Week 14 of the NFL regular season got underway with the Lions topping the Cowboys on Thursday night. Here, we will go over some fantasy football waiver wire targets as the weekend slate of NFL games approaches.

We will go over quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends in this article.

Fantasy football waiver options can be found daily on FantasySP!

Quarterbacks

Two quarterbacks are on the rise at the time of publication. Those QBs are Washington's Jayden Daniels and Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence.

Daniels is rostered in 85.62% of leagues after a 4.61% increase so far today.

Daniels has been practicing in hopes of returning to the field, and after a full practice, he looks likely to get back for week 14 against the Vikings. He's been out with a left elbow injury.

Daniels was a great fantasy asset in his rookie season last year, but injuries have led to underwhelming fantasy results in 2025. His dual-threat ability always makes him a pretty good fantasy asset.

His matchup against Minnesota is below average, so I'm not a massive fan of his for week 14, especially coming off another absence.

I didn't expect Daniels to play this week, but if he does, I'd rank him around No. 15

Lawrence has been added in 1.32% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 65.36%.

Even with some turnover issues, he's been an average-or-better fantasy QB in seven of the past eight games he's played in. He'd probably be rostered in more leagues if he didn't have a below-average test coming against the Colts.

I had Lawrence ranked 15th for week 15 - he'd fall a spot below Daniels if the Washington quarterback returns. I like Lawrence better in deeper leagues, but some might need to start him in standard leagues.

Running Backs

New Orleans' Devin Neal, Washington's Chris Rodriguez, Kansas City's Isiah Pacheco and Arizona's Bam Knight are the four running backs on the rise on the waiver wire list today.

Neal is up 7.85% and now is rostered in 78.36% of leagues overall.

Neal was solid while serving as the team's top back in week 13. He should fill that role again in week 14 with Alvin Kamara out of the picture.

A super favorable matchup against the Buccaneers is a big reason why Neal is surging up today. He should have already been added in a bunch of leagues after Kamara went down, so act quickly if you want to add the Saints' rookie back.

I have Neal ranked 24th among running backs for week 14. The matchup is favorable enough to try him in standard leagues, and he definitely needs to be starting in deeper leagues.

Rodriguez has been added in 3.12% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 58.57%.

He appears to be the top Washington back, after logging 26 carries and 27 total touches over the past two games. It led to so-so fantasy production.

His week 14 matchup against the Vikings is just below average, so he's another good deep-league option, with standard league upside. I have Rodriguez ranked 26th for the coming week.

Pacheco is owned in 76.39% of leagues after a 1.31% increase today.

Pacheco got back on the field in week 13, but only had five touches, and two of those were catches. He finished with 33 total yards.

It's fair to expect Pacheco to take on more since another week has passed, but a tougher test against the Texans has me wary of his fantasy outlook. I like him a lot better as a deep-league asset, and I'd avoid him in standard leagues if I could.

I didn't include Pacheco in my top-30 fantasy backs for week 14, but did have teammate Kareem Hunt at No. 30. Until Pacheco overtakes Hunt, Pacheco is just a deep-league asset in my eyes.

Knight is up 1.18% and sits at 56.07% overall now.

Knight could serve as RB1 against for Arizona, since Trey Benson hasn't practiced yet this week. Even if Benson is back, Knight should serve as the lead back for week 14.

He has a brutal matchup coming against the Rams, so I did not include Knight in my top-30 fantasy backs. He's not far off the list, but I'm avoiding all the Arizona backs in this brutal matchup if I can. Knight has deep-league value only this week to me.

Wide Receivers

Green Bay's Christian Watson, Tampa Bay's Mike Evans, New York Jets' Adonai Mitchell and New Orleans' Devaughn Vele are all on the rise today.

Watson is up 2.29% and now is rostered in 91.18% of leagues overall.

Watson has been the top Packers' pass catcher pretty much since he returned in week 8. He has been near or above 10 PPR points in three straight games, and has three touchdown grabs in that span.

Watson has an above-average matchup coming against the Bears, and with his fantasy production so far, I like the idea of not only adding him, but playing him in a bunch of leagues in week 14.

Watson was my 27th-ranked fantasy wideout for week 14.

Evans sits at 81.05% rostered after a 1.55% increase today.

He is trending toward returning after getting back to practice this week. Evans hasn't played since week 7 because of a broken collarbone.

If he returns this week, he'd go up against the Saints, who are a below-average matchup. I think he'd be on a snap count if he suits up, and in a below-average test, I'd stay away from starting Evans in standard leagues - he's a fine deep-league option. Evans did not make my top 30.

Mitchell is up 1.16% and is sitting at 51.63% overall now.

He was a big waiver wire add this week after going for 102 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions and 12 targets in week 13. The trade to the Jets has opened a path to fantasy relevance for Mitchell, and he might be able to take advantage of that down the stretch.

The Dolphins are a below-average test for fantasy wideouts, so that knocks Mitchell down a couple pegs this week. I still had him ranked 30th among wideouts this week, meaning he's a flex-level option for standard leagues - I'm starting him in deeper leagues after what he did last week.

Vele has been added in 1.03% of leagues, bringing his overall mark to 20.59%.

Vele has been trending up too. His best game was last week, when he posted 93 yards and a score across eight catches and targets.

Tampa Bay is an above-average matchup, so the chance for Vele to shine again is there. I am with fantasy owners in treating Vele just as a deep-league asset, but I think he could be owned and started in more deeper leagues than he currently is.

Keep an eye on him in case he delivers again, because he might be what Mitchell was as a fantasy waiver pickup going into week 15.

Tight Ends

Miami's Darren Waller, Los Angeles Rams' Colby Parkinson, New Orleans' Juwan Johnson and Seattle's AJ Barner are all rising as the weekend hits.

Waller is up 2.61%, which brings his overall mark to 40.85%.

Waller returned to the field in week 13 and had 47 yards on two receptions and three targets. He could become more involved in week 14.

The Jets are a slightly below-average test for him, so I have him ranked 17th among tight ends for week 14. I think he is capable of delivering a big fantasy score, but I'd only really want to start him in deeper leagues in week 14.

Parkinson is rostered in 12.15% of leagues after a 1.74% increase.

Parkinson has been steadily involved over the past several weeks, but a lot of his fantasy production was coming from scoring touchdowns. He didn't score last week, which was his first game in four tries without a score.

Arizona is a favorable matchup for tight ends, and that's who Parkinson faces in week 14. As a result, I have Parkinson ranked 23rd for the coming week. Try him in deeper leagues if you are scrambling for a fantasy TE.

Johnson has been added in 1.66% of leagues and now is owned in 83.99% of leagues.

Johnson has been a pretty solid fantasy asset most of the season, so I think he continues to be overlooked. A slightly below-average matchup against the Bucs in week 14 is another chance for him to post a solid fantasy score.

I ranked him seventh for week 14, so I like him in all fantasy setups.

Barner is up 1.45% and sits at 23.53% overall.

He's been a solid, but below-average, fantasy tight end most weeks. Barner has produced a couple big games at least.

Barner has a brutal test coming against the Falcons, so I ranked him way down at No. 20. He's just a deep-league option in my eyes because of that matchup.
