Fantasy Baseball Pitchers Being Overlooked in Too Many Leagues
Looking for pitching help? These starters and relievers are producing strong fantasy numbers, yet are being overlooked in a lot of leagues.
After looking at some fantasy baseball hitters who were undervalued, let's turn our attention to some underowned fantasy pitchers.
The pitchers will be owned in more leagues than a lot of the hitters were, but that doesn't mean they aren't undervalued right now.

Aaron Ashby - Milwaukee Brewers
Ashby is a reliever, and doesn't close games, but he's a decent fantasy asset in 2026.
That's because he has already racked up nine wins. He has pitched in 27 games, and he sports a 2.17 earned run average over 37 1/3 innings. Ashby has allowed 11 runs (nine earned) on 31 hits and 18 walks, while striking out 52 batters.
Ashby is pitching in high-leverage situations for the Brewers, which gives him sneaky-good fantasy upside. He's being overlooked, even though he's rostered in 49% of leagues. Look into adding the reliever in all deeper leagues, and some standard leagues if you need some extra fantasy help from fantasy relievers.
Eduardo Rodriguez - Arizona Diamondbacks
Rodriguez has a 2.24 ERA over his 12 starts this season.
He is 5-1 and has pitched 72 1/3 innings. Rodriguez has allowed 19 runs (18 earned) on 60 hits and 26 walks. He has 52 strikeouts so far. His 1.19 WHIP and .222 average are pretty solid marks.
Rodriguez is at 78% rostered, and I believe that's too low still, so I included him in this story. He is worth holding in even more leagues, but at least treat him as a standard league streaming option.
Paul Sewald - Arizona Diamondbacks
Sewald is tied for fourth in the league with 15 saves.
He has pitched 22 1/3 innings and sits with a 3.63 ERA. He's 1-4, but has blown just one save. Sewald has allowed 10 runs (nine earned) on 10 hits and six walks, while striking out 24 batters.
Sewald is a good fantasy closer option right now, and Arizona is winning enough to support him. He is rostered in 75% of leagues, and I think that's still too low. Look into adding him today.
Cade Cavalli - Washington Nationals
Cavalli is rostered in 61% of leagues at the moment. He's up over the past month, but probably is worth even more fantasy ownership and utilization.
Cavalli has started 13 games so far this season, and he's 3-3 with a 3.62 ERA in those games. He has allowed 33 runs (26 earned) on 68 hits and 24 walks. Cavalli has 74 strikeouts over 64 2/3 innings.
The Washington starting pitcher is a good deep-league fantasy option right now, and he's a standard league option too. At least consider him as a standard league streaming option for the time being.
Michael McGreevy - St. Louis Cardinals
He has a strong 1.10 WHIP mark through 12 starts.
McGreevy is 3-5, but with a strong 2.98 ERA over 66 1/3 innings. He's allowed 22 runs on 56 hits and 17 walks. McGreevy has struck out 44 batters, which holds his fantasy value back a bit.
McGreevy is rostered in 55% of fantasy leagues right now. He needs to be rostered and held in deeper leagues, and treated as a standard league streaming option, at least. McGreevy might be worth holding in standard leagues, especially for those of you lacking pitchers.
Sean Burke - Chicago White Sox
Burke is owned in about 41% of leagues right now. He is up over the past few weeks, but he had been around that mark about a month ago.
He has appeared in 12 games so far, making 10 starts. Burke is 2-3 with a 3.72 ERA over 65 1/3 innings. He's allowed 28 runs (27 earned) on 56 hits and 18 walks. Burke has struck out 60 batters along the way.
Burke is enjoying a career season, but while he's pitching well, I'd be utilizing him in more fantasy leagues. He is a pretty solid deep-league fantasy asset, and he can be added in most of those leagues and held. Burke is a standard league streaming option as well, but watch his matchups carefully and only try him in really good matchups.
Foster Griffin - Washington Nationals
Griffin has a 3.76 ERA over 12 games started this season.
He is 6-2 and has pitched 67 innings. Griffin has allowed 32 runs (28 earned) on 56 hits and 21 walks. He has struck out 65 batters so far. Griffin is pitching much better than his career numbers, so he's one to utilize while he's pitching better.
Griffin is rostered in about 60% of leagues right now. That makes him a pretty good deep-league fantasy asset, and should be held in those leagues. Griffin is a standard league streaming option, and could be held if he gets in a good groove.
