a couple weeks of improved play, he could become a standard league threat, so everyone at least needs to keep tabs on him for a bit. Deep-league fantasy owners are the ones who should be considering adding/streaming McCain right now though.
Max Christie: Looking to Bounce Back
Christie has been added in 5.66% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 77.12%.
He continues to start and log heavy minutes for the Mavericks, and it's led to pretty positive fantasy results. Christie's last game was a rare down performance, as he only tallied nine point, four rebounds and one assist and steal over 32 minutes.
Christie had scored over 20 points in the four games before that, and had been in double figures in 11 straight in total. Most are looking at Christie's last game as an outlier and are expecting him to bounce back tonight.
I like the idea of streaming Christie tonight, as one off game won't sway my opinions on a player. That makes him a standard league streaming option for tonight, and he becomes a player to hold if he bounces back. He should already be rostered in all deeper leagues.
