Porter Martone | Fantasy Outlook
Martone seeks offensive spark as Flyers host Kraken
Porter Martone and the Flyers host the Kraken tonight at Xfinity Mobile Arena searching for their first victory of the season (0-5-2). The 19-year-old rookie broke through with a power-play marker against Boston over the weekend, offering a glimpse of his upside despite Philadelphia's early-season struggles. Martone currently skates on the third line alongside Sean Couturier and Owen Tippett at even strength, but his deployment on the top power-play unit keeps his scoring ceiling viable. Philadelphia enters as slight home favorites in an average scoring environment, though Martone's fantasy start rate has dipped to 48% amid his modest single-point start through seven games.
Our models project Martone for around ~0.5–1.0 point with ~2–3 shots on goal tonight, translating to roughly 2.9 fantasy points with modest hit and penalty minute peripherals. His PP1 role gives him an outside chance at special-teams production, though his 5-on-5 shot volume remains somewhat muted early on. Looking at the broader week, Philadelphia has three total games scheduled, leaving two matchups after tonight where our models anticipate roughly 3.6 fantasy points total. Given his bottom-six even-strength minutes mixed with top power-play opportunity, today's action: Cautious Start.
