Jarace Walker: Minutes Trending Up

Walker is the top waiver add of the day so far. He's up 10.8% and he is owned in 23.08% of leagues overall now.

Walker has seen an increase in his playing time of late. He's started two of the past four contests, and played at least 21 minutes in each game. Walker is at 26 or more minutes in three of those contests.

Walker has delivered while playing more too. He has averaged 16.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks over 27 minutes. He's coming off a 26-point performance, and tallied 19 in the game before that.

It's pretty easy to see why he's on the rise today. Walker doesn't do a ton else, but a few other stats here and there boosts his value a bit too.

His season-long averages only warrant deep-league fantasy usage, but right now, it's not crazy to want to try him in standard leagues. Walker definitely needs to be added and utilized in more deeper leagues, and I'd hold him in those leagues until his production falls off.

Fantasy basketball streaming/waiver wire usage is all about taking advantage of players in hot stretches, and Walker is in one now, so utilize him now.

Malik Monk: Scoring Spark with Expanded Role

Monk has been added in 8.09% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 63.35%.

Monk's season averages are pretty blah - he's just a deep-league asset. But with how he's been playing of late, Monk is a standard league asset.

Over the past five games, he's scored no less than 16 points. He's averaging 18.6 points, 3.2 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 0.4 steals over 27.2 minutes. He's shooting 55.7% in that stretch, plus is 51.4% from 3-point land.

Those kinds of shooting percentages won't stick forever, so I'd suggest adding and utilizing Monk while he's trending up. He continues to come off the bench, but is playing and delivering enough to utilize him in any league type.

He should be owned in all deeper leagues now, even if it's until his production starts to fade a bit. Monk is a standard league streaming asset for the time being, and could be held if you have a need at guard.

Moses Moody: Quietly Delivering Consistent Value

Moody is rostered in 53.17% of leagues, which is up 5.74% today.

Moody has started 21 straight games for the Warriors, so his role is pretty set. He's averaging 24.1 minutes a night, so that holds his fantasy value back a touch.

He's been in a very good groove of late, scoring in double figures in seven straight contests. Moody is averaging 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.7 steals and blocks over 25.1 minutes a night. He is shooting 57.1% overall in that timeframe, plus is 56.5% from deep.

Golden State is without Jimmy Butler III for the remainder of the season, so players need to step up. Moody has been one of the guys helping out more of late, so this could be sustainable - of course, if Golden State adds more talent, it could take Moody's minutes and production away, but instead of playing the what-if game, just utilize him until it actually comes true.

The Warriors are also without Jonathan Kuminga right now, and that's helping Moody play a touch more and be more productive when on the court. That helps explain Moody's increased production of late.

He's mostly just providing fantasy value through his scoring, but there's enough else there to roster him in all deeper leagues at this point. I think he has some sneaky-good standard league value right now, especially coming off a 19-point performance in his last game.

I don't think Moody's role is going to drop significantly anytime soon, and while it's not elite fantasy production, there's definitely some value he's providing. Definitely dig a little deeper with Moody and see if he's outproducing some of the fantasy players currently on your team - you might be surprised to see that Moody is a better asset for the time being.
