At the start of another new day, let's go over some of the recent NFL transactions.

Here is the last article we did, which also provides links to other transaction breakdown stories. If you keep going back, you'll eventually get links to every article we've posted since Monday (when free agency news started coming in).

Chargers Add New RB

Let's start with the most prevalent free agency move for fantasy football owners. Keaton Mitchell signed a two-year deal worth $9.25 million with Los Angeles, giving the team a speedy running back to utilize.

Mitchell has been in the league for three years, but has just 26 total games played. He logged 13 of those games last year in Baltimore, tallying 404 total yards and a touchdown.

I like this signing for Mitchell, as he joins a backfield where Omarion Hampton is the clear lead back now. Kimani Vidal and Jaret Patterson are there as well, but if healthy, Mitchell should be the team's No. 2 back after Hampton.

Hampton dealt with injuries in his rookie season, and if that continues, Mitchell could be the lead back at times in LA. Even as the No. 2 back, I could see Mitchell getting enough work to have some deep-league fantasy league appeal. I think he'd only get into standard leagues after a Hampton injury.

It's a good signing for LA, who should be moving on from Najee Harris. It's a good depth signing at a position that needed another body.

Cowboys Make Two More Trades

Dallas traded Osa Odighizuwa to San Francisco, getting a third-round pick in return. The Cowboys then sent Solomon Thomas and a seventh-round pick to Tennessee in exchange for a seventh-round pick.

The Cowboys have added Otito Ogbonnia, Rashan Gary, Jalen Thompson and P.J. Locke in free agency, so these were really the first moves that took talent away from the defense.

Right now, Ogbonnia, Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams are the projected defensive linemen, which is a pretty solid group. That room needs depth though, so expect signings or draft picks there.

Gary and Donovan Ezeiruaku are the pass-rushing linebackers, with DeMarvion Overshown and Kenneth Murray are the middle linebackers. There's depth at each spot, but another acquisition or two at LB makes sense this offseason.

DaRon Bland, Shavon Revel Jr. and Reddy Steward are the projected starting cornerbacks. I could see another pickup at corner yet this offseason, as the depth there is kind of weak.

Malik Hooker and Thompson are the projected safeties, with Locke another option. A draft pick could still be coming at safety, but that seems like a pretty stable room.

Overall, the Dallas defense has some good players, but I don't see it being a high-end unit in 2026. The Cowboys haven't been afraid to make moves, so don't be surprised if more trades are made between now and the regular season.

As for the other teams in these deals, Thomas adds another lineman for Tennesee, which has made several defensive moves (Jermaine Johnson, John Franklin-Myers, Cor'Dale Flott, Alontae Taylor). The Titans are much better on defense now, and that unit could lead the team to better success in 2026.

Odighizuwa will start for the Niners, adding to a defense that will be led by Raheem Morris now. Odighizuwa is the only notable defensive add this offseason, but there's time in free agency and the draft to keep adding. The unit mostly just needs depth now though.

Jacksonville Adds Rodriguez

Chris Rodriguez Jr. signed a two-year deal worth $10 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He adds another body to the running back room, which was needed after Travis Etienne left in free agency. Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen are other RB options for Jacksonville.

The position is definitely weaker after Etienne left, but the Jaguars could be able to piece things together with Tuten, Allen and now Rodriguez. For now, Tuten looks like the lead back, and if no other backs are added this offseason, he could be a really good fantasy asset in 2026, and probably not be a high-end draft pick.

Rodriguez will have to show out to be anything more than a depth back in Jacksonville. He signed for a healthy amount, so maybe the Jaguars see a role for him. He's just a low-level fantasy option for the time being though.

Bucs Grab D-Lineman

Tampa Bay signed A'Shawn Robinson on a one-year deal worth $10 million.

He was the second notable defensive signing in Tampa Bay after Alex Anzalone. Both of those guys should be starters for the Bucs in 2026.

Tampa Bay lost a lot of talent this offseason, and is trying to fill the voids in some fashion. The team is definitely not as talented now, so it could be an uphill climb to get back to the postseason.

The NFC South is weak though, so until a team overtakes Tampa Bay, I still like them to come out of the division. Their DST won't be as good in 2026, unless they hit it big with later free agency signings or get high-end draft talents.

The offense will likely have to carry the load, and now without Mike Evans too, things aren't looking as promising on that side of the ball either.

Commanders Grab Another Defensive Piece

Washington kept adding free agents, this time signing Charles Omenihu on a one-year deal worth$10 million.

He joins Odafe Oweh, K'Lavon Chaisson, Leo Chenal, Nick Cross, Amik Robertson and Tim Settle Jr. as free agency additions this offseason. Washington has revamped its defense, and if it all comes together, this unit could be sneaky good in 2026.

Oweh, Chaisson, Chenal, Cross and Robertson are all projected starters, while Settle and Omenihu are depth guys, but could play enough snaps for some deep, deep league IDP usage.

I like what Washington has done, but wonder when they will start adding offensive help for Jayden Daniels. So far, Chig Okonkwo is the only notable offensive signing, and even with him around, the pass-catcher group in Washington is below average.

Giants Re-Sign O-Lineman

New York is bringing back Evan Neal on a one-year, minimum-salary deal. He was the No. 7 overall pick in 2022, so he's failed to live up to that hype, but new coach John Harbaugh has decided to give him another chance.

It's not a huge signing by any means, but as a former highly-regarded pick, he's worth mentioning. Neal has a chance to start again, after not appearing in a game in 2025. He has 27 starts over 29 appearances in his career.

New York added Isaiah Likely and Patrick Ricard on offense this offseason. They both come over with Harbaugh.

I was hoping to see more offensive help added for young quarterback Jaxson Dart, but it hasn't really happened. They also lost Wan'Dale Robinson, which is more concerning when knowing that Malik Nabers is coming off a major injury.

I'd be really surprised if the Giants don't add another wide receiver in free agency or the draft, as there's just not enough talent in that room right now. We'll see if Neal can help fortify an offensive line that has to protect Dart.

The Next Big Signing?

I'll end with some news on what could be the next big signing.

Quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to visit with the Vikings on Thursday, and if all goes well, he could sign there soon. Minnesota has been tabbed as his likely landing spot.

We will cover things more in depth if it actually comes true, but my first reaction is that would be a fun offense. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are a fun 1-2 punch at wide receiver, and T.J. Hockenson is a solid tight end. Aaron Jones Sr. is back to lead the running back room, with help from Jordan Mason.

Murray could revive his career in Minnesota, if that's where he ends up landing. I have a feeling I'll be going in depth about that transaction here soon.
